The business goes by a different name. They lure you in with the Travelodge name but do not honor prices advertised on Google maps - the person at the counter said they don't honor third-party advertised prices... lol.

This hotel is a puzzling mix of nice and "dear god we might die here." It is currently operating under two names - Ville 718 and Travelodge. The property is in a good location with restaurants in walking distance and a grocery store just a couple of minutes away. The staff was nice. However, the person working the overnight shift was wearing street clothes rather than a uniform or some other identifier to show he worked there. He also seemed was more interested in hanging out with his friend in the courtyard rather than assisting customers. That said, he was a little shy but very kind. The property has a mix of affordable housing (cheers to Grand Junction and Travelodge for giving people a safe place to live at a decent price) and hotel. The hotel rooms are in the process of being updated. The room we were in seemed to be about halfway done - the floors, bed, and sitting area were awesome! The door hadn't been sealed yet, so we got lots of debris and bugs sneaking in through the cracks; the light in the bathroom strobed like it was at a rave. (Yes, we did let the management know about the issues.) In general, the property was maintained, but you can definitely see the areas that are in need of a little attention. Two things that I absolutely loved were the feral cats (lots of notched ears) being cared for and the "totem poles" made of ceramic items with inspirational says on them. Overall, this is a property that is in transition with lots of potential. It will be interesting to see how it looks in a year or two.

Our room was used, bed unmade, trash in bathroom and bedroom. We were given another room but hotel was nearly empty of guests so how did this happen?

The room was clean enough but the desk chair was falling apart. Bed was as hard as a rock. Shower hot water handle was busted and hard to adjust. Water constantly changed temperature in the shower, from cold to scalding. No fan in the bathroom. The front desk was always empty. Always had to ring a bell and wait. I think the host was playing video games in a back room.Location was not great. Just far enough aqay from everything to be inconvenient, but close enough to be reasonable. Bad housing in the area behind the hotel.

Terrible hotel. They tried to fix it up by replacing floor, uneven floor my dog didn't even want to walk on.Toothpast on walls in bathroom, dirty switch covers. Bathtub old and slippery. Someone will even tally fall and seek litigation. The electrician should be fired. It really wouldn't pass an inspection. Multiplearea of problems.I felt like I checked into a homeless shelter. $194 for one night . He said the $100 was a damage deposit that would be removed when I checked out. 4days now without removal.Internet says it's a $60 room.It looks like this place is an extended stay place and that explains a lot.Do yourself a favor weary traveler stay far away from this very sad hotel.

Was charged $35 for a "stain on the sheet" that supposedly couldn't come out with a proper wash. Toilet didn't flush, bathtub was disgusting as it would not drain. Only getting a single star because it's across the street from a liquor store.

Hotel is super old & getting run down. They have homeless & section 8 housing people staying there as well. Lots of sketchy looking people around the area. Bathroom was clean. They have a great sign of all the items in the hotel room that are "for sale" if you decide to take something. Like the blow dryer - $45, bath towel - $25, pillow - $45, etc. Makes you wonder what random charge they might throw your way a week or 2 later after you've stayed there. We couldn't wait to get out of there the next morning. The room was hot and hard to cool down to sleep very well. It was okay but just a general feeling of not being completely safe.

Pool wasn't open. Bare essentials in room. Leaky faucet in bathroom. Bathroom door falling off its hinges. Red spots on the old carpet in several places. The window overlooking the courtyard was dirty; someone tried to scrape it off but made it worse. The TV and the remote were worthless. No list of channels; the channel listed on TV was not what was being broadcast. We will not be back nor will we recommend this place to others. By the way, this is not Travelodge anymore; new name is Ville 718. Wyndham should be ashamed, if indeed they have anything to do with this place.

First, I made my reservation online, when I arrived at the hotel they require a 100.00 deposit upfront. It would have been nice to be made aware of this during booking. And if you pay the deposit via credit or debit..they take it right away but you don't get it back for 3-5 business days so be aware if you choose to stay here.. front desk guy was very quiet I could barley hear him.. not very informative on anything. did not tell me where my room was I had to find it on my own. Looking at a faded printed map on the wall at the front desk. For a large hotel that was not customer service. Only 4 Pillows on a king bed were small and hard. Bathroom door did not shut all the way, not enough parking. My kids and I did not feel safe parking in the back near our room, so we parked up front. Lots of noisy gusts outside and stomping above us for hours after 10:00. Shower curtain Lobby carpet and furniture was stained. The only good things were the room was clean and cheap. I only no liner so water got all over the floor,, hazardous..guess you get what you pay for. Would not stay here again.

Update: they ended up charging me twice instead of giving me the refund right away. I was on the phone with their front desk staff for weeks trying to get my money back. Horrible experience. Please read original review posted in the photos.

Pet Friendly = Fleas.Mention it, and you're to blame. Can't really do justice to just how miserable this place is. Rooms are filthy, dog and human hair everywhere - stuck to walls, shower curtain. Vanity area smelled of cat urine. Outlets so loose plugs fall out of the wall. Lamps had dead bulbs and plugs had broken-off third prongs (ground).I would recommend taking management's repeated expressions of regret in response to these reviews with a grain or twenty of salt. You'll note consistent expressions of regret, and a parallel track of consistently bad reviews. But management does apologize for those unrepresentative, unpleasant experiences people have had. And had. And had.

We were on a road trip and it was too hot out and we were looking forward to showers. The room looked clean online and so we booked a room. Needless to say we did not shower. The bathroom was disgusting. We were so repulsed by it. Someone else’s room key was on the table, the trash was not taken out, the toilet seat was dirty, and worst of all there were paint chips in the tub and wads of someone’s wet hair in the tub. We only stayed because we needed a bed for the night. Otherwise I would’ve preferred to sleep in my hot as heck car. Before checking in we were warned by a fellow guest that the rooms were not clean. Should’ve turned around at that point.

I was actually shocked when I opened the door to this motel room, with Wyndham name on it. Unfortunately there wasn’t any other room in town or I would have just turned around and went on my way. I wish I could post pictures because they really do speak for themselves. The molding had fallen off the bathroom wall exposing holes that looked like little mouse entrances. The mattress & box spring were both torn, there was daylight shining in all around the door. The bathroom fixtures are peach dating back to 1960’s and I am not exaggerating. There was black mold in the shower, which we did not use. I had 3 kids with me or I really would have rather slept in my vehicle. I was quoted 57.00 and charged a 106.00.All I can sum this up with is that they couldn’t pay me 106.00 to stay there again. I will always make reservations in advance from now on and having Wyndham brand obviously means nothing.
