August 25th at 6pm I went in to buy shoes and I witnessed a lady checking out a couple, she treated them badly. She raised her voice and was arguing with the lady. The other girl came with the shoes and they both were whispering to each other. So when I was leaving I asked another lady that was on the floor who the older lady was and she said it was the manager Kathy and the other one was the assistant manager Mercedes. I asked the girl her name and she said Abby, I said thank you. My concern is that there is poor management and the manager Kathy should not be managing with her poor attitude toward customers.

Couldn't find anything and the store was a pig pen. Asked for help and he said he was pretty busy in the other isle picking stuff up. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

This store appears to carry name-brand shoes, however, when said shoes fall apart within a week to a month or two of wear, this store will REFUSE to return them.Shoe Dept. Encore maintains a policy that shoes must be in new, re-sellable condition in order to return them.If you explore the matter further with the brand on the shoes you've purchased, you are likely to find out that the shoes are third-party manufactured and the company itself will not stand by the product, either (Head, K-Swiss, etc.) because this store is not an "authorized retailer." Save your time and don't spend your money at this store. You'll end up having to buy several pairs of shoes in a couple of months time if you shop at this retailer, and you might as well spend the money on a good quality pair from somewhere else that is going to hold together for longer than a week.AVOID SHOE DEPT. ENCORE.

Monday, May 22nd around 5 or 6pm I went to this location with my wife. Our experience was ridiculous. There was an employee by the name of Rose or Rosey I didn't catch her name, but she was very rude to customers & also employees. We over heard her yelling at employess. And the store was very dirty compared to a location we visited before. By dirty I mean shoes were thrown everywhere, it was very unorganized which surprised us because we've shopped here before & absolutely loved it & had no issues. I would really like to see something be done with this employee because as a frequent shopper I feel like if I go back & she's there then I will honestly not shop here again. And I will call corporate because the way she behaved was inappropriate.

I waited about 20 minutes in line while the worker went to find our other shoes to find out they couldn’t find one of them. We ended up buying a pair of boots to walk into Cabelas to find the same boots 27 dollars cheaper. Went to return the boots to shoe depot. There is one person who can do returns. I waited my turn and he took a customer before me that was not in line before me. Terrible customer service.

Shameful. Disgusting. Disrespectful.I've never had a worse experience trying to initiate a return for a product, or have such an unpleasant interaction than I had with this store. The redhead lady had such vitriol and hatred and actively tried to be as abrasive and uninformative as possible. However, I had forgotten my receipt for a return, so a return wasn't possible. What she had failed to tell me is that she could initiate an exchange, which I was happy to do.This specific employee was unacceptably rude and unhelpful. Either she hates her job, or is too lazy to put in basic effort to help a customer in need of help.I will never return. I would encourage anyone who is in the mall to avoid this store at all costs to save themselves from hideous customer service performed by foul-mannered individuals.I don't fault company policy or employees enforcing said policy, what I do fault is employees who are actively hostile to customers.

Hi, I was recently here. The reason that i am leaving a 1 star is there was rude people. Only 1 shoe in the box. Some boxes had no shoes. Couldn't even get my shoe size because there was only one shoe in the box.

There's a great selection of shoes. But I didn't find any 8.5 wide shoes by sketchers. So I had to come home and order them on line.

Stupidest store ever. Spent 45 minutes trying on shoes in this poorly displayed and organized store. Only one shoe in a box!?Headed for the checkout only to find an extremely long line. We walked out. If this one shoe system is for theft prevention that is a horrible solution. Shoes are a large item and difficult to shoplift. Investment in better security would be money better spent. Customer should be first priority and you lost us. I don’t normally write reviews but I had to voice my opinion on how utterly ridiculous this store works!

Went into Shoe Dept Encore to get some winter boots. After shopping for about 45 minutes and trying on 6 pr of boots without anyone at all asking if I need help I left. The store is cluttered with shoes piled on the seats. First time I've been there so I don't know if this is typical or not, but it doesn't make me want to go in again.

I came in to return a pair of boots. Whoever was managing was not only rude to me but very rude to the girl who helped me check out in the first place. I absolutely do not believe she should have been that rude to her employee over a simple mistake, and definitely not infront of customers in the store! Poor management. The employees were all kind and very helpful but whoever the manager was that day was disgustingly rude.

I like shopping in this store but yesterday I had a bad experience. When I took my things to the counter there were no checkers around. I stood and waited for a while. Finally a lady came up to the counter without a word of greeting or even as much as acknowledging me she totaled my bill. I don't think you will continue to have business if the service is like that!

I just had the worst experience at Shoe Dept at the Mesa Mall. A Spanish-speaking employee by the name of Roseanne was gossiping, and she thought I didn’t know Spanish, so she proceeded to say stuff about me to the other Spanish-speaking employee.She started saying that “she was watching over me, and that I wasn’t cleaning my mess, that she was keeping a close eye on what I was doing” as if she believed I was going to steal something. I then told her in Spanish that I was not done looking at the boots yet, I had several pairs out bc I was undecided about which ones I wanted, and that they will be put away when I am done.Roseanne proceeded to argue with me, and then sarcastically said “oh really?!?! ALL of them?!?I felt so unwelcome at that store, I was going to buy 3 pairs of boots but ended up leaving just with what I had already picked out.She then followed me to the register, it seems as if she was trying to intimidate me to make sure I didn’t request a manager.Note: I only had 4 pairs of boots out, I like to try them out several times and compare them before making a decision. Afterwards, I always put them away, I even put away other boots that have been left out by other people. Rude unprofessional employees such as Roseanne drive business away.
