An absolute gem of a hotel in Grand Junction!! It exceeded expectations all across the board. Honestly we’ll come back just to be able to enjoy this hotel more. Staff was always friendly and helpful, rooms were clean, up to date, and comfortable, and the food at Devils Kitchen is probably the best in town!! Can’t wait to come back.

What a great place to stay! Very nice, clean rooms and personnel are so friendly and eager to make one’s visit a good one. What a welcome change from the chain hotels. We’re so happy we found this hotel and we highly recommend it

We stayed one night, and that was enough. For a king-sized bed for one night, the total cost after all the nonsense taxes and fees came to 228.18, which is outrageous for what they provide. Which is faux luxury. Everything appears to be luxurious, but upon closer inspection, it's all as cheaply made as possible with less accommodations that much cheaper hotels. They at least give you a free complimentary breakfast. Here, all they give you in a half empty cup of nasty coffee for your stay. The mattress was extremely hard. The lights in the bathroom were ridiculously bright and couldn't be dimmed in the night or have alternative lights in the shower area besides the bright spotlights. The coffee maker location in the cabinet was awkward for filling the water as it was dark and couldn't be pulled out for ease of access. The coffee provided was very bitter, and the rooms had no creamer or sweetener of any kind. Considering the cost of the rooms, I would have thought that at least they would have been provided a nice selection of honey, sugar, and liquid creamers, etc. The little lotion bottle was so old you couldn't get any lotion out. The shower head had a drip while running that dripped onto the metal drain the whole time showing. The shower door wouldn't stay closed the entire way and kept sliding back open. Save your money and get a cheap hotel room with better amenities and a hot breakfast. Lesson learned with this hotel. I won't be booking with them again. What a total rip-off!

Terrible, terrible service. 2 days before my stay, my family experienced a medical emergency. Called to cancel first thing the next morning and they said the medical emergency didn't matter and they would still be charging us for the room. I understand having policies, but being heartless about it is extremely poor taste.

Great customer service. Stayed here many times since my daughter started going to CMU. There are signs that the hotel is aging though.Rooms: Rooms are good size and very nice. The usual general maintenance needs to be done like caulking the showers. Its time...

My boyfriend and I were traveling from Denver to Telluride this weekend, however after sitting for hours in standstill traffic and then dealing with terrible weather conditions we decided to stop for the night in Grand Junction. We typically stay at Marriott properties, however after a quick online search none of the properties seemed amazing based on reviews, other than one that was not dog-friendly. I stumbled upon the Maverick while seeing what other options there were and I am so glad I did. We finally arrived at 2am and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. They even offered us late check out since we arrived so late. They then gave us a cute cookie for our dog along with a dog bed and bowls. We got to our room and I was blown away by how spacious, modern and clean it was (I can be very nit-picky about the cleanliness of hotel rooms so I was impressed). We settled in to sleep and the room was also very quiet. They also had nice touches like vanity kit items and a coat rack with plenty of hooks. I would 100% come back and stay here for a longer stay!

It important to me to be able to travel with my pup and not have to worry about the quality of the stay. Hotel Maverick is not only pet-friendly but also so welcoming of my fur baby. Ruger was greeted with a cute hotel bandana and treat as well as dog bowls and bed, but we brought our own. The location next to the campus was great for our walks especially at night with well-lit sidewalks. The rooms are so comfortable and clean! And Devil's Kitchen was the perfect for in-room dining during our stay!If you're traveling to Grand Junction, I highly recommend staying at Hotel Maverick!

Nice hotel but check your bill. They tried to double charge me for the pet bill. An extra $150.

Just back from Hotel Maverick in Grand Junction - solid! The rooms seem new, with a special touch for my dog - a comfy bed and treat. Loved the restaurant's food and the convenience of a fridge in the room. The text service for any needs was handy, and the complimentary waters were appreciated. The showers were great too. It's a little away from the expressway, but the staff's warmth and efficiency more than compensated. Highly recommended!

We drove 12 hours from SD and were so very pleasantly surprised with this awesome urban type hotel after a long and tiring drive with our kids and dog.I will give 5 stars to any hotel that is clean and a comfortable stay, that's really all you need after a long drive and it's much appreciated. This hotel goes far beyond your average clean and comfy stay. Every inch of the hotel is incredible! Upon arrival, my energetic children rushing to the potty, myself and pup were welcomed by extremely nice staff, clean and lounge type lobby, it was a refreshing first impression of the hotel. Rooms were beautiful, clean, very fun design with the bathroom tile and the awesome KING sized bunk bed! They gave a few gifts, a delicious lavender fudge, very clean dog bed, raised dog bowls, a bandana and COOKIE for my pup! Those were included w the very affordable $75 pet fee for my 85lb bernedoodle. The beds were super comfy which is a very.big deal after traveling all day. The views, tall ceilings and huge windows were a great plus. The restaurant is gorgeous, I love the dining domes and converted dining gondolas on the rooftop restaurant deck. The coffee bar downstairs had great food (specifically loved the salmon lox bagel and vanilla latte) good selection and quality. They have 1 large jacuzzi, which we were very thankful for in 23 degree weather. Our family would much rather have a hot tub over a pool anyways. We also discovered they have a stinking BMX bike track in the back.We are pretty sure we met thr owner in the morning. Dog loving, very friendly man that anyone would love to talk to.Made very easy non contact text check out. My husband said the gym was awesome. The best part which I'm sure will change, this totally fun and funky upscale (luxury in my opinion) was the same price as your average holiday inn if not less (less than $200 for our bunk bed room)Such a cool option w kids rather than a suiteHappy to find our new forever pit stop! I'm more than Excited to return! They also said we have free access to their rec center down the road 5 min walk) ans an awesome looking kids museum is across the parking lot.

I stay here every time I'm in GJ. It's a lovely boutique hotel at an amazing price. The students who work here are very professional. Located on campus, and very convenient to other parts of the city.

What an amazing hotel, and amazing staff. Visiting my daughters today at CMU, I realized that I never thanked Hotel Maverick and The Devils Kitchen for a stay in 2021. A terrible, terrible, thing happened to one of my daughters fiends in Denver. I got to GJ as fast as I could to console my freshman. I called The Hotel Maverick and explained the situation. They got me right in and waived the fee for my dog because I had nowhere to take her. Everyone was over the top kind. Although Devils Kitchen had just closed, and they don’t do room service, the front desk let us order food and they delivered it to our room. I’ll never forget how subtly supportive the staff was. It made everything a tiny bit easier to deal with. And that was everything. Again, thanks so much. KCWalkability: On campus.
