After 30 years in this home and multiple attempts at obtaining quality, reliable internet service, I have found the best! The big box companies make it nearly impossible to speak to a real human being and their hardware is less than current. They were so bad that over the years, including last week, I have discontinued service simply because the customer service was even worse than the internet 'service' they claim to provide. Now! Grand Valley Telecommunications to the rescue! They listen, they respond, they are polite, timely, their rates are good and the internet connection is....RELIABLE! I am simply thrilled to be back with a local company.THANK YOU!

When the internet works it good. But their customer service is terrible.

I chose to terminate my service with GVT b/c my internet feed wasn’t up to snuff. Made 5 calls to the office in 3 weeks. Voicemail wasn’t always available. Even bothered repairman on his cell with no response. My feed was awful… slow, constant buffering and not strong enough. Had a few days in the past year when service went out for several hours. Finally got a call back. Set an appointment to have issue resolved but decided to have them pull the antenna off my roof when tech arrived. Learned the tower my signal depended on had been struck by lightening. No mention of that 6 weeks ago. Installer was not at fault, office staff blew it by not listening or returning my calls until I finally said nope. Too bad. Lots could have been better communicated. Management needs to improve customer service. Paid $70 to get things set up and tried it for a year. Note to management: If you wanna compete with larger providers, you’ve got to stand out by offering excellent customer service.

Grand Valley Telecommunications is absolutely horrible. Do not use them for any reason. Initially, your service will be adequate and close to what you are paying for but very soon after, your speeds will decrease to an unacceptable level. Their customer service is non-existent, they will not notify you of an outage, repair or anything that will interfere with your internet service. You will almost never get a follow up call, unless your payment is late. Save your money and frustration level and use anyone else besides Grand Valley Telecommuncations. I am filing a complaint with the Grand ************************** and the ******************* Department for possible fraud. You do not get what you are paying for with this company. I have to give them a one star rating or I would give them zero.

Been with these guys for about 4 years. Service is tolerable. Speed is all over the place, not as consistent as one would expect. My biggest complaint is you guys and your communication. You service your side of things and no one knows! You have customers left in the dark. No communication! You have a website with an area to communicate.

When the service works it works excellent. However for customer service they are very poor. I have been trying for over a month to get with someone about a NAT issue that all tests and troubleshooting points to the service provider but they can't be bothered to contact back. I understand about delays in an sudden influx of reported issues but to not even give a courtesy contact after 3 days to acknowledge that there will be a delay, let alone over a month of silence? Like I said, excellent service when it works, just pray you don't have issues that require talking to someone from the company. Update: I have also given the account information when trying to contact support and didn't help with getting responses

I have been fighting with another internet company for 3 weeks & nothing got resolved and, they refused to admit they were the ones with the issues. I called Grand Valley Communications. They came out right away. Fabian (Tech) was very knowledgeable and kind. Got us up & running that same morning! Grand Valley Communications are very professional, prompt and communicated with me every step of the way! I would highly recommend this company for your internet needs!!!

Service is very unstable, have rarely gotten anything close to the speeds promised. Very difficult to get ahold of and they don't return calls in a timely manor. No support after 5 on weekdays or on weekends when most of the issues occur. Unfortunately providers in my area are limited or I would be changing companies.Response to owners comment. I don’t see how we are are constantly using all or our bandwidth. When usually during the day no one is using the internet and at night we may have 1 tv streaming a SD video and a computer playing an online game. I have done multiple speed tests with only a computer plugged directly into the antenna with the same results. I have called several times and left several messages with no call back. After leaving the original post I did manage to finally talk to someone who took my number and said they will call me back. Will wait and see what happens.

Unprofessional, unreliable, unusable, they promise 20mb downloading speed for their residential service. I never could get test results above 13mb, and that was late, late at night. Also from the start there were billing problems and the customer service is non existent. Should have known from the start, their installation technician was an entire day (24 hours) late! Problems from the start, I’m changing my service to another carrier because now (6months later) my internet turns on for 30 seconds and off for 20 seconds. I looked it up online and it is a ploy internet providers use to save bandwidth. I have had it with their unprofessional, service, customer service and overall product. I miss spectrum!Dear Grand Valley Telecommunications, this is exactly what I am talking about. You see a negative comment outlining to you a number of things that can be done to improve your customer service, and instead of contacting me directly, (you have my phone number) to render assistance and help a customer, you choose to attack me for my comments about your spotty service and horribly poor customer service. Someday you will see why this is a problem. I will be returning your equipment to your offices down town on the 26th as the 27th is my start/end of service date. Update: the 27th is Sunday so I’ll be there Monday. Also since I left this review, the next day my service started working fine. No problem with hardware, not the radio, not the router, not the cable, nothing changed except your company stopped limiting bandwidth, the very practices you protest that you don’t do. I find it dishonest what you are doing, and I’m glad to be rid of you and your service. Update: I returned their equipment and all they wanted to do is attempt to engage me in a dialogue where they tried to turn the responsibility for their horrible service back on me. Beware and do not hire these people they are not interested in anything that resembles customer service.

The entire enterprise was a prob from the beginning. I took off work for the day to be there for the installation. No one came or called, around 4:30 I called them. The woman who answered the phone said they had a tower repair and everything was rescheduled. She assured me the technician would be there the next day. The technician did show up, I was not there but my wife was home. He set it up and got it working. I had left a check for the installation charges and the first month of service as per direction from their contact in their office. The technician refused to take the check, and told my wife someone would contact us. Several months went by and I heard nothing from them. One day I received an angry and frankly rude phone call from their office lady. I explained to her what had happened and that the technician gave her the wrong address because I had never received an invoice, she said she would send me an invoice and confirmed my address. Several weeks go by, and I get another angry phone call from them. She claims she is getting the bills back, story short she had the wrong name right address. When I finally received the invoice it was totally wrong, except for the changes for the installation. They had changed the monthly rate to a business account ($30.00 more per month), also they had the nerve to charge me late charges for their inability to do their invoices correctly. Finally the owner called, we had a calm conversation, I explained the situation to him and he agreed that they had made the errors and I agreed to pay them what we originally agreed on. I sent them a check and haven't heard from them since. As for the actual internet connection, mostly ok never great but where I live I do have a lot of choices. That being said I won't be taken advantage of either. To be continued....

Apparently its the customers responsibility to track down invoices for services rendered. Should customers just send checks to you with no account number? They dont send you invoice for months then unhook your service with no notification for "delinquent services". We paid our invoice once we were sent one, but to late, they snuck out one day while gone and unhooked us. It worked out for the better though, we found a cheaper friendly service. Almost $20 month cheaper for same speed so thanks! We will let all our Loma friends know of the better service option!

No communication at all.Charged us for transfer fee and we never transferred services , it was a new Startup. Then got on our roof without our permission and when noone was here.Reply: We were under the circumstances you billed quarterly. You gave no notice of late payment. No email, no call, nothing! As soon as we did receive a bill AT OUR 1ST QUARTER OF SERVICE we paid in full. You should contact your customers. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. SO 1 STAR.
