Popped in to make the most of the day we had planned to spend at Colorado National Monument. Due to a family illness we had to cancel those plans and rather than waste a 6 hr round trip to Grand Junction I decided to ask about other things to do.I spent more time discussing our route home which was quite helpful when we ran into bad weather the next morning when we intended to head back to Texas. They provided map of Colorado qhich ended up being quite useful! LOL

My family WILL NOT be spending any of our tourist money in GJ like we had originally planned to on our vacation next month in Colorado as we recently discovered how racist and self serving the GJ police are there.Avoid this city if you are a POC. GJ does not deserve our tourist dollars if they are going to ALLOW that racist dept to continue on with their racist and self serving ways. DO BETTER GJ!!!

Mission statement should be :" Keeping Grand Junction stuck in the 1960's, no matter what". This organization needs a massive top-down overhaul. Or, are they even relevant anymore?

They do amazing thongs for local businesses. Stop in and ask them about the benefits today.

Diane Swenke came out against against equal pay for women when proposed in 2019. She is one of the higher paid nonprofit directors in town. She does not advocate for women, she is in support of bigger businesses, and provides little help to small businesses. She came out in ads against raising minimum wage, saying it would hurt the local economy. The local economy did better, however; other things were at play like the expansion of outdoor recreation. This chamber still has the mindset that oil and gas is EVERYTHING. I feel like we're in 1981 ticking down to Black Friday.

As a small business owner, I cannot give the Chamber of Commerce enough credit for what they do for the community. People make the place, and this place is great!
