I've always loved going to goodwill because I always find something good and cheap every time I go. Now the fitting rooms are permanently closed, you can't try on clothes in the bathroom, and the staff is very rude and defensive when you bring that problem up. If you want to try something on you have to buy it and try it on at home and return it if it doesn't fit. There is a 7 day return policy and you only get store credit when you return items. Such a ripoff. I don't have the time and neither do I want to try everything on at home and drive all the way back to goodwill to return items, only to get store credit back and not the cash that I originally spent. I used to go here often because it's affordable and has a good collection, but I will never be buying clothing here again because of the ridiculous policies.

No dressing rooms? I found 6 pairs of jeans to try on...no where to do it. They won't allow you to use the bathrooms either. Out of 6 pairs it would be lucky if 1 fit. I'm not going to go through the "return for store credit"game. Bad call, Goodwill.

As far as thrift stores go, Goodwill has my favorite knickknacks. They do have a great selection of men's clothing, but you have to know your size. They do not have fitting rooms, and only allow store credit on returns. A competitor, ARC, is a much, much better place to go clothes shopping, if for no other reason than they have twice the selection and actual fitting rooms. Goodwill staff is also very rude about not having fitting rooms. I imagine a lot of people complain about it, but management doesn't do anything to make life easier for their employees. Overall, maybe just pick a different thrift store.

Rude cashier manager. Prices through the roof! No where to try on clothes because of druggies leaving paraphilia in the rooms!!

Fitting rooms are permanently closed. They give you 14 days to return clothing if it doesn't fit. But they don't provide a refund, only store credit—a complete rip-off. They give every excuse in the book for this policy, but if other stores can figure out a better solution, they can too. After spending my store credit, I will not buy or donate anything else.

It is stupid to not be able to use the dressing rooms. Therefore the store is missing out on many items being sold. Loss of money BAD practice. Oh don't give me the COVID safety s---!!!

You have motion sensor air fresheners that spray down on your head that are going to give someone an asthma attack and then you are going to get sued. Please remove these! It's horrible, I will not go back.

This place is a joke. The fitting rooms are now permanently closed. I will not go back anymore. So, good luck with that.

We live in Montrose CO, and are about an hour from the Grand Junction Goodwill store. The GJ location was always our go-to for clothes shopping because of the unique funds you could discover and we would often drive an hour for a day of shopping, stopping at The Goodwill first. I was saddened to find out that the store has permanently closed its changing rooms. Considering that the store policy is to ONLY offer store credit for returns rather than give refunds, and that we live an hour away; returning to the store to collect and /or use the store credit is not convenient. Since we can no longer use the dressing room to see if clothes will fit prior to purchase, we will sadly have to stop shopping at the Grand Junction location. It is this dressing room decision that has caused our dissatisfaction and the one star rating. I would not recommend shopping here unless you live close enough to stop in frequently to return clothing that didn't fit and utilize the store credit. It truly is unfortunate since this was our favorite part of our shopping excursions.

I love checking out goodwill. Go there at least two to three times a week. Never had any problems with them. But today I found out some shocking news. So every goodwiller knows about their color tag discount of the day. Today color was purple ( 100% positive) and the other one was tan I think. Anyways I spent $137.52. 31 items. When I got home I took a look at my receipt which I normally don't do but to day I did. All 31 items was charged at the original price. WHAT!!!! I had at least 10 items that have purple tag on them. So what the fudge. Then I found a receipt from a few days ago and that too nothing was discounted. I know I had to have had a item that was of the color of the day. That old receipt is a long shot but today receipt clearly shows not one of the items were discounted. I called the store and left a message with the GM. Tomorrow I'm gonna go back with the purple tag items still on the merchandise with my receipt and find out what's going on.

It's a rarity to visit Goodwill without leaving a little richer. Of course there are the many wares to choose from, oddities to decipher, and one of a kind ( if not always kind on the eyes) arts and crafts that some will love, but most others usually hate. However there's another product available, that is free, while also remaining priceless at the same time. Nostalgic memories, harkening each of us to a time more innocent, and where I personally have had some of my greatest memories and dates with my girl.

Just so all the law abiding, 2nd amendment supporting citizens know, Goodwill now has policies in place that will make it easier for non law abiding citizens to commits acts of violence. They now have a no gun policy. Because of this, I will no longer be supporting this store!

So you cant try clothes on before buying them unless it's 3 hours before close .... the employees allow families to stay in the changing rooms well past 6pm. Employee stated that I was allowed to try clothes on outside the changing room. Not sure how nudity is viewed by goodwill but that's what their employees were suggesting. Sure, I could understand closing 30 minutes before close but it's 3 hours before close.

Items consistently way ABOVE retail value! Example today at 1140, a pair of child's black shorts, still had walmart tag for $3.50, was marked $5.99 on the good will tag. Manager Jerald was notified states they assess their own value for items and demands I pay the $5.99. I walked out will buy new for cheaper!
