Waited two weeks for an appointment with Acme Chop Shop for carburetor work on a 1954 Chevrolet Bread van. I actually made my appointment with the owner, Jack. We spoke about the problems I was experiencing and of my expectations for repairs. On the day of my appointment, I rolled in to Acme at noon, two hours after my appointment time of 10:00 am, I had had carb trouble with my '54 Chevy. Jack suddenly forgot our conversation and said he thought my vehicle was a panel van, much smaller, and since I was late, he couldn't get me into his shop at that time. We had spoken specifically about the size of the bread van. It's his problem for forgetting what my vehicle was and not preparing for it, not mine. I had waited two weeks for him, he couldn't wait two hours for me? He became emotional and upset and wouldn't accommodate me. When I chose to leave without making a new appointment, he came back to my vehicle to attempt to reschedule. I told him I'm not interested in doing business with him, he's not someone I can trust.Jack is unprofessional, emotional, and produces erratic results. He is not a person I trust. Isn't that what you're looking for when you hand the keys of your classic vehicle to a mechanic? I don't trust Jack. His performance in our one minute interaction is enough for me.Update after Jack's reply.Jack, your memory and lack of professionalism are letting you down now, as they did earlier, and now you're adding liar. At least you're consistent.What we spoke of was this: I needed carb and throttle linkage work in order to make the van more drivable. We took a great deal of time talking about future projects on the van. Changing the diff gears from 5.17 to 4.11 in order to utilize 1st gear and get 65 on the freeway. We spoke of lifting the van and adding Dana 60s and a NP205 transfer case and making her four wheel drive. I told you to Google "1954 Chevy Bread Van" so you could get an idea of what it was. We spoke of it's ladder frame, being a dually, drop axle in front, spring under with torsion bar shock absorbers. We spoke at great length about my 1954 CHEVROLET BREAD VAN, liar. I even visited your shop the next day to get a feel for where my van would be. I spent an hour there, speaking with one of your employees about my van, it's size, what it was used for, what it was going to be forme etc. There's no way I didn't do everything I could to accommodate you, you did nothing to accommodate me, the customer, the person who pays you, the person who leaves good reviews. Or not.

Jack and his staff are the best in their line of work. I wouldn't take my vehicles to anyone else to have repaired or restored. My 29 Model A Ford is a fine example of Jacks work!! Quality is always at the top of Jacks list. Any final product that leaves Acme Chop Shop has been inspected and reviewed by Jack himself ! Anyone not satisfied with Jacks work, usually is someone that want's something for nothing. Acme Chop Shop is the very best !!!Services: Brakes
