“It's a smaller shop so variety is a bit low but the prices are good. So, unless you're looking for some super rare special release, Fred's is a great place for your boozy needs.”

“Definitely try and get here when it opens! We watched from the top floor as it got more crowded and would have been a bit of a turn off for us if we arrived after lunch. Arriving as it opened allowed us to get IDed and receive our drinking/dining card right away. The card is linked to your credit card and you tap it for your food, self-pours, and merch and then drop it off on your way out. EASY! We had amazing chicken sandwiches with an Asian flare, sours/beers, and spicy margaritas. Everything was so good! As time went on, the downstairs outdoor area was packed with dogs, strollers, and kids coming in from soccer games. It looked loud and chaotic though everyone down there looked to be enjoying themselves. Upstairs was busy enough, but a bit more quiet. The view was of Clear Creek, a local park, and North and South Table Mountain. Would definitely return.”
“This is my local liquor store. The owner and his son are very helpful and welcoming. They have a wide selection, they’re well organized, great pricing, and excellent customer service. So, whether you are going home to relax or headed to or from the mountains, this is your place. Highly recommend! 5 STARS!”
“Located at nice and clean place , the price of everything is really nice than other store around that area, great selection of rare wines, whiskey and the working staff are really friendly and energetic, big and easy parking space .... “New in town? You couldn't have missed this prime location to get loaded...up on your liquor needs to go get loaded somewhere safe and legal!!!! Lol. I go here for all My WONDERFUL GIRLFRIENDS needs....I don't drink it, it's like kryptonite to me!!! MAYBE ONE. Regardless, I get it here. So shall you!!!! Remember to not litter your cans and bottles in Golden and if you can, pick up someone else's disregard and throw it away, please. Golden is big on good karma. Namaste.”

“This store is such an amazing mom and pop family owned liquor store. The service is amazing and they are always so kind to their regulars. Laura always makes my day better. “For a smaller liquor store it has a great selection. It's on my way home from work so I stop regularly. They have offered to get me handles of my favorite whiskey, Woodford reserve because I had asked if it was possible. Great customer service every time and a friendly conversation.”

“I love the main guy that runs this place.... He's always working it seems, but even when he's not, whoever is working is his place, they are always kind and helpful. I love doing business with people that deserve patrons, and I'm happy to recommend his store to others. He does shut down a bit earlier than some stores, but he usually stays open until at least 10:00.
Go in there and wrap with them about the Beatles; you'll see how friendly and personable he is!”
“This liquor store has been serving Golden for decades but the revamp has elevated it into one of the most special liquor stores in the state. You can still get the freshest Coors sold anywhere here but also some of the most rare and sought after bottles out of Mexico. This store rocks”

“This is my favorite liquor store. The staff is all very helpful, knowledgeable, personal able and professional which is really rare. Also they carry a lot of different types of beer. And always hook me up when Knotted Root comes in so I can get some of my favorites before they're sold out!”

“I've been shopping here for about 5 years. The shop is small but has a good selection of reds, whites, and hard liquors. The owner is friendly and helpful. I was impressed by the safety measures the owner put in place during Covid (sanitized pens, he wore n95 and had mask-required sign, and had plenty of hand sanitizer for the customers). The location is perfect as it's next to Safeway amongst other business.”
