My husband & I had a great time learning how to fly fish with Frank. He was a great teacher & we learned so much!! The river was beautiful we caught some fish and even got to see a bald eagle! We booked the 8 hour trip and it was 10/10. We had a great experience!! Highly recommend Frank. Also want to thank the Tryston for getting us a fishing trip booked last minute!! We appreciate you!

Our out-of-state visitors wanted to spend a day fishing. Neither had fly fished before, but they rented some equipment and got some great advice on where they should go. Excellent, friendly service and I definitely recommend Golden Fly Shop. Oh, and last night's dinner was the trout they caught !!!

Can’t say enough about the excellent in store service as Golden Fly Shop, as well as, guide service. Dale took my son and I out for our first time fly fishing this morning and we had a complete blast. Explained everything so clearly and got us on some fish. By the end of the trip, we are not complete rookies any more and have enough experience to know what to next time. Thanks again to Dale and GFS for making this a trip to remember!

I am from out of state. I had 1 day to fish and wanted to make the most of it. Stopped by the shop and was greeted by Michael. We discussed several spots and I chose to fish for Cuthroat and Brookies on Clear Creek. Best fly fishing day in Colorado ever landing 30-40 fish using flies sold by Michael and at the location recommended by him. I can’t thank him enough. Will be booking guided trip through this shop when I return next year.

This place is amazing. I went in not knowing anything but wanting to make a gift basket for a friend. Christian was SO helpful and kind. He helped me choose things that were perfect for my friend and was kind and enthusiastic, not pushy at all.
I’m no fisherman, but this place definitely has ALL your fishing needs! Check it out!

They were very accommodating for my short notice booking. I had never fly fished before, but my guide Sean was incredible! Not only did he teach me the techniques I needed, he also gave me lots of instruction above what I was expecting! It was a beautiful day on the river and I was incredibly happy with the instruction and service he provided for this complete beginner. He even took some great photos for me to share with my friends! I’d highly recommend booking with Golden Fly Shop and I certainly will again!

Had a great trip with Sean! He and Xavier were super helpful and accommodating for a last-minute guide trip. Sean taught me and my brother lots about winter fishing for picky tailwater fish. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great day on the water!
