They kept me posted on his condition, consoled me when things looked VERY dark, and treated my horse like one of their own. I have been a client of RFEMC since day one! I’ve got a small boutique hj training business. I was born and raised in this wonderful valley and have had horses here my entire life, and without a doubt, I wouldn’t trust any other clinic in this valley with my horses except this incredible team! Everyone is professional yet so personally invested when it comes to each equines care/case needs and the vets do whatever they can for the best outcome & they listen to the needs of the owners too!
The staff is so incredibly knowledgable with 2 board certified surgeons, an internist, general practitioners, & the best support staff/vet techs. The most valuable thing to me is that this clinic truly cares about its patients! My vets have had relationships with every single horse I have had the pleasure of owning (which has been a lot of them?) over the past 8 years & as well as customer owned equines, and I am so happy to know how invested they are in the well being of our animals. From routine care, metabolic concerns, surgeries, disease, farm calls, in house work ups, to emergencies, they’ve got you covered! For not having a surgical center in the valley for so many years prior to RFEMC opening (long time locals will understand that!) , I am so grateful and thankful that RFEMC is here and that we have access to a high class surgical center in this valley !!

Roaring Fork is an excellent hospital. I've taken two of my horses there. One had surgery, ans another just had an extensive ultrasound done of his right leg. They are kind, thorough, understanding, informative, and they take such grest care of your horse. Highly recommend.

I feel so grateful to live in a valley with such high quality veterinarians. From routine immunizations and dental care, to joint injections, colic cases, and lameness exams; the veterinarians at RFEMC have always been extremely knowledgeable, skilled, compassionate, and they demonstrate great integrity. I always appreciate how they talk through options, are very open and honest, and have the best in mind for our four legged friends ? Thank you to everyone at RFEMC!

We hauled our horse in at midnight. When we arrived, the staff was waiting, ready to help him. They didn't waist anytime and started treating him immediately. We have no doubt they saved our horse.

As a referring veterinarian from a primary equine practice in Steamboat Springs, I could not be more happy and grateful to have all the expert and compassionate vets at RFEMC as our resource and referral center. Without fail, my clients are full of praise for the communication, dedication and care their horses receive there. Drs Lamb, Everett and Bevevino are also so supportive of our practice, offering help and advice for cases that cannot be referred and great follow-up and support for cases discharged back to our care. The Western Slope of Colorado is lucky to have them!

My experience with Dr. Lamb was consistently exceptional - she worked with me over a period of several years on a horse with complex soundness issues and was able to find solutions to allow him to have a shot as a sport horse. 7-8 Years later, I am still using the insight and guidance she gave me to promote his soundness and he is still sound, working, and showing. Thank you Dr for your hard work and dedication to my horse, it is still paying off. ??

RFEMC is by far the best equine veterinary practice I have ever had work with my horses. They are caring, professional, unbelievably knowledgeable, and go above and beyond in their patient care for our beloved animals. The entire team has my gratitude for everything they have done for me and my horses 100/10 recommend!!

I just want to say how much I have missed Dr. Megan Lamb since she left San Antonio. She is an amazing vet and always took the best care of my horses. Colorado is so lucky to have such a caring, honest, and knowledgeable vet helping them now!

I had a horse with a blockage and it was freed in a mobile visit. Although I mentioned he was pry dehydrated, I was assured he was not.Sure enough next day he keeps showing symptoms so he is rushed to their facility.He spent one night getting fluids and then I had to drive three hours to rent a trailer because they have no way of returning him.I picked him up the next day to an almost 5,000 dollar bill.Despite making payments every month, they continue to harass and threaten.I definitely will not be using them and don’t recommend ANY person works for their money do either!Horrible experience.

As a client since their doors first opened, RFEMC have taken care of my horses through everything from routine care, emergencies, hospital stays and even euthanasia. We are SO lucky to have big city equine medical care in our little valley. As a side note, they are lovely humans too.
