repaired the windshield fine but scratched my perfect dash and didn’t put my cowl cover back on right. missing fasteners and water gets in. should be tight to the windshield. wouldn’t bring it in if you actually care about and value your car.

I went into Nelson’s this morning to drop off my vehicle for a new windshield replacement. The appointment, which was made in person a couple days earlier, was for 10 AM today. I showed up 10 minutes early and went into the office. The gentleman sitting at the first desk, looked up at me and said nothing. So, I said, “I’m here to drop off my vehicle for a windshield replacement”. He then just raised his arms up in the air and gave me this “questioning” look and said nothing else. So, I then said, “It’s for State Farm”. He then just stated loudly, with his arms still raised, “State Farm??????” I then told him my name and all he did was look at me as if I was from outer space! At this point, out of frustration, I raised my arms and said, I guess you have no idea who I am, or why I’m here”. Maybe I was supposed to have a full script prepared for Mr. Dave Smith before I entered the door. I don’t know??? Maybe Dave was just having a bad day. I really had no choice, so I had to leave the vehicle there. My partner, who had originally made the appt. went back in and left the keys. She asked what the “confusion” was. Dave told her that I just walked in the door, raised my arms and left. REALLY, why would I do that. Not quite the truth! Needless to say, I will NOT visit Nelson’s again and I would caution others to do the same.

I have never been disappointed in the work done on my vehicles and have been using Nelson’s for about 24 years I used to drive past Carbondale where Al had a shop at his home now he has passed the torch to Scott and the great work continues I happen to have a car there right now waiting for repair. Great service Great Work and friendly staff

I got a small windshield chip repaired. They were flexible about the timing for when to come in, got it done in 20 minutes, and charged only half what the other local quotes were. From the notecards and awards displayed in the office, it was clear they've been around a long time and must be generally doing quality work.

Yesterday I met two angels at Nelson Auto Body, Dave and I apologize that I didn’t get the other man’s name. I arrived in tears. I parked at a local restaurant and did not notice that the parking block had an exposed piece of rebar. When I backed out, the horrible crunching sound of my front bumper being ripped from the car made me sick to my stomach. They dropped what they were doing on a Friday afternoon to help me. They put it all back together in an hour, not even knowing that I needed to drive to Denver for surgery. And unbelievably, there was NO CHARGE! Nelson Auto Body has always delivered excellent work and is an incredibly professional team! THANK YOU!
