I am new to the valley and after many “day passes” at gyms up and down the valley- I found the best place to workout in the RFV.
Location- Well selected spot for a Gym. Easily accessible with adequate parking.
Equipment- During my search for a gym in the valley I visited 4 gyms. I come from “Mecca of the South” gym in Tennessee that has more equipment than a man could ever use. Jean-Robert’s was the closest in number of equipment. There are plenty of options for all styles of training.
Price- At $95/mo for the Glenwood and Wilits location, that might seem steep to some. Competitive gyms have “one time membership fees” and only offer a discount of $20-30 to that of Jean-Robert’s. For $95/mo with the fully loaded equipment selection- it’s a no brainer.
People- I have had the pleasure of meeting Jean and Bernadette. They were both very friendly as well as helpful. All of the gym staff I have interacted with have been cool.
Overall- If you are looking to train somewhere in the valley, there is really only one option.

Yesterday afternoon I saw the owner (lady) yelling hysterically at an elderly woman right outside the business. The elderly lady looked like she had just finished cleaning the business nearby maybe the business upstairs (seen her a few times cleaning the dentist place). If this is how she treats people wow I would not get a membership here! Have some respect you maniac lady and be respectful, way to treat elderly people in our community. Maybe invest in some anger management classes.

Worst gym in the Roaring Fork Valley.TLDR: They require a 6-month minimum membership and charge you for another month when you want to cancel.I spoke to a worker and tried to cancel my membership. She told me I needed to cancel online on their website because it was the only way. It is a tiny link at the bottom of their website that took 30mins to find. I didn’t get any correspondence for a few days to a week. This was on 1/28/24. I had already paid for the month of January and my last month when I joined the gym. I wanted to cancel my membership because I was not going to be there in February.I spoke to the owner and she was incredibly rude before I even asked any questions about billing. She then proceeded to tell me that I needed to advise her 2 months before cancelling to not get charged. I had already tried to cancel on 1/28/24. I was charged for the month of February on 1/30/2024 and I had already paid the last month which means I paid through March.Highly don’t recommend you use this gym and if you do please be cautious of their charges.

The gym is nice and services an area in DIRE need of a nice gym. Has everything you can want to get a good workout. My only gripe is that I could not pause my membership for a month or two during my recovery from an accident involving a broken back and snapped femur. They told me I signed a contract... seemed petty and money hungry to not understand circumstances. Oh well, it didn't bother me much until I realized had this been any other gym, I'm sure it would've been little to no problem. Also*locking the doors when there is a front desk person on staff staring at you, 2 feet from the door waiting for you to badge in AGAIN is also a little silly. Just leave the front doors open lolI mostly live in Denver and am an avid gym user. This gym satisfies me overall- but could recommend a few things for greatness ( for one, who’s idea was it put cokes in the fridge? ) I feel any pre-workout, protein option would sell easily and sets the tone

This gym is bigger and has wey more equipment than the one in wilits but still a lot of things are missing.Machines are modern and they look really nice but 95$ a month for one gym it’s ridiculous and the worst is that you can’t even go to the other ones. You need to pay 180$ a month to be able to go to the other ones…Really crazy for what they offer and not worth it.

I submitted my cancellation request within 30 days of wanting to cancel as required and I'm still being charged. I've called and emailed and have not had the issue resolved. I don't recommend signing up for this gym because of their shady practices. I haven't used the gym in 3 months and I'm still being charged

I paid my six months and have the email reply from the gym confirming my request to cancel my membership but they refuse to cancel. Even their staff think they are rude people!

What a disappointment for a supposedly good gym! I have spoken with a few people to cancel my membership but Jean Roberts gym refuses to cancel and instead keeps charging me for a service that I have already met the six month requirement for. If a supposedly legit company is scamming people at this level, what else is going on? On top of that the woman in charge in Aspen is very racist!

Best gym I've ever worked out in. Views of Ajax and town. Every type of piece of equipment you can imagine. Never crowded. Even if you aren't a gym person it's worth checking out

BEWARE - I went to this gym once on vacation this past August. I wanted to pay for a $50 day pass, but was overcharged by $400. I have only been refunded $300 of that amount after many attempts to get my money back. I only visited this gym one time...and so far it cost be $150 out of pocket.

Was yelled/swore at by a one Edgar Orellana who works the front desk there apparently (from what the receptionist told me this is a regular thing with Edgar). Was taking a kettlebell upstairs when this short king started screaming at me about putting the kettlebell back downstairs and that I had left it out last time (my first time going to this gym), and F this and F that. Anyway no one from management seemed to care and it looks like he'll be there for a while given that this just apparently happens with him because he "thinks he owns the gym" as the receptionist explained. WT actually F. Toxic gym atmosphere 101. You should be ashamed of yourself Jean-Roberts, letting employees like this run your gym. IG profile pic below and of course It's private. Straight coward in every sense of the word, called the gym multiple times to try and report this guy and he picks up the phone every time.. doing different voices, saying he'll get it to management and he'll be dealt with. That's what you get with Jean Roberts
