10:30AM - 5:30PM
1416 S Broadway, Denver“What a wonderful little shop. John was exceptionally helpful. I had a very hard time not buying everything in sight but I made it out with the one book I was looking for. The prices seem quite reasonable even though the selection included very hard to find editions. I emailed asking about the book I was looking for and received a response letting me know that indeed they hadot and a copy was waiting for me when I walked in.”
“MATTER is an incredible bookstore with design, social conscious, and urban studies books that are often hard to find, pulling from a wide range of publishers like Verso, Phaidon, MIT Press. Beyond the incredible curating, print making, and great customer service, you get the sense that MATTER is a true shop front: if you have a chance to strike up a conversation, then you find the uniqueness in the connection MATTER has to global publishing, activism, and authorship. Denver is a better and more enriched cultural city for having MATTER!”
“NOT fast food, and that’s why I love it! The food is always fresh. The service is always royal. The atmosphere is always sophisticated. One of my favorite Black businesses in Denver.”
“It is well organized and pleasant to be in. They also have a nice children’s area. My only complaint is that prices are consistently high compared to other retailers.”

8710 E Colfax Ave, Denver“Awesome family oriented business. I picked up a doll that teaches prayers for my niece, anointed oil, a couple of bow ties (nice selection) and a few stones with positive words. I would definitely return and prices are reasonable. It’s a Christian book store but there is everything from clothes to home decor and fragrances.”
“Great little book store. The shop keeper is so knowledgeable and friendly. Note the hours. They have genres sectioned off in small little nooks for you to sit and check out all the options they have in the store. We gave them a try looking for some kid chapter books and they have plenty of options.”
“The Hermitage is by far the best store of its kind in Denver or in Colorado and a treasure for anyone who values books & literature. Whether one's looking for a particular book ( they'll search for you) or simply wanting to browse their excellent selection, I don't know a better place to spend part of an afternoon. The staff is knowledgeable & very friendly. Highly recommended.”
“This is such a special place! Be warned you might end up spending hours here looking through all their books! It’s such a cool concept! They sell hardbacks for $3 and paperbacks for $2. The new books at the front are priced individually though. They take donations and have membership options too! I left with a stack of books, and honestly can’t wait to come back!Did I mention it’s the oldest 2nd hand bookstore in Denver!”
“My new favorite bookstore!!! They give educator discounts and have a wide selection of books- I went in looking for Lunar New year and was impressed with the selection. Super cute with cozy nooks, warm and inviting. Will be back!”
“Prepare to be overwhelmed! Books upon books upon books. The greatest collection of military history books I've ever seen in my wide travels and bookstore wanderings. Very well worth the visit and don't forget to shop online as well. Simply fantastic!”

913 Corona St, Denver“Great experience, wonderful employees, excellent customer service and awesome selection of essential oils, etc. Found everything I needed. Especially Iiked the availability of testers for the essential oils. Very good atmosphere. Will definitely return to purchase more.”
9AM - 9PM
8374 Willow St, Lone Tree“One of the BEST B&N experiences ever! They were prepping for a midnight release event, but they had so many beautiful and diverse displays set up with special editions, exclusive prints, handwritten recommendations on the shelves, multiple genres elevated, "if you like..." tables (TABLES!!!) set up...I've never felt more included in a bookstore ever in my life. From dark romance to horror and sci fi and sapphic fiction and epic fantasy and box sets and sprayed edge editions and music to match the vibes. I spent too many dollars and too many minutes this visit, and I still can't convince myself to regret spending a single one of them here that day”
“The Tattered Cover Bookstore and Cafe (Colfax loxation). Great place to grab a coffee, light snack and books. A local Barnes & Nobel with a more hometown feel. Stay and relax. When you're done go to the old school record shop 5 steps away that shares a pedestrian sidewalk.”
“I’ve been going here for years. I’ve gotten great readings from Alicia and even after I moved to another state, I still order or have my mom go here for me. These ladies are very nice especially Lais, she is knowledgeable and helpful and always goes above and beyond for costumer service and that’s why I still go with them even while I’m in a different state. I love it here.”
“The most chill Pleasures I have been to small and quaint and very relaxing day shift has excellent customer service she is always friendly and kind not to mention extremely easy on the eyes? ? ?”

624 E 13th Ave, Denver“This place was awesome. It’s a gem of a hole in the wall bookstore with a cozy vibe and honestly fire selection of books. Really had a super great time exploring here. It’s also right next to a record store so this whole corner is great to explore and shop.”
9:30AM - 7PM
3434 W 32nd Ave, Denver“Has a respectable quantity of books across many genres for the size of shop--they're putting *every* square foot to use here. (That said, the space seems it could be a challenge for wheeled patrons, unfortunately.) The area is walkable and there is a nice patio outside but if you're driving into the area, parking might be an issue at times. Didn't find what I was looking for but wouldn't hesitate to go back.”
“We heard about this place from our friend because our son loves books. We spent about an hour here and it's amazing! So many great books in really good condition for super cheap. The women volunteering were so nice too. We will be back+”
10AM - 6PM
2553 S Colorado Blvd #104, Denver“Awesome guys in there. Perfect vibe and energy. Your ideal stones will literally jump out at you if youre digging thru one of the bowls. Very inexpensive and walked out of there with 3 stones and string for my pendulum for no more than around 5 bucks. Amazing place!”

I ended up buying a simple one. She was able to offer some very nice and welcomed advice and I left feeling very positive. This is an amazing place.”
“It's disappointing that bookstores aren't thriving like they once did. At least we have a dependable establishment eager to help keep the tradition alive. Thanks for your good work.”

“Tattered cover was a delight to visit! When I was in HS, I competed in a slam poetry contest that awarded me $500 to this beautiful bookstore. For years, we passed by it and laughed about how $500 in books would be an insanely glorious date. As I visited home, my grandma and I decided to go! And baby, did we go! (We actually... went $100 over...) With the help of the wonderful staff, we were able to quickly locate the books on our wishlist, laugh, and talk literature, which is a dying, cherished hobby. If the book wasn't in person, someone from the staff quickly added it to our online cart. If we needed book recommendations, they were offered, like they were waiting for someone to ask! We were in and out leaving feeling so excited to dive into our new purchases! I am very grateful for the staff at Tattered! Thank you all for the refreshing reminder getting lost in a book is one of my favorite things to do.”
“Amazing selection of books, collectibles and stationery! The manga section was really good, too. Found many nice Spanish editions of children's books . It also connects to a Gamestop store so win-win!?”
