It is a little pricey but they have stuff that you won't find elsewhere. Much of it is decorating just as their name says, a rugged mountain decor that is comfy to sit on and to look at. There are no Victorian or little blue French wing chairs here. The quality is high and they do have fun Knick knacks that you won't find elsewhere. My favorite is a taxidermist stuffed squirrel on skis. They can also help with Hunter Douglas window treatment, which is what we came in for and they were very helpful with that. So if you have a mountain home you are looking to outfit, at a minimum you should stop and check it out.

Walking into this store is sensory overload. Everything is beautiful. Everything. Britta was our girl. She was knowledgeable, helpful, attentive and so sweet. We picked our couch and set up delivery to Alma. The next day we went back and bought the faux fur chair by the register. Delivery was a breeze with Paul. He was funny, charming and so good at his job. Thank you so much! We WILL be back.

Not fit for its intended use - careful when purchasing furniture from MCF. The dining table they sold us stains extensively. We purchased a variety of stuff (at a premium) figuring we'd support the local retailer. The dining table stains extensively - red wine, salad dressing, etc. Water does not bead - careful there. Upon complaining to MCF, the response was "use coasters", "we have other tables with a resistant finish at 2X the price". You are on your own if you want to brush on some poly. I will now replace this MCF junk with something online and toss this one in the dumpster.

We love shopping at this furniture store! We visited every store in the area and felt the most comfortable here. The staff is incredibly helpful and communicate every step of the way. We were in the best hands. Highly recommend Mountain Comfort! Horrible place with false advertising. They had a radio commercial saying they had a heavily discounted sale, and some free furniture for people in need. I need a dresser and things for my 2 year old. I drove an hour in the snow in my truck and they were trying to sell me dressers and tv stands in the thousands!! Total false advertisement. I saw other people walk out unhappy as well.I wasted my time and $70 in gas

We have been to this store on multiple occasions to purchase items. We ordered a chair there on May 8th. We were told then that the chair was currently in stock in their supplier’s warehouse and that it would arrive in 4-6 weeks max since it was in stock. After more than 6 weeks and hearing nothing, we called on a Thursday to inquire and were told our salesperson would call us back. The following Monday, nobody had returned our call so we again followed-up and we were told by the employee who answered the phone that they (Mountain Comfort Furnishings and Design) had finally sold enough to actually place the order with their supplier. We were NEVER told that for our product to be shipped, the business would have to sell a certain amount of $$ with their supplier. We were then told that it would be here by the 3rd week of July. We asked about cancelling and getting the money back that we had paid down already on it and were told no one was there to make that decision and we were sent to the owner’s voicemail which we left a message for them to call us back on July 5th when they returned to the office after the holiday weekend. That was at the end of June. NOBODY called us back, so we waited until this new arrival date had passed before calling. This past Saturday, July 23rd, we called and talked to a salesperson and asked about an updated arrival date since the previous person told us it would be here. They were not able to provide us with updates, so we again asked to speak with a manager/owner. We were told they don’t work weekends so we asked that the owners (or decision makers) call us by 5pm today (7/25) and we were assured they would. As of the time of this posting – we still have not heard from the owners, the 3rd week of July has passed and we have no chair, no estimated arrival date and no one we have been able to speak with can give us any further information.We now see several reviews here that have had similar issues with Mountain Comfort’s lack of customer service and follow-up. They try to defend the review and ask the reviewer to call and ask for management so the issue can be resolved. We have tried that, and it doesn’t work, so don’t waste your time.We have since began purchasing at a local competitor that has amazing customer service and we will not purchase anything else from Mountain Comfort Furnishing and Designs anymore! PERIOD!!! IF YOU SHOP HERE, DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK unless you like horrible customer service.

We recently bought a new home in Summit County and visited Mountain Comfort and IFurnish. Every time we went to Mountain Comfort the staff was aloof and sat at their desks instead of asking if they could help.We bought almost all our furniture from IFurnish who delivered it and hung artwork, mirrors etc. We still need a few more pieces and went Mountain Comfort again today.We were interested in a mirror and a picture that had been 25% off last time we shopped. As of yesterday, the sale was 10% if you spent under $1000 and they will deliver but not hang the decorations. The reason is they don’t want to be responsible.I guess we will not become a customer.

Broken statue and broken customer serviceLet me start by saying that my wife used to love this store and I often purchased different pieces of furniture and spend over several thousands of dollars in the last year. However, we noticed recently that customer service and attitude towards the customers seem to be deteriorating. Last month we were in the store looking for a large chandelier for our new home. When I asked a women who appeared to be a store manager if she can check the length of power cable and chain for me, she answered “you can check by yourself!” I was surprised with such a blunt response and apparent lack of interest to assist the customer but I thought that that was perhaps just a bad day. Well, we came back last week to look for decorative statues for our bedroom and had much worse experience. My wife and I waked into the store without being noticed or greeted. The same person was busy with some new furniture deliveries which may have explained her lack of attention. My wife noticed an interesting small statue on the shelf that was not marked with a price tag so she taught that may be a tag was under the statue. She picked it up and accidently dropped the statue that broke into two pieces. We put the statue back on the shelf and manager came up yelling at us and being very rude without trying to understand what happened. My wife had no choice but to offer to buy broken piece without even knowing the price. We ended up paying over $100 for a broken statue but decided not to spend $ 1,500.00 for another piece we liked better.In sum, we will not return to this store as I do not intent to promote business that fails to work with customers.
