As a former employee of the Frederick Post Office, I feel compelled to shed light on the concerning behavior exhibited by a certain grey-haired lady towards both customers and fellow staff members. It's crucial that these issues are acknowledged and addressed to foster a healthier and more respectful workplace environment.
First and foremost, I must emphasize that the behavior of this individual does not reflect the values or standards upheld by the majority of employees at the Frederick Post Office. Most of us strive to provide excellent service and treat both customers and colleagues with professionalism and respect.
However, the actions of this particular staff member have undoubtedly caused distress and frustration among both customers and fellow employees. Her rude demeanor, dismissive attitude, and lack of empathy have created a toxic atmosphere that undermines the integrity of the postal service.
It's important to recognize that this issue not only impacts customer satisfaction but also the morale and well-being of employees. No one should have to endure verbal abuse or hostility in the workplace, regardless of their position or tenure.
As a former employee, I urge the management of the Frederick Post Office to take decisive action to address these issues. This may involve implementing training programs to promote customer service excellence and conflict resolution skills among staff members. Additionally, it may be necessary to conduct a thorough investigation into the behavior of the grey-haired lady and take appropriate disciplinary measures if warranted.
Furthermore, fostering open communication channels and providing avenues for employees to voice their concerns without fear of retaliation is essential in creating a supportive work environment.
Ultimately, addressing these issues is not only beneficial for the well-being of employees but also crucial for maintaining the reputation and credibility of the Frederick Post Office as a trusted service provider in the community.
It is my hope that by acknowledging and addressing these concerns, the Frederick Post Office can work towards creating a workplace culture built on respect, professionalism, and excellence in customer service.

It’s a shame because your experience depends on who you get behind the counter and what mood they are in. The gentleman that works there is nice and sometimes the lady who I assume is the manager is pleasant. The newer lady with dark hair is exceptionally rude and grumpy.I was speaking to the manager about scheduling a time for spring break for my daughter’s passport appointment. The clerk that helped me (who had to be told to do so) was so busy being rude and irritated that I was there, she wasn’t truly listening to the conversation. When I asked if it was possible to change the date to coincide with the dates mentioned in my conversation with the manager; she raised her eyes, tutted, sighed and shouted to the manager to help me. I felt so uncomfortable, I did not want their help after that. Also, bearing in mind they had already both been snippy with me twice but were very personable with the man who was at the counter next to me, I just wanted to leave. When I have experiences like this, I try to find reasons why. I don’t believe these people have any real customer service training, which is sad, or perhaps they just don’t like younger women. Looking at a previous review, I would hope my race wouldn’t be an issue…so I’ll assume it was a bad day and lack of customer service skills but still very, very unprofessional. If you don’t like people, have a good attitude or have the ability/tolerance to help people - perhaps don't work in a role where you have be versed in customer service.

Totally disappointed. The lady that helped me was very mean and you could tell she was very racist and rushed the interaction thought maybe she woke up on the wrong side of the envelope but thats not my problem and she shouldn't be working at a post office. Didn't follow her procedure correctly wich caused me to postpone my trip I will be speaking to my lawyer about this interaction something needs to be done its 2023 going to 2024 and this stuff is sad and old racism is not okay!! Shame on you!

I've only had one experience with this office but it is one that will keep me coming back. Debbie helped me out this past week. She saw a defeated tired mom who got her dates mixed up for an appointment. She took my anyway even though I was a week too early. I am so appreciative of her kindness. She definitely didn't have to help us but she did. Thank you Debbie. Post offices get a bad rap (my local office in erie included). I'll be traveling to this office for all my postal needs now!

Nice group of management and staff. Seem to do the best they can in a growing community with a small post office. Effort matters and they are pleasant and do their best for us.

Just moved to Firestone this week and went in here to get a PO Box opened up and the lady at the counter was SO NICE! She informed me that we could get a free PO Box at the Firestone post office instead of paying $156 with her—because of our zip code. She told me to come back and see her if I needed any help or had any problems. I wish I knew her name! Everyone has been so lovely since moving here, great town, great people!

We just renewed a passport here. The postal worker, Debbie was wonderful! She was helpful, pleasant and kind. We would recommend this location for passport needs (make an appointment online).
