Horrible. Why sell us ice if no one can step out to get it. The cashier said she has to finish the line first. You could have easily declined the purchase of ice. Why must we wait for you to checkout everyone. We were there first before the next person in line. Does the store have walkies you can use to ask help when you have like 10 people in the line... just a thought.

Worst dollar general I've ever been to, and I'm from the South where there is one on every corner. The staff are very unprofessional and look unkept, the shelves are also in constant disarray, and they have limited selection. This place is right beside my house, and I choose to drive to Walmart in North Fountain before coming here.

Only live two blocks from the store. I used to go there all the time. But recently the store quality and customer service has gone waaaay down. They continuously run out of things and never open or close on time. I truly drive by this store everyday on my way to work and used to stop quite often. I now find myself going other places because they don’t open on time.

As a resident of this neighborhood, I was very excited to have a "convenient" store so "conveniently" close by. Folks, I'm sorry to say that this is the INCONVENIENT store. Every other week, for multiple days, they will only accept cash. Their self check-out & tap to pay machine has worked before, but I couldn't tell you in good faith the last time it has been operable. They desperately need a new system.

Dollar General once was a good store,
But all of a sudden there just taking cash only on certain days. You know, not everyone pays with cash, right? Already irritating your constantly running out of everything soo soon.
Also,if your going to do that, don’t be so lazy and just put signs saying “cash only”
Tell people “cash only” so that other customers can take this seriously.
Won’t be suprised to see this place get out of business. If you want to pay with card, just go to family dollar or dollar tree.

When the website says open until 10:00 you should be open until 10::00. Was told no they close at 9:55 even though I was there at that time. Employees at Jimmy Camp store are rude!

Terrible costumer service on multiple occasions with several friends and family members. Most recently my husband was waiting in line with a number of other people and the worker was on her cell phone for several minutes finally a lady said excuse me can we please get some help? The employee snapped at her that she seen her and she needs to learn to be patient; then another customer told her she should do her job and not be on her phone, and she refused service to him. My husband spoke with the manager and she could care less said that’s all the help they have, we will never be back.

They really need to get their stuff together. The card machines continue to not work every other day. They claim they are broken. Get them fixed then or buy new ones. All the other stores don’t have this issue so what is up with this dollar general. Are they that cheap? Not fixing the machines or getting a new one is making you lose more money. Get it together, it’s 2024. Who carries cash all the time? Such an inconvenience. Management sucks and blames the broken machines on the customers all the time. If that was the case then Walmart would have the same issues. Stop making excuses and fix the problem. Corporate obviously doesn’t give a damn.

Employees are nice and knowledgeable about the location of most products within the store. Glad to have something nearby for quick shopping. DO NOT USE TAP TO PAY. YOU WILL GET YELLED AT FOR CRASHING THEIR SYSTEM. I wouldn't know from experience......

THIS IS SPARTA! ...for toilets... PART 1Today I was in the store doing a mystery visit - working. It’s a mobile role and I had my mom in the car, taking her from Denver back home after a visit with my sister. She decided to do some shopping while i did my work. The restrooms have clear signage: please ask associate for key. My mother set down her items and asked the associate for the key. The associate, annoyed, informs her “we don’t have a public restroom” to which my mother simply responded with the sign’s instructions. At this point the same clerk quickly exclaims: “We lost the key”.My mother continued shopping. When she checked out the same clerk chirped “Did you find everything ok?” She replied, “yes, except the restroom key. Can I have your name for when I call the office?” The clerk was not wearing a name tag, usually required by retail stores. The clerk gave her name (Ariana) before proclaiming “I AM the manager. I am also the assistant manager!”I am skeptical Ariana is the manager or the assistant manager and I wonder if her real manager told her to say this if anyone complained - what a coward. This sounds like a failure on the part of leadership. It takes a pretty poor manager to set their employee up like that. She’s just a kid! After my mother left I was still nearby finishing my work. Ariana immediately called a person I assume was the actual manager. She told them “just so you know, you’re gonna get a call about me. This girl came and asked for the key and then she got all mad and said she was calling the office.” She went on to describe my elderly mother as “not elderly” insisting she was “40’s”. My mother is not in her 40's - I am in my 40’s. Well, according to Ariana, I'm in my 20's, but Ariana is a teenager with a limited scope. It’s not fair to ask her to guess the ages of customers. She repeatedly said “elderly is over 70 and in a wheelchair”. As in, someone only deserves to use the restroom if they are visibly impaired or elderly, in her opinion? Oh, she also lets babies use it, I guess. How benevolent.Shame on the store manager who finds this policy acceptable. Shame on the managers who are too craven to admit they’re the managers. Shame on you.Ariana didn’t stop there, though. Feeling vindicated with gatekeeping the coveted commode and having protected her throne of crap, Ariana continued railing on about “that girl who was just in here” to each next customer. She hooted and howled about how “everyone should work retail” and went on to describe how people defile bathrooms - as if this was a new phenomenon. No, honey, it’s only new to you. But, this is part of working retail, if you had any experience at all. You aren’t in downtown Denver, you’re at the remote edge of a far out suburb. Not exactly the center of chaos. I guess you’d need to leave your little town to realize there’s a whole world outside of it. Put on some gloves and clean the bathroom, that is actually one of your jobs as a retail clerk. My mother not only worked retail for longer than Ariana has been alive, she continues to work in retail as a trainer and support engineer (exclusively for retailers so at least twice as long as Ariana has been alive, worldly she may be). My mother was specifically recruited into tech in the 90s because of her decades of experience in all kinds of retail. Specialty coffee, custom framing, department store floor manager, high end clothing store manager, and the list goes on.Yes, she has worked retail, she is the Queen of retail, she gets it - and, the difference? She is actually good at it, which is more than I can say for the self righteous child running that register and her abysmal management team. Ariana went on and on about how “all the regulars know” about the bathroom being closed - as if they are the only patrons welcome, or as if Fountain is a bubble where no outsiders enter. That’s a sure sign of a young person with limited experience in all things.

THIS IS SPARTA!!! ...for toilets... PART 2 (from mom's account because Google has a character limit)After I finished my work, I purchased a drink on the way out. I told the associate it seemed like she took that lady asking for a bathroom key pretty hard. I asked Ariana how old she really thought that lady was? Suddenly, Ariana experienced a rush of self-consciousness, she didn’t want to answer. I asked her what she thinks “elderly” means? And who sets that standard? This child, who had been bloviating so voraciously just minutes before about “that girl” who dared to request the restroom key, was now speechless. She didn't want to regale me in her tale of woe. So, in front of her colleagues, I answered the question: 65. My mother is 65 (b. 1959, turns this September). According to the federal government, she’s elderly. That is who sets that standard.Furthermore, my mother has gastroenterological disease. Millions of Americans are in this category and it encompasses a range of illnesses and ages - from baby to elderly - this is a population who needs to use that restroom and you don’t get to decide if they’re worthy just by looking at them. Surely, a young lady who goes out of her way to pronounce her name with her native dialect can understand you can't judge books by their covers. Right? Diversity exists beyond phenotypical assumptions. I hope Ariana gains something from this experience about her own preconceived notions and I hope the poor guidance from that management team doesn't leave a lasting impression. This was ageist and flat out ableist. I guarantee if that young lady had been in a store with her disabled, elderly mother, and the associate had been so oblivious, she'd have been angry too. It's always different when it's you and yours. No one wants to see their mother treated this way. Shame on you all. Such ugliness when you're convinced no one is watching or listening. Shame on you.
