I used them for the summer of 2024, we left my daughters college items there around May and pick them up in August. The people there is nice and the process was good, unfortunately when I picked up my items, there were mice droppings everywhere, mice chewed up my daughter’s shoes, some clothing and pretty much dirty out the rest of the stuff (it easily costed me $300 in damages). No food was left, just the standard college kid stuff… while I understand that mice is always a possibility, I was not warned of it, if I knew about it, I would it left poison and sticky traps just in case… anyhow, fairly frustrated with my daughter’s items getting damaged, if you store items there beware.

Stay away from this place! Their online rate will be increased repeatedly until you’re paying nearly double the advertised rate. They recently made me move all my stuff from one unit to another unit of the same size to get the online advertised price. Now today only two months after making me move all my stuff to another unit to get the advertised price I get an email stating they are already increasing my rate by $30 a month. Was just informed by their management “ Rent increases occur every three to four months for all tenants.”

I put my stuff in storage so it would be safe for when I move into my home. When I first arrived on Sunday, 05/21, there was a lock on my unit. I found another unit of the same size and secured my belongings in there after attempting to call the local number several times. There are different numbers posted on the office and the local number won’t allow you to leave a message. I came in on Monday but, nobody was in the office. I waited about 30 minutes and a lady arrived and helped me work out the new unit.
I came to grab some of my belongings on 06/01 because I was departing the following day for out-of-state military training. It had rained in Fort Collins that day and my unit had flooded! Anything that touched the floor had taken on water. I called the local number with no answer and no ability to leave a message. I called the Tucson, AZ number and left a message. I received a call back on 06/03 and was told someone local would contact me. It never happened.
My family has been trying to keep my stuff from being ruined everyday since. The drainage behind that entire row of units is allowing water to get into my unit and, I’m assuming, several others. It has been raining all weekend and every day my unit is flooding. The water today was enough to reach above the blocks my belongings had been set on! I don’t know what else to do. They don’t answer their phones and are obviously not concerned about their poor drainage that is ruining their customers’ belongings.

Please take your business and belongings elsewhere.
Update: As of 06/09, management has informed me that “we are unable to provide coverage for belongings inside the unit, which is why we require our customers to carry their own insurance.” I was offered another unit of the same size on the other side of the property that I could move to, of course, at my own expense. I was also offered $200 to remove this negative review. I declined. I think it’s more important that potential customers see my experience and this business’ refusal to take responsibility for the root cause of water damage to my household goods.
Be advised, their contract states that they are basically not responsible for anything. That makes it not worth the time, effort, and money it would take to try and file a lawsuit.
I attempted to make an insurance claim with USAA. This type of water damage is not covered because it was caused by Waterglen Self Storage’s failure to maintain proper drainage and, likely, a building design flaw. I still can try with insurance I purchased through Bader when I signed the storage contract.

So far I’ve had a wonderful experience at this self storage location!! Shane was incredibly helpful and patient when I could not figure out which unit to rent. I had reserved a unit and thought it could be too small but he went over all the different options and was so kind when I was being very indecisive! He said he was filling in while someone was out of town but he was such a great employee!! Cannot thank him enough for his help. Also this location is super clean and looks as if it’s brand new! It’s in a nice area too so probably less of a chance for theft. It’s seems pretty secure with the gate you use a code for. Have no complaints at all about Waterglen thus far!

My friend and I rented and split a storage unit for the summer while we’re away at college. Three different times we’ve come here needing assistance and nobody has been at the desk or answering the phones for at least an hour. A similar thing happened to a friend who’s also renting here over the summer. Only nice part about these storage units so far is the fact that we were given a two month discount when we reserved them.

Nothing but problems since they changed away from CubeSmart. Rent was increased by $40 a month with no electronic notification (only by mail, and we all know how reliable USPS is these days), and no payment details made the switch. Office called to have me restart autopay, however their phone number doesn't connect (requires a PIN) and their contact form on their new website doesn't work, so I can't return their call. No other way to contact them. It's pretty easy to keep me as a customer for self storage, but somehow they have made everything difficult. I would avoid this location.

Kevin was super friendly and accomodating. He helped me find the best deal available & even stayed after the normal closing time to help me get set up as I slid in last minute to secure my unit.
