5 stars isn't enough for the outstanding service that was provided. He emailed me quotes after the store was closed, scheduled me for the next day, and provided the cheapest and most efficient service out of any shop around. He even matched quotes and went above and beyond to fix another problem that a different shop missed for free. Other shops were charging me over $4,000 for the repairs. Jeff did the job for $1,557. This will be my main shop from now on.

He means it when he says he has the lowest rates in town. My family has been going to him since he opened and have never been dissapointed. From the work he did on my Dads '57 Chevy to diagnosing (free of charge) the ran out of fuel problem in a dual tank truck i just bought. Best mechanic in town. He may be a bit OCD you could eat off of his floor, but that's who you want working on your daughters car, right?

Jeff at Star Automotive is still the only mechanic I trust in Fort Collins! Quality service at a fair price! Unfortunately he couldn't fit my RV on his lift so I was forced to go elsewhere. Big mistake! Fry's failed to fix my RV in 4-6 attempts and screwed me to the tune of over $9k wasted! Houska charged me for work that was never completely! I've been ripped off and jerked around by more mechanics in Fort Collins than I can name! Only one has stood above the rest! Jeff at Star Auto is hands down the best mechanic in Fort Collins for cars and trucks. The search for an honest heavy duty RV mechanic continues but Star Auto is definitely the go to for most vehicle repairs...

Well, Jeff was a go-to guy for a while but my BMW had a rear wheel bearing replaced and I think he spun the wheels too fast on the lift and threw out my differential. I got an error message from the computer after that service and the rear diff started making noise. So, that repair will be $3000 versus the $700 rear wheel bearing which really isn't good. He denied it of course but the car only has 50K on it and the code is linked directly to it.He also worked on my farm truck with an EGR valve and the sensor has gone on it. So that's another $400 and a repeat repair that will be needed before I smog it next month. That work was done a few years ago but should not have needed to be repeated. Shocks he did seem to be holding up okay. Overall, he's a fair mechanic but not a BMW or Mercedes guy. AB is best for for luxury SUVs. Cheers!

Owner posted total lies.. he went crazy before I could explain and obviously has some issue... he started swearing in front of my wife and I'd never been so disrespected by a business owner.. only go there if you want to deal with a Phycho and by the other reviews I'm not the only one who thinks so ! If your work is anything like your personality I'm sure it would show .. Avoid at all costs !!

Jeff is one of a kind. My Montero was leaking oil and no mechanical could figure how to stop it until i took it to Jeff. Price was reasonable and got done in a day. If you want quality work go to jeff

Jeff is like your neighborhood gearhead that just happens to a mechanic. Every time I’ve worked with Jeff on things I can’t complete myself I always feel like you’re treated as a neighbor. Had Star Automotive perform a head gasket repair on my 2009 Forester in early 2020. Was kept informed during process with pictures and text messages. Great job, corrected the leaking, good price, nice folks.
