We just had a favorite and old small armchair reupholstered. It had been relegated to the basement for the past 10 years due to wear . . . . They did a great job helping us pick out fabric. Only took about 2 hours. The price was fairly reasonable and the quality is wonderful. We love our "new" chair. It did take them a little longer than we expected and hoped -- a full 3+ months, but that includes the Xmas holidays too, so . . . . Now we have the "new" chair back in our living room and it looks perfect, like it has been there for a while. They're easy to deal with, flexible, and very knowledgeable.

Years ago and in a land far far away (the island of Cyprus, actually) . . . My wife and I bought a leather sofa and loveseat. Over the years, the seats grew softer and softer, and more uncomfortable. We approached several repair shops in Fort Collins but were turned down. We contacted Gayle at Sparrow House of Design, not knowing she holds a degree in design and years of experience. The couch and loveseat are completely sewn, so no removing of the cushions. Gayle came to our house, disassembled the loveseat, trucked it to her studio, and a day later had it back to us with new high-density foam. A week later, she did the same with the sofa, and had it back that afternoon. Her work onsite was clean, fast and professional. The results were simply beyond our expectations. And the cost was much less than we had projected. We cannot recommend her too highly.

I have been working with Gayle and her staff for about 10 months. I had several projects. She was extremely helpful, creative and patient. She has an unbelievable work ethic and sets the bar very high for quality she delivers. Her work is impeccable and her advice is stellar. My pieces are all beautiful. I moved here from a much larger market so was spoiled to lots of services. She could easily compete, and my designer, who works in New York City, said she produces work as good as his other workrooms. I am very particular and put a very critical eye on every project. We have more to do and I look forward to working with her. I know it will be right. She is an artist. I would not go to anyone else in this area. She's the best.

What an amazing place and crew of people! This was by far one of my best consumer experiences with a small local business ever. Gayle and her team are knowledgeable about interior design, knowledgeable about furniture craftsmanship and structure. I had an antique rocking chair that needed to be redone for our new nursery and had reached out to a couple of different places. Gayle’s costs were insanely more affordable than any other place - and on top of it, she was the only one who explained the cost breakdown. After finding Sparrow, it was clear that all the other upholsterers that I had contacted tried to take advantage as they wanted to charge for every little thing. Not only did Sparrow HOD reupholster the chair, her team fixed a broken spring, refinished the wood detailing, and did an amazing job restuffing the chair (all of these were “extras” at other shops). Gayle also helped us find an affordable, durable, neutral, yet still statement piece of fabric - she never once tried to push us out of our price range. It’s easy to see that Sparrow House is Design is a labor of love and an outlet for creative passion - it’s more than just a business.

We just had one of our favorite chairs reupholstered at Sparrow House of Design. It was old, tired and past due for a facelift. We decided to go a bit crazy and turn a conservative piece into a conversation piece. The array of material to choose from was fantastic. Gayle educated us on the different ratings for materials. Not only did they recover the chair, they put in new springs, stuffing and gave it an overall facelift. We have fallen in love it all over again!

Gayle is amazing! Her prices are great, and the quality of her work is EXCEPTIONAL. She has upholstered 3 pieces for me with bold, interesting fabrics, and I have had so many people compliment them when they are at my home. So bring in your old furniture and turn it into something new and fresh.
