Just tried to get my prescription and there was a lunch sign out and lights were off. I miss when Derek was running the counter and the hours of operation meant something. I guess I’ll have to come back again in this cold.

To all humans living paycheck to pay check. I went into this safe way needing juice for lunch and beef broth for a dinner I was making for my 4 children. I knew that between my two cards I had enough. Not only would the lady not help me by splitting the payment and shaming me she ended the conversation with I guess the money isn’t there and you don’t have it!!! I was mortified! She was horrible! But on top that I went to Walmart and received both items with amazing customer service support and split payment!!!

Sad to see, I for the second time have purchased meat here that was already spoiled.The first time it was chicken, I had purchased 4 separate cases and every single one was spoiled. Had to throw it all away, and probably lost out on $30. I tried to write it off as a fluke but definitely kept it in the back of my mind.On New Years Eve my husband out of desperation, ended up stopping here to pick up some steaks for us. The steaks had been packaged THAT DAY and upon opening were completely rancid smelling and brown everywhere that was covered by the packaging. It immediately stunk up the house thats how bad. The fact that someone had package the meat THAT DAY is absurd and a major health risk.That unfortunately was the breaking point for me and I decided this time I would return the meat and not lose out on another $30 the associate was kind enough to help me with my issue but when I tried to express concern about the meat department and asked if there was someone that could be informed that there might be an issue and have it looked into, she said and I quote “It’s just a hit or miss sometimes thats why we have the 30 day guarantee” and I was dumbfounded. So you have the guarantee because your regularly giving people rotten meat? It just did not seem like the appropriate response for a serious health hazard..You guys could seriously kill someone. This is a major health hazard. If someone with a lowered immune system that didn’t know much about meat or how it should look or smell, could have cooked and eaten those steaks and thought it was fine because may I reiterate IT WAS PACKAGED THAT DAY.It’s a bummer, this store has other this going for it, I often find products here that I can’t find elsewhere and I for the most part have had fabulous experiences with the associates, multiple times they have been so kind and friendly they make me want to come back but I can’t put my families health at risk.I also agree with other reviewers, its not only the meat that is going bad but most of the produce is not nearly as fresh in comparison to other stores in town. Especially for the price.I have lived here all my life and growing up Safeway was the place my whole family got there meat. So I am sad to see had bad it has gotten. we recently moved into our first home down the street from this Safeway and I was hoping to make this our regular grocery store but unfortunately with all these issues we will be avoiding this store.

I hate leaving bad reviews/honestly reviews at all. I ordered driveup and go as I hate going inside grocery stores. I waited outside for an hour. I tried calling, I reached out to online support (which is useless, I took screenshots because it’s almost funny how unbelievable it was). Eventually I went inside the store, which defeats the whole purpose of the service, and asked a manager if my order actually existed. After an hour, my order was finally brought out without a single apology or anything. Will NEVER order this service again after this experience, Walmart does it better and I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes there, let alone an hour.

No longer giving service to this store or brand as they treat their employees deplorably. Anti trans & Ableism is running rampant through the fresh cuts produce department and store managers are part of the hate. The head store manager has been made aware of illegal firings & Oppression and no action has been taken. We typically spend close to 20k a year here but no more. The one on Drake has great employee relationships so go there if need be.

Stop locking the west door! The east entrance forces people to walk by bums outside the liquor store. Locking the door is probably a fire safety violation. The building wasn’t designed for half the doors to be used.You need a checker in the evening whenever the store is open. I’m not doing self check out, I don’t work here. Self-checkout eliminates jobs. Tonight 3 young men working there watched me check my items. They should be the ones doing it. Sorry, not sorry if i didn’t ring something up correctly, whoops!

And I really like safeway, They have good deals on all the things that you need. Nowadays, everything in all grocery stores are about the same price.And it's just become that way.Since Covid. They have good prices on their meats. They have great produce, and their deli is awesome bakery as well. I like it cause they're more laid band very helpful and friendly. Id refer them Safewayto anyone/everyone.

I have been shopping at this Safeway for years. So long in fact that most of the staff know by name witch makes for a more personal experience. I usually check out with Miss Lisa and she is so nice. I use a store gift card and I refill in often. The mangers let me us a check to fill it witch is usually isn't allowed.

I am very upset with Safeway and its management. My husband purchased a $300 Safeway Gift Card for his 90 year old father for Father's Day. My father-in-law recently lost the use of his right arm during a surgery. He lives in Tucson, Arizona. He does not have or use a cell phone. When my father-in-law went down to Safeway in Tucson to use the gift card the number was somehow not reading properly. My father-in-law claimed that it was wrapped in very tight plastic and he had trouble opening the package, thus damaging the card. The card can never be used as it is damaged. Obviously, the card has not been used. The $300 will never be redeemed! I spoke to a female manager initially and she was very nice. She researched and found the original purchase and our credit card information. She gave me a "ticket number" and said we could expect a refund within 30 days. We have the proof of the purchase of the card. When I contacted Safeway Help Desk and gave them my ticket number they said that without a photo of the gift card, its packaging and the receipt there is no way they could even research this. So, apparently, because my 90 year old father-in-law does not have a cell phone or the ability to day any of the things asked we are out $300!!! When I spoke to Gary, your store manager, he was not helpful at all. I am disgusted! To think that a large company like Safeway would not give us a refund when the card cannot be used is HORRIBLE!!! The female manager told me that the store has been having a lot of problems with the cards since they started putting them in "impossible to open" plastic. I cannot believe your team would not help us further with this matter. This is a SCAM. We will NEVER shop at Safeway again and I plan to repeat this story over and over on every platform I can. This is just corporate theft and greed in my opinion.

Staff are always friendly but the store is very outdated and my grandma almost fell, over by the deli due to the floor not being level. Floors REALLY need to be deep cleaned or just a whole store remodel is needed.
