Fort Collins Gun Room reminds me of gun shops of the past-in a good way. They have lots of vintage military firearms, mainly U.S. and German (Luger, Walther, Mauser, more), plus period accessories as well as modern rifles, pistols, ammo, books-you name it. The shop is located just east of the landmark Charco Broiler restaurant-if you are from out of town or haven't been there yet-give it a try too!

If you haven’t read the other one star reviews, maybe you should. Take your business somewhere else. Incredibly disrespectful.

Nice selection but insanely high scalper level prices. I will buy other places which respect their customers.

I was in the shop when the other Yelper called about the 270 ammo and he is not exaggerating. The shop owner was rude to him and he was irritated that i was even there in the shop. I would stay away from here as the guy is just rude and i tried to buy some ammo and he refused to sell it to me (he said "I take cash only from you"). I didn't buy anything and i will never return. I have no idea how this clown stays in business.

Called to see if there was 270 ammo, he said " I am done talking about ammo, if you want to know come in" Living in Denver that is ridiculous... takes all of 2 seconds to answer the question??

5 stars just for the huge collection of military firearms and other memorabilia alone. That's not to imply there are no other good things here, including the owner, but in my 50+ years since being a young teen interested in both firearms and history I've never seen the equivalent of what's in the building. As an aside, I'm not a cat guy but the friendly feline sidekick fits in well and looks amazingly well taken care of too.

Walked in maybe two steps all but told to leave. "I'm really only open for orders and receipt of shipments".

Not sure the experiences of the other 2 unhappy folks visitung the store, but my experience was great. He specializes in vintage militaria and is very forthcoming discussing that area in detail if you share an interest in the same. Not the the store for your your black modern rifles etc. I loved the place. Like an historic militaria museum.

Wow... Won't shake your hand, says, "just one of my quirks." Store is full of N*** memorabilia. I went in to talk about technical rifle info and left feeling like I left a front for the northern colorado KKK headquarters. He offered no knowledge of firearms, and literally wouldn't shake my hand! He did offer a fist bump. The good: Well orgininized store if you are looking for ww2 stuff that is not mainstream. A lot of hard to find non american allies stuff if you are into that, I'm not. Lots of collectables all the way around. The owner said he has been there since 2001. I don't want to paint him as a supremacist, but I just had the creepy feeling I wasn't and didn't want to be part of the club! If you are looking for collectables that typically aren't available in the states, it may be the place for you. If you are looking for advanced fire arm information, I do not recommend it. If you are like me, and just the thought of an SS flag being displayed turns your gut, stay away!

Stopped by at 1pm on a Friday. Doors locked and lights off. Must be out of business or will be shortly.

Neat owner who cares a lot about the history of each item in the store. Walking through the shop has a similar feel as a museum, because there's just so much stuff available from all times of the past.

This is the best store in the state if you love military items! None better! Just call first and make sure he's in!
