“What is a raptor? A raptor is a Hawk..... So I am learning so much from Yelp's virtual events and this event, The Rocky Mountain Raptor Program is no stranger to education and information to people like me.... The RMRP is an organization who rescues, rehabilitates and then, returns the Raptor back to the wild. However in some cases, the bird is injured that even with rehabilitation would not survive in the wild. In these cases they are housed and cared for within and through this Raptor Program. The raptors who are in the program are not given names. Why? Not sure but I'm guessing that might lend to attachment so as a rule, No names??? The raptor's beak and it's feet!!! what are they called? Bird Feet!!!! They need the feet and beak as a tool for their survival. Their wing span can reach five feet.... (that spans my height!!! LOL) Those birds are so pretty or handsome as it may be. I'm glad and I tip my hat to the RMRP for giving them a second lease on life. oh, by the way, if you see other birds in harm's way, you can reach out to the RMRP with a picture of what needs help and they will find the right group to assist. Thank you!!! RMRP!!!!”
“Fun, friendly, and productive! I've volunteered on eight WRV nature restoration projects. I've met so many nice and interesting people through WRV. They are great at organizing volunteers so we're productive and have fun. Free food, too! WRV organizes over 100 volunteer projects a year in Colorado to restore wetlands, jump-start nature's return to fire and flood-ravaged areas, build trails, and obliterate encroaching roads. Your volunteer time is well-spent with WRV.”
“It's clean, well stocked with beautiful items from furniture for the interior and exterior of your home. To the everyday items that you need to do home improvements inexpensively. They have a boutique called "The Shed" inside the store with absolutely great finds at great prices." The Shed" has items that are in amazing condition that are as nice as what you would find in a lovely small town boutique for a fraction of the price. The staff is the BEST! They are helpful, friendly and just the most amazing people! They have an outdoor area that has so many great treasures from tiles, to sinks, to lawn supplies, patio furniture, plants, to well just about anything you might need or want. Go and explore, it's worth it!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
“The United Way of Larimer County offers so many ways to give back to our community, including kits that you can put together in your own time and in your own home. Volunteering is more than going out and building homes or serving soup, which is a daunting idea because we lead such full lives with jobs and kids -- some of us fighting disabilities and caring for elderly parents. The United Way of Larimer County provides volunteer work in flexible ways so we can all do to give back to our community. For example, I love papercrafting -- there's a program called Service To Go: Greeting, Holiday, and Birthday Cards; I donated 78 handmade cards to the United Way and gave back to my community doing something I love.”
“I particularly like this Goodwill as it seems to have nicer things. This is especially true at the end of the school year as the college students seem to bring their gently used furnishings. Great place to get an end table or bar stool”
“Outreach is doing great work in our community. They are kind, responsive, and helpful to both businesses and people. Everyone deserves a good life, and Outreach is certainly making a difference by providing resources to those who need them. Expertly trained, and efficient, while being empathetic and responsive to needs. Thank you Outreach! PS, if you have an after-hours need, still give them a call and leave a voicemail. It will help them demonstrate need to get the resources to extend their hours.”
