Their customer service is really bad. They do not acknowledge receipt of estimate requests and if you try to get acknowledgement they deny you service and are rude about it. Do not use!!

Great job on 2 large chairs. The lead times are a bit long, but it was well worth the wait, they finished a couple of days early. Perfect work, and highly recommended. Thank you

Ok so I don't usually give bad reviews so here I go. I dropped 4 door panels off 2 1/2 weeks ago to have repaired. The gentle man said no problem having them finished before my daughter turns 16 on may 16, basically 4 weeks to have them finished.. I walked in today and the man at the front said hasn't touched them and cannot get them done before the 16th. Well now I need to scramble to have them repaired some where else before my daughters big day. I give this Place an F+ for customer service.

I had three cushions from my La-Z-Boy couch, circa 1993, that needed new foam. I walked in with the cushions (23 x 28 x 6) and picked them up the next morning, perfectly done! They simply squeezed me in between their other jobs and made a quick $350. Money well spent, I'd say! When I asked about staining the various cat scratches and minor cracks, they suggested I go to Rogers Shoe Repair, in Midtown Commons, and look for some upholstery dye.Rogers had exactly what I needed; the fellow I spoke with told me exactly how to use the water based dye, including the possibility of mixing several together to get my exact burgundy color. I didn't need to do that, but for $20 got a jar of dye that matched my couch closely enough that I didn't need to do anything with it. My couch is so improved I can hardly believe it . . . saved around $2,300 by not having to replace it!

Save yourself a giant headache and find another upholstery shop – these people are terrible. Had a small and large project to do, and was happy to find some positive reviews for Benedict Upholstery. I have since come to believe the favorable reviews are either purchased or bogus reviews given the behavior of these clowns. To save some time, made an initial contact with Sam Benedict via a handful of emails. My small project was nothing more than needing a 2’x2’ piece of foam for a seat cushion. I worked out with Sam in the emails, that I could drop by the shop anytime, get the piece of foam on the fly, and run through the details of the larger project with him. The day came - there was a young guy and an old guy working in the shop. I asked to see Sam – young guy says Sam isn’t in today. No worries I say, I am sure you can help me. Told young guy I had exchanged emails with Sam, and had made arrangements with him where I could stop in anytime, get the foam and do what I needed to get done. Young guy starts squirming a bit, staring at the counter, and says he can’t do anything today, and I would have to come back. I started to say again I had made prior arrangements with Sam - when the old guy pipes in with a sarcastic, abrasive tone “well Sam isn’t here today.” Why on earth it didn’t occur to this guy that maybe they should honor the commitments made by Sam, but apparently, he doesn’t have the slightest bit a business savvy or acumen to figure that out. Then the old guy says something more about me coming in there an interrupting them. I thought what business person with an ounce of intelligence sees a customer standing at the counter willing spend money as an interruption. Finally, I just said, can’t you just take 5 minutes and cut the foam I need? The old guy in the most abrasive tone he could muster, says it doesn’t take just 5 minutes. I thought, you are right, it can’t take more 2. At that point I left after wasting 90 minutes and 50 miles driven to see these idiots. After, I sent Sam Benedict another email explaining what happened and asking what’s up with that? Sam had neither the character or courage to respond. Best advice, go elsewhere and avoid these clowns.

I sent pictures via web portal. No response. I called and sent measurements. No response. Called a third time and they said, I will get it to you this afternoon. Nothing. I called a fourth time and they had no record. Said I would get a call back. Today I called and they said, let me pull this up and I will call you back. I said, ok. That is what you told me before. Are you really going to call me back or should I look for a new place (politely) He said, Well, maybe look for a new place cause it sounds like you don't have a lot of confidence in us. Hilarious way to do business. I rarely leave reviews, but this was kind of ridiculous. Can't attest to their work, but they wasted my time so I thought I should leave a review.

My 1993 3-piece LaZBoy couch cushions were greatly in need of new foam. I took them in, as requested. For three cushions, 6" deep and roughly 23" x 28" each they charged me $350. PLUS, they did them for me within 24 hours! The couch is very comfortable again, suitable for this 6'2" guy to sit or sleep on. They even recommended a close-by shoe store where I could get some dye to touch up the assorted cracks and cat scratches it picked up over the years. I found some dye (by chance, because they were low on many colors) matched the leather color perfectly! On top of all that, the guys in the shop were just as pleasant as they could be. Roger discussed automotive interiors briefly, and Dave complimented the color of my car's seats. Don't NOT think about going to Benedict's . . . they're GREAT!
