I love my doctor, best I’ve ever had but since the takeover of Village Medical it has been almost impossible to reach and schedule with him. The messaging system is practically nonfunctional, messages don’t get to my doctor and if he weren’t the best I would have left immediately after the takeover. I have never been more disappointed with a medical service.

Dr Garban is absolutely the best. She has notes of our appointment and follows through with any commitment she has suggested. I wish my wife would move her care to Village Medical..

In my experience, Village Medical is a very professional health care facility operated by very caring staff who do everything extremely efficiently. I am fortunate to be seen by Dr Prowse who is an incredibly caring physician who is a great listener and addresses all my questions and concerns. I highly recommend Village Medical for healthcare!

Our experience with Village Medical has been awful. The transition was confusing, billing and insurance have been incorrect and it's extremely difficult to reach a live person. We are very disappointed with the system as we like our doctor.

I really like my doctor. ?The office aesthetic is tired looking. The nurse or MA seemed new and inexperienced. She couldn't pronounce several of my vitamins or spell things to look them up. She actually said "I'm not going to add that.." because she couldn't spell it correctly to look it up. Even though I spelled it for her.I also needed to give a blood sample for two tests my doctor wanted to run. Worst phlebotomist I've ever had (and I've donated over 10 gallons of blood, and dozens of donations of platelets and plasma). The needle wasn't that big, but the site continued to bleed for 15 minutes, even after applying pressure. I have a small size hematoma around the needle site and got blood blisters where he put the tape. That's never happened before!

Dr Prows is excellent! However, he ordered follow up blood tests, which was a nightmare. Called Village Medical to see if the LabCorp phlebotomist was in at Prows' clinic (near me) and the remote Village Medical person said yes, which was not true. When I got there the phlebotomist had been called away to Windsor again (this has happened before). The front desk person thought there should be two phlebotomists available at the Horsetooth office but when I got there, one had called in sick (Covid) and the other was AWOL. I think Village Medical should fire LabCorp and contract with a reliable partner.

This review is for Village Medical. I entered at 9:40 for a 10 am appointment. I waited 10 minutes to be checked in. One receptionist was on the phone and never looked up. The other was helping a lady with a series of questions that was about something not related to their clinic. Finally the lady moved aside to read a printout and I was checked in in 10seconds.I prechecked everything. Within 5 minutes a nurse took me back to the exam room checked vitals and the Dr would right in. 50minutes later not seeing the Dr, no one came by to say she was running late. I walked out tell someone upfront I had been here an hour and 10 minutes and that was long enough. Next day a note from the Dr explained about her lateness. I have been with my Dr for over 10 years and with Associates in family Medicine, nothing like this ever happened. It would of been nice at the reception desk, the lady on the phone, excuse me can I put you on hold while I check this person in??? What a frustrating experience. I was expecting to get some information about my health since I have not felt well since July1.

I really like my doctor but it’s very difficult to get someone on the phone and if you leave a message don’t expect a timely answer. Many of the medical assistants are unprofessional. I have been with AFM since 2004 but I am looking for a new practitioner because it feels like the docs and staff are very overworked and can’t spend any time with their patients. It is now about the all mighty dollar and not about patient care. This feels like a top down problem

Love my doctor but since Village Medical took over care has diminished. None of my insurance info was transferred so since Aug 19th I have received no less than 5 statements & warning me to pay or else because they haven't sent the bill to Medicare. Plus they refuse to work with UCHealth. Hate to leave my doctor but will be looking for a new one.

Trudy at check in is always so caring, professional & helpful above & beyond her role. Dr Prows was fantastic today & made me feel heard & assisted. He read my entire past med hx & present issues. He addressed everything. I am a person with very complex medical issues. Dr. Prows always demonstrates a willingness to help me where other doctors are dismissive. Bravo all!!

The doctors and staff at AFM are truly outstanding, very competent, responsive, and very patient-focused. Unfortunately AFM was bought out by Village Medical and the customer service and communications have plummeted into the deep abyss. Apparently all of Village Medical's effort has been focused on pitching how great this corporate merger is for patients, meanwhile they've made it impossible for patients to reach a human by phone and the new web portal doesn't allow scheduling or messaging until after you've completed an appointment using the new system. And how does one accomplish that if you can't connect via phone or their portal? This has been going on too long. If Village Medical doesn't fix these problems quickly, and show the slightest care for serving their patients, I'll sadly have to find a new doctor elsewhere.

Very happy with Dr Joseph Prows.He actually cares about my health. Very easy to talk with. I don't like having to be on hold for 15 to 30 minutes trying to speak with someone. Thank you.

Dr. Prows is my husband’s physician. My husband is 84 and doesn’t care much for doctors. But we are quite happy with Dr. Prows.
