Stopped through on our vacation and bought a wooden bear which I thought would be cheaper than I had paid for it . the price tag was missing from it . The lady later told me when I called that they keep the tags and reuse them . Why didn’t she explain this to me before charging? The price should ALWAYS stay on the item in case there’s a problem with the amount charged.. I feel I was charged MORE and because I have no way to prove it , nothing I can do but deal with it. Bad business! Shame on you!

Got totally blown off today. Employee or owner not sure took a personal phone call right in the middle of me talking to him. He literally cut me off. He stayed on the phone the entire time my husband and I were in the store looking. I actually had a question about something I was interested in purchasing but he was so engaged talking about his rental property and insurance issues. I put the item down and walked out. I guess the business is doing so well my purchase and time didn't matter.

Charming little shop. The owner was really sweet and shared some local history and places to visit. Definitely worth stopping for.

This place is amazing...and the outdoor metal decorations are so awesome that I spent $1,000 on them and loaded up my rental car...and shipped them home! I stop every time I head to BV.

Boy do they have a lot of stuff to look at. It takes a while to see everything that's in there. Some really cool stuff though.

Love love love this place!! As you can see I love grizzly bears!! Just park not in the way, or at least drive past and then turn around to go back to safe parking lot just before you get to the store, so much safer for every one that way. Expect tourist prices, high quality work. Better than other mountain towns. And so much more creativity!! Where else can you find a pink dinosaur?? Was wondering if they had pink flamingos?? Lol just for fun. Worth stopping here!

The outside: The metal sculptures outside are incredible! I ended up with a small cactus, but I wish I had taken home the large pink dinosaur. There's truly something for everyone--there are the whimsical VW bug planters to more standard lawn decor like those wooden bears every ski condo in Colorado has. I am honestly writing this review so I have Fairplay Furniture Consignment book marked once I am ready to hit buy on that dino.Antiques: There are a few gems here, for sure, but like a lot of antique shops you have to go on a treasure hunt to sort the great buys from the more run-of-the-mill stuff or the reproductions. I'm not personally super into antiques so the inside of the store wasn't really my jam, but I did see some cool doorknobs and cabinet knobs, and even an old child-size toy car that sparked my interest!COVID: The staff all wear masks and both staff and patrons observe social distancing inside the store. When I commented on how safe this makes me feel to the woman ringing me up, she shared that it's in part because they are at least an hour from the nearest hospital, so an outbreak would be a real disaster. I really appreciated that everyone was just respectful about the mask order (it was in place in Summit before the rest of Colorado this summer). Down in Denver people wear their masks like earrings or chin straps, or just around their mouth and it's just...even if you think the global pandemic won't impact you, it's just nice to see people who don't want it to impact others.Bonus: It's located right next to a gas station and, in the summer months, a Palisades peaches and local honey stand.
