If I could rate higher, I would. Though the team at PETS Emergency Hospital saved our dog’s life, I’d think just as highly of them if she hadn’t made it. The care and compassion that they showed to our pup AND our family, their thorough and frequent communication, their flexibility, and their no-judgement attitudes made a stressful situation into a manageable one.
Dr. Dunn and Dr. Roman both were so wonderful. They made time to update us regularly but also took our calls and answered questions at all hours. Every vet tech was friendly and kind. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
As a side note, I was pleasantly surprised by the prices but maybe that’s because I’ve paid more for emergency vet services before and I work in the emergency medical field so it makes sense to me why an emergency medical service is more expensive than a regular vet clinic. I have read many of the negative reviews and most of them are upset about fees - sorry to say, but no business runs on hopes and dreams. The staff here proves through their actions that their work is meaningful to them - but they can’t be there without money to run the place. People, use your heads. It isn’t money grubbing. It’s reality.

My experiences here is great. I have used this location multiple times for multiple pets and each time I'm at ease and happy to have taken them here.
My first experience here was with my dog Mac who has an knack of always hurting his back either running around or jumping around chasing after things in the yard. After hurting himself badly and not being able to walk we decided we had to bring him here. The team of Carole, Lindsey, Megan, Kamie and , Bes took such good care of him that he was walking and no longer in pain in a matter of minutes from when we walked in the door. Sure they require some payment upfront but it's very reasonable if your a true pet lover just looking for some relief for your fur baby. The process was efficient and left me feeling relaxed and calm knowing my pet was In much better shape then when I arrived. Everything was explained In great Detail and nothing was done that I did not approve before hand. Overall Mac is still doing amazing with the meds I got sent home with and seems to be even better then before he ever was.
But wait there is more. I also used this location to put my dog Muffin to rest. After 18 Years our dog was finally ready to take that long nap? unfortunately it was on a Sunday and she took a turn for the worst at the final stages of her life. After calling around endlessly looking for help we called here and had no issues getting her right in to be looked at. The care for our Muffin was the best I have ever experienced .They showed such compassion and care for my dog, one doctor was even fighting tears with us. They walked us through the entire process and let us take as much time as needed before they gave her the shots to put her down. Due to age we knew it was that time. They gave us the ashes in a great quality box and even had a card hand signed by the staff. This team really cares. 15/5 stars if I could.
Thanks again for all your help.

I went here after being instructed by animal poison control to take my cat to an emergency veterinarian as soon as physically possible.
When I arrived, I was told they wouldn't even look at my cat before I paid them and then told me, after payment, that we needed to call animal poison control to get them the answers for treating her.
I went to CSU after being berated for being unprepared for cat ownership because I didn't understand why the emergency vet could not do their job without calling an outside body and paying an additional fee. CSU helped me immediately with no demand that I should call another doctor to help my pet.
If you cannot treat an emergency situation with an animal, you should not pretend to be an emergency vet. Treating someone like they're insane for crying over their dying pet is beyond enough of a reason not to go into this field.
Warning to all pet owners: Do NOT go here if your pet's life is on the line.
Edited to add: the veterinarian was never verbally abused. My friend asked "are you stupid" after being told that the veterinarian was not trained on how to handle one of the most common household poisonings of cats on the planet. You are not an emergency vet if this is not in your capabilities. Please, pet owners, seek alternative resources.

Front desk was rude, unhelpful, and unempathetic.
Our dog broke his leg in three places and the cast completely fell off that they did three days earlier. The front desk was so rude and just told us to call before we came in and sent us on our way, with a 95 lb dog with a broken leg and no help.

Went in since my dog ate something they shouldnt have and the front desk was short and did not care about the situation. Felt like she thought we came in for a dumb reason (corn cobs are deadly) and just told us to call throughout for a 3 hour wait time which isnt their fault but she gave us no other info or wrote any info down. Excited to meet the vets but first impression isnt to well.

Took my dog in because of a wasp stings on the head and ears, (this isn't the first time she's been stung) last time she was stung it was the mouth area which was worse and our normal vet told us give her benadryl and she would be fine and she was, we just wanted to get her checked and went based off information based off last time, the swelling on the head went down but not the ears, (it had already been a day and a half since the stings), she started throwing up which is why we took her in, other than that everything else about her was still normal, the front office lady who took her was very nice and caring, she is the one our dog stuck around her which is what we were told, the vet we had was very rude, she tried to talk down to us and told us we didn't do enough for her, they came in and told us that they fought her to get on the scale and because of that broke a nail in the process, the vet processed to hound us that we should have given her some medication to relax her because she's "high anxiety" before coming in and tried to blame us for this instant, (again this dog who has been to the vet a couple times for checkups), they have never had an issue with her, they tried charging $120+ to wrap the paw properly (we declined it and told them we will do it), the sparky vet asked "your not talking about a bandaid right?" No we can properly wrap it and get her taken care of from that.... best part they decided to wrap it charge free.... hilarious! We were not pleased with the way the vet treated us or the way she tried blaming and talking down to us, for not doing enough for our dog, they did tests on her for anaphylaxis, they never mentioned anything about that to us after we had gotten her back about the test (was it ever even done???), overall not pleased with this office, very money hungry and will not be going to this office again no matter the circumstances.

We found ourselves at the emergency vet with an allergic reaction. Our nerves were calmed as the team took all of our information ahead of our arrival and they knew exactly what to do when we finally got to the clinic. The communication and care was great and our little lady is doing well after their treatment. Thanks!

Both of my girls managed to injure themselves in the exact same spot, after hours of course. The team at PetsEmergency were amazing in how they handled my pups and were very upfront about the delays in getting the girls seen. It seemed like every pup in town needed to be seen that night, but the care team triaged everyone and did just as they should have by taking priority cases first. I ended up waiting for about 2 hours but I’m very thankful that the team followed protocol. I would have been devastated had another pup or cat not gotten the help they needed when mine could have waited. The care team apologized numerous times for my wait time even though they didn’t need to.
The cost for treatment is high and I wish there were a way for that to be a little lower, but they are an after hours emergency vet, so I understand that part too. It might be nice though if the owners would set up a pay it forward account though. Everyone loves their pets, but not everyone can afford an ER visit and it sucks having to make the call on treatment or putting your furry friend down because you can’t afford the visit. I’d be happy to donate to a program like that.
Overall very happy with how my girls were looked after and how the care team handled everything.

I brought my dog in. He was in very bad condition, and I wasn’t sure if he was even alive. I knew about the $165 exam fee but they tried charging $980 upfront without even knowing anything. They also came right back out and asked if I wanted to do CPR then told me they need $600 or $700 to start CPR. Why would CPR cost that much? My poor dog passed away before I walked in the door and they tried getting $1,000 out of me immediately. I can’t imagine what it would be if he would have lived. This place seems more money hungry than anything.

This place is a joke and doesn’t care about animals at all. They are money hungry. My family brought our dog in after she swallowed a rock and told us that our options were a 10 thousand dollar surgery that had a 50/50 chance of working or to put her down. The nurse, Maddy, was a wonderful lady and actually cared. She felt for us and wanted to help us the best she could. The doctor came into the room and told us our options and had the audacity to try to make jokes and laugh. It didn’t feel like she actually cared, or that she even wanted to help.
We called again the talk about my dog shaking after being given the medication. And the lady on the phone told us “I don’t know want to tell you” and honestly didn’t want to be on the phone to help.
The doctors here do not care about animals health, all they want is money.
We took her to the actual vet and told us that she should’ve been put on antibiotics when she first came in. They failed us.
DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE.

I'm torn about leaving this review, but I am deeply unsatisfied. We had to take our dog Pickle here twice for separate reasons. The first time we arrived we thought he had an allergic reaction to a bee or something. They saw us quickly and after a pretty expensive visit he was okay and life moved on. I was annoyed about the price but whatever it was 9 at night and he got seen.
We had to take him again because he was dry heaving and salivating a lot, we had thought something might've been lodged in his throat and after calling around this was the only pet hospital open and available. After an eye watering 1100 dollars to check on him, they sent him home with two medications. I was again annoyed and shocked about the cost but again whatever it's an emergency clinic. However they call us the next to check on him and we tell them he has now had extreme diarrhea. They tell us oh thats not good lets get him a probiotic. I ask to speak to a vet about his condition and am told they are too busy and that the meds will help fix it and it's just a result of what he went through. They wont even get a callback. After a quick google search one of the medications most common symptoms is you guessed it, diarrhea.
Go to this place as a last resort, they will gouge your wallet and don't care about after care for your pet.

I have taken both my dog and cat to PETS Emergency hospital in the last year, and each time they are incredible.
Most recently, I had my diabetic senior cat in who was in a life threatening situation. Dr. Dunn and staff were unbelievable. From the knowledge and experience—but most of all—the “bedside manner.”
They had to relay some very difficult information about my sick kitters, and did so with such empathy. They gave me all the info I needed to make informed decisions about his care, never rushing or pressuring me one way or another.
We had to leave our cat overnight, and they provided continual updates on his progress and let us visit. Each time we came to the clinic, Dr. Dunn always took the time to meet with us and answer any questions or concerns we had.
I felt like Singer wasn’t just another patient; he was truly cared for. Especially bc he is a bit spicy and doesn’t like being away from home. Everyone did their best to meet his needs, and had so much patience. I can’t thank you enough.

They were able to see my dog right away and provide a correct diagnosis almost immediately. While the cost of the office visit is double a regular vet visit, it was as expected for emergency services and was explained to me on the phone as well as with signage upon check in. All procedures were explained in detail along with pricing. I felt they were extremely transparent! Just like a visit to the ER doesn't cost the same as a checkup with your doctor, it shouldn't be expected to be different with animal care.
Otto is doing well, and while we hope to not have need of emergency treatment again, we would return if needed!
