Overall a great hotel and price for the area, you can hear people in other rooms but it was quiet by ~11pm. One thing is that the shower does not have a door/curtain and instead just a half piece of glass, so water will get on the bathroom floor.

Rooms: Spacious, clean, and comfy! They’ve done a great job renovating the space to be the perfect place to rest and recharge for your outdoor adventures. We loved the in-room decor and found the guide books super helpful!
Nearby activities: We came to hike in Rocky Mountain National Park - loved every minute of it!
Food & drinks: Casa Colina is delicious for both breakfast and dinner! The food recommendations on the website are also good - we tried The Post and Bird & Jim.
Noteworthy details: Friendly and helpful staff.

Our stay at The Trailborn was fabulous, upon arrival our kiddos were greeted with bingo cards they were encouraged to fill during our stay for a prize. We also arrived during the complimentary s’mores time frame (5-9pm) which was amazing after being on the road all day!
We entered into an extremely clean room, with a tent (we booked this in advanced) and elk stuffies for our kiddos to stay & play in during our stay. Beds were comfortable and the Grown Alchemist shower products were relaxing and perfect scents.
We love that the room includes use of the cooler (really clean!) so we packed breakfast (overnight oats and parfaits from Casa Colina) got ice from the lobby and went on our way to enjoy RMNP! The fact that coolers and ice are so easily accessible makes planning for a day out so much easier!
We loved Jason from Casa Colina, he was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and super awesome all around with drinks and food recommendations. Everything was delicious, the guac is legit and the chicken tingas tacos were incredible, don’t sleep on that! My husband ordered almost each type of taco during our stay and the bowls and liked all of them, especially the mushroom taco. Kiddos menu is perfect for us, pb&js is so our level right now.
We loved our stay and look forward to returning here/checking out the new Trailborn locations opening!
TL/DR: Highly recommend, super clean, fabulous kind staff, awesome extras!
Rooms: Super clean, comfortable, updated bathrooms
Food & drinks: Casa Colina, 100% amazing. Jason was awesome.
Guac 100%
Chicken Tingas 100%
Margaritas 100%

Great location with easy walk into Estes.
Nicely appointed facilities. Very retro and well done.
The rooms are really small, as are bathrooms, especially for four people.
AC had trouble working.
Food is great.
However, the brochure says there is a complimentary breakfast. It’s not complimentary.
Moreover, we paid $6 for 2” cup of overnight oats. And the same for a parfait. It was laughable how small the portion was, especially given how easy it would be to increase the size.
Portions of all food are very small.
The s’mores by the fire were great.
Lastly, given all you get, the value is simply not there at $415 a night. It’s at least $100 a night overpriced.
Lastly, we were quoted $215 for the night we were coming. When we arrived at the hotel, we were quoted almost double that. They were unwilling to do anything to make it right or compromise in any way, shape, or form.
We would stay again if we found a deal, but otherwise, we would find a better value.

This was an unexpected stop and a pleasant surprise. We will stay here again when we return. The room and public spaces decor just checks all the right boxes for me. The front desk person was exceedingly nice & helpful. Coffee in the room would be nice. However, there is a specialty coffee shop in the lobby. The s’mores station & fire pit was icing on the cake ? 10 out of 10 would recommend.

This hotel is a must! Very new / renovated rooms with an extremely friendly staff. Early check in was very easy and the outdoor fire pit and seating was the best way to end the day. Highly recommend!

Mixed bag here but mostly good. The rooms were solid. They, along with the entire hotel were recently updated.
The bad...
the pool had issues that were being repaired. Also there's no hot tub which would be outstanding after hiking for miles at RMNP which is why most people stay here. We got one of the rooms that had a leaking A/C unit. This has been noted in other reviews. It dripped condensate into our room on our first night. Thankfully, they moved us to a different room after that and we had no further issues with that.
The good...
The rooms are clean and updated. Room service happens every day which isn't always the case, so points for that. The breakfast burritos and the tacos are very good. Location to the main street in Estes is ideal. The biggest positive is Conner. He works the afternoon/evening shift and he was beyond accommodating throughout our stay. He's the crown jewel of the outfit.
In summary this is a flipped hotel and they're trying to do things right but there's a few growing pains and it's evident. Thankfully the staff helps to make things enjoyable. I think this hotel will be successful but they're still shoring things up, so some minor patience would be of the virtue.

Great and welcoming staff!
Rooms: Docked one star because you can hear everything outside in your room. This is a motel style hotel. No blackout curtains.

This hotel is a MUST when traveling to Estes Park. I loved how minimalist the rooms were but had EVERY thing I needed. Such an amazing location right off the main drag. The staff were decent at offering suggestions on places to dine locally but that’s ok. I can’t state enough how great the rooms were. I’d send any of my family or friends here in a heart beat.
