The associate working at the back desk was very helpful. He recommended a great hike and spikes, which were very much needed for the ice pack in the early morning.

This place is awesome. I needed some socks and a kind gentleman named Kenny sat me down and showed me how to properly tie my boots. I also ended up coming in a second time to get the socks he recommended (I chose a cheaper pair and suffered for it ?). If Kenny tells you to do something- do it. He should be in charge or train new people there. He knows his stuff.

Very cute store. Like a mini REI. Even though we couldn’t find the kids snow boots we were looking for, they were extremely kind and helpful.

Kenny was so kind and helped me pick out a new pair of hiking boots because I forgot mine before my road trip to RMNP :)

I stop in the place and buy something almost every time I make it to Estes which is almost annually. This year (last week) I spent a lot of money. They are educated on their products so you can feel you are making good choices. I got two pair of Oboz hiking shoes and a few shirts. They always have a great selection of gear. If you are looking for something this is certainly the place to stop and check out. They have never failed me!!

Affordable microspikes rentals for $8 a day with friendly and helpful staff who even gave us trail recommendations! We’ll be back next time we’re in the area.

Only commenting to say please update your hours. Yelp says open at 10:30 on a Sunday but the shop was closed. No hours posted on door either

Good selection of gear, rented poles for a day ($4) which was better than buying $60 poles. They also have a few other things you can rent, including spikes

I can’t say enough about this shop!!!! My boyfriend and I traveled to Estes Park in October 2019. We meet John when we walked in to get my John some snow pants. We struck up a conversation with John about things to see in RMNP and around town. He told us of a place down Highway 7 that was a good possibility to see a moose, he was right, we got to see a young bull. This shop and the people of Estes made such an impression on us we had to return to get married. We spent last week in town and any last minutes things we were missing or forgot, we would run in the store to buy some Columbia jackets, stickers for my car, a crossbody bag for my sister-in-law, we even rented crampons and trex poles. This time we also got to meet Chris who is also a manager. It was a wonderful feeling to know they were there after COVID and the nasty fire season. 2019, we ran in the store for a few things and recommendations but 2 1/2 years later John and I consider them friends!!!!!

This place is the best! Jason helped me out with some snow spikes for my hiking boots as I wanted to take an adventure in the RMNP! He was very helpful and patient with me! Jason helped me try on the spikes and made sure I knew how to properly put them on! And he took the time to help me pick a suitable hike! It was $8 for 24hrs and an extra dollar for hiking poles! Especially in the winter time I would highly recommend getting some spikes so you can enjoy your hike! Thank you outdoor world for helping make my trip a success!!
