Super friendly people that made climbing fun for the kids. Rain changed our plans for the day but this place was great. Good variety of courses and things to do.

It's a little gym attached to a sporting good store. Bouldering routes are set about 1 grade harder than most gyms these days. Everyone was friendly and seamed like a great place to learn how to climb. Lacking routes above V4 when I was there but they do have a Moonboard.

We did the beginner lesson for two adults and one teenager. Our guide, Dan, was fun and supportive for a bunch of newbies. We enjoyed it! Will be back.

Visiting from out of town and just did bouldering, not top rope. The pass is cheaper and you don't have to rent a harness. The staff were awesome and there were enough bouldering routes for a good session. The setting was definitely tougher than I'm used to in my home gym though and the wall was painted and glossy which also added difficulty.

This isn’t a climbing gym anymore, nowhere near what the photos are. If you want the classic 95% store with 5% wall, this is the place. They have <10 TR, zero leading, mostly 5.easy looking routes (despite the tag ratings). Didn’t climb here, wasn’t worth the time.

While on a family vacation, I took my 2 grandsons (ages 2 and 8) here to use the rock climbing gym. Karen was awesome! She was so patient and really explained things to them. They had a great time. The 8 year old said it was his favorite thing on the whole trip. My daughter and son-in-law also rented bikes and equipment to ride with their young children. They only rode a few minutes and had to go back to the shop because the kids were crying. The shop refunded their money. Everyone here was friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back on our next visit to Estes Park.

We went into this store probably 4 or 5 times in the 5 days we were in town. FL great customer service and prices. People even helped us set up a rig and looked at our own rod. Nice people and informative.

This is such an amazing shop! I've visited when in town and the staff is helpful and nice. I also placed an order for shipping (2 pairs of boots)..they shipped them so quickly, and they sent me a personal email to let me know that my order would be arriving in 2 separate boxes (just so I wouldn't worry if one came before the other). I am so impressed with their CS and highly recommend them!

My children had a wonderful climbing experience. One of my kids had never climbed before and was a little nervous. Austin was the climbing guide and helped both kids feel calm and excited about it. He explained everything that they should do in their climb and was so patient with them. We had an amazing experience and I wanted to recognize how helpful and knowledgeable Austin was. We highly recommend Estes Park Mountain Shop.

The knowledge, and down right truly happy to help you. And products that are real good quality. if not they are about the Only place in Estes that stands behind the purchase with outstanding customer service. I make sure even though I can't climb any more, I always stop by when in town to support there business. One of the true Customer Oriented places.....well, anywhere. I can't say enough good things. I have been using them since they first opened. When you would go in and ask for 1000 ft rope and they would have to check. Today, they keep those downstairs somewhere.

I was a little shocked on arrival to find the climbing space co-located within a gift/outdoor shop. The climbing area itself is modest and supplemented by a treadwall and moonboard. The boulder problems were difficult to read due to number of routes sharing a hold and the grading felt way off as I've consistently climbed 2-3 grades higher at almost all the gyms I've visited over Colorado.

Very small, merchandise is over priced and the routes are graded incorrectly.

Great place to climb all year round. Great place to practice rope skills with a partner. Great place to get instruction from.
