Me and my family live in Estes. I work as a registered nurse down in the valley, and my brakes needed to be replaced as well as the rotors and calibers. All totaled around 500.00. He “fixed and replaced” everything. A week later we took it back because it was still making noises. His response to us, “they’ll break in”. They never broke in.. 5 months later- my brakes were grinding so bad I couldn’t make it to work safely or drive safely with my 4 children. So, I took it to another mechanic here in town and he showed me the rotors that he had taken off, and said there was no way my rotors and calibers were Replaced 5 months ago.
Donnie ( the owner) is a crook and a thief. He put me and my family at risk, knowing he did not replace anything yet charged me for it. So it cost me a total of 1100 dollars. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Sorry posted twice .... We had issues in not one, but two trucks as we arrived at our campground in Estes Park, CO. We dropped both trucks off on Monday, after speaking with Don on the phone. We got them both back on Wednesday. Don kept good communication with us as he was making the repairs. He was very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. We'd highly recommend D&S Auto Repair is Estes Park!

Caveat: My personal experience and opinions. The owner of D&S Auto, of Estes Park, Colorado is an Idiot. Donny De Santi, (Owner of D&S Auto), changed out the fuel pump in my 2004 jeep wrangler. Shortly afterwards I began to smell gasoline. I ignored the issue thinking that it was just an anomaly. Then it became much worse. I towed it to another mechanic who then removed the fuel tank and he found that the filler neck had been broken off and then GLUED back on. I was never told about this condition, which could have killed me, my wife, grandchildren etc... I AM WARNING / WARNING YOU. DO NOT / DO NOT LET THIS IDIOT ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR VEHICLE(S). HE WILL GET YOU KILLED.

I stopped by this out of the way (and possibly easy to miss because it is at the back of the building) because I could smell a slight burning scent. The gentleman in the shop graciously took a quick look and let me know it was just some dirt and was safe to drive back down the mountains. If I needed work on my car, I would definitely recommend this great out of the way shop.
