It’s a terrible process to deal with our beloved pets getting sick. They love us unconditionally and all of our love in return can’t tell us what ails them. It’s hard to see them suffer, deal with the cost & even diagnose as a professional.
As a quick aside: GET PET INSURANCE!! Having coverage has save me almost $50,000 through the last 4 years at the cool price of $70/month!
My sweet pup has IMHA which almost took his life 2 years ago and it was thanks to Dr Timian and her amazing team that he’s still here and (usually) thriving. I would give them 10 stars if I could! They’re compassionate, thorough and invested in the lives of their patients & families. We’ve had many issues since his original diagnosis and VRCC has had the resources to get him healthy. This is the place you want to be when your pets care gets serious!

I brought my doggie here for emergency care and unfortunately had to euthanize her. The staff was amazing with the process. Kelly at the front desk was a sweetheart during the whole experience, she even came back to say goodbye to my baby and offered her condolences before she was put down. Dr Van Pelt administered the euthanasia and did an amazing job of keeping me updated throughout my dog’s stay, and also when it came time to figure out next steps for her care. She explained everything I needed to understand my options and was extremely empathetic and let me take as much time as I needed to process and be with my baby. Overall it was a sucky experience but they really have it dialed in and I’m really thankful my last few days and moments with my baby were so well respected.

Many pets owners know the feelings of fear and dread they experience walking into a veterinary hospital emergency room. We have had that experience too many times to count, and once again at 6:00 this morning. At VRCC in Englewood we saw Dr. Han, who did her best to identify and treat Gigi for pain from an unknown source. Dr. Han was very knowledgeable and efficient. She was an excellent listener, who made the experience less stressful and fostered confidence in her opinions regarding Gigi’s issues. We are most appreciative of her care and kindness.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. THE SEQUEL.
I just received a call from a VRCC Senior Director, not because I asked or even wanted to be called, but because she wanted to correct me (read as reprimand, because she was rude and unprofessional). She didn't even pretend to be considerate in any capacity, such as saying that she was sorry for my pet's passing. She went straight to "addressing my concerns" by explaining how I do not understand the organizational structure of VRCC's staff and the protocols in place for overnight vet care, and how there is a shortage of critical care vets in the Denver area, and the importance of their staff adhering to the medical parameters, and, and, and, whenever I tried to speak simply as a pet owner, she shut me down. She kept interrupting and talking over me, and just refused to listen. She confirmed that their staff sets overnight medical parameters that remained fixed from 7pm - 7am, despite any questions, concerns or directives from a pet owner...unless the pet owner drives to their facility to try to maybe, hopefully, possibly speak with an ER vet who maybe, hopefully, possibly might be willing to override the parameters.
I asked how that policy is fair to pet owners who cannot afford the cost 12+ hours of "critical care", while they wait to speak with the daytime staff, and she responded that they have payment plans. Then she proceeded to continue talking over me.
Wow, there are SO many things wrong with this phone call starting with why she felt it was appropriate to reach out to me to be rude and unprofessional, but it certainly explains the complete lack of compassion and consideration of the pet owner at VRCC. It starts at the top.
My terrier had sudden onset acute respiratory distress and was transferred to VRCC from another practice, because she needed a cardiology assessment. She was admitted to VRCC's ICU for 24-hour "critical care" and put into an oxygen cage. She was under VRCC care for 28 hours, before they even assessed whether her lungs were getting any worse, even when it was boldly obvious that she was rapidly declining and her chest was filling with fluid. By that point, her kidneys were also failing. For 28 hours, they had sedated her and stood by watching her decline and suffer. When I visited her, I knew immediately that she was suffering and her chest was swollen, but they refused to allow me to speak to their overnight vet, because they do not provide overnight, inpatient veterinary critical care. This is my sweet Terrier who was left to suffer in a cage for 12+ hours, because VRCC's policy says that their medical parameters overrule pet owners from 7pm - 7am.

We had to say goodbye to our beloved cat and Dr Sunshine and the entire staff were there for us in our time of grief and sadness. They gave us the options and prognosis and everything we needed to make the right decision at the right time even though it was so very difficult for us.

I have been reading these posts to find a good place to bring my pup. I must say whoever is in marketing reading and responding to clients posts, PLEASE CHECK WITH THE FACILITY!!! Several families have named a DR. PATEL so there MUST BE A DR PATEL!! Or Simone saying they are Dr Patel.
I’ve had to say goodbye to several pets here in Colorado. NEVER HAVE I EVER had ONE EXPERIENCE like these families are describing. This is horrible!!! Families please check with your personal vet who has taken care of your fur loved ones! If you don’t have one. I can suggest Heritage Veterinary. Compassionate caring loving and kind AND VERY SMART AT WHAT THEY DO!
To this place, PATEL DO BETTER!!!!! This kind of treatment is really unacceptable when families are already heartbroken because of having to say goodbye to A FAMILY MEMBER.
Thanks for reading!?
Marketing I don’t need to call you to discuss this so no need to leave a message. Just please do better!?

Staff is patient and caring. My little baby (dog) was attacked by a large breed dog. They did a fantastic job taking care of him. Thank you VRCC.

Initially it was believed our pup had a gastrointestinal issue. Full disclosure - my review is subjective and based on the overall "feeling" of our experience, which was unpleasant. Not by the doctor but by a few of the techs and front desk staff. We were very worried about our dog and I think the idea that he just had to poop made our case seem unimportant. But really, in a place like VRCC, ALL patients should be made to feel welcome, important, cared about, and listened to and that simply didn't happen.
I showed one tech the video of our dog screaming. The same video that had our family vet telling us to go back a second time to the ER because of how extreme he was acting. The tech barely glanced at it and then told me "we'll, yes, he's going to feel some discomfort". Wow.
We left and ended up taking him to a different ER where we were treated with compassion and respect by everyone and our dog was diagnosed with a spinal issue.
More of the VRCC staff were kind than not, but it only took the attitudes and lack of empathy from a few to leave us with a bad taste. I won't ever take another animal to VRCC.

They expect you to pay thousands of dollars (which I did) and once you do it they don’t care about any follow up or communication. No compassion for animals.

Dr. groth, Veronica and the “manager” Bailey or whatever are all no help and only care about the money. Don’t waste your time coming here.

All they care about is the money. Don’t go to Dr. Groth. If you care about your pet don’t waste your time in this facility.
