Having lived in Kent for the past seven years, we can confidently say that the recent management change has made a significant difference. The Sequoia Group brings a refreshing approach, prioritizing resident concerns and promotes a sense of community.
Communication has improved, maintenance requests are handled promptly and professionally, in our case by Charlie and there’s a renewed focus on creating a welcoming environment. We genuinely feel heard and valued, making our living experience much more enjoyable.
Thank you for making our home a better place!

When I was visiting a friend in englewood I stayed at Kent place residences. My guests suite was perfect had everything I needed. Everything was clean working great and the gentleman helping me throughout my stay was amazing. Andy was his name, told me all the good places near by and about all the amenities too. Great place and staff. Would recommend to anyone in the area

DO NOT MOVE HERE! They take forever to fix anything and everything is always in need of maintenance. The first floor door has been “currently closed” for over a week, coffee machine is in need of maintenance once a week, and their printer has still not been fixed. For the amount you pay, go somewhere else!

While it’s only been six weeks since new ownership and management (The Sequoia Group) took over (September 3rd), I’m optimistic about what I’ve seen so far. They handled the transition smoothly, bringing in lots of management and staff from other properties to help, and I noticed an immediate improvement in the cleanliness of the common areas. It was also nice to have staff on-site to answer questions and address tenant concerns, which hasn’t always been the case in the past.
Their communication has been good, and while there are still plenty of issues to fix (most of which they inherited), it’s clear they are making an effort to get things back on track. I appreciate that they seem committed to resolving these problems, and I look forward to seeing the results.
They also seem enthusiastic about organizing events and building community again.
Overall, while it’s still early, I feel hopeful about the direction they’re taking the building, and I’m excited to see how things continue to improve in the coming months.
Five stars for a very difficult property takeover!

One of the residents had reserved and paid for one of the common areas for a wedding, however security shut it down and made the whole event move, which again it was reserved, as we were relocating everything we noticed a different group take over the area. Honestly we all feel that once it was acknowledged that it was a same sex wedding is when the issue happened because why else would it be shut down when the space was reserved and paid for, for a wedding? Personally I feel the reason it was shut down was discrimination and I really hope that our friend who lives there gets a 100% refund and is owed an apology. If that is how the new management wants to handle things then I wouldn't recommend that anyone live here, it's 2024 the world is different! All people should be free to love who they want and shouldn't have their special day ruined because of others personal beliefs

I lived in Kent Place as it was shifting management over to Greystar starting in Aug 2020 to 2022. At first, it was a great place to live because of its proximity to the King Sooper and the little shops right in front of it. I liked the little community of people that lived there and the amenities.
It was the apartment and management itself that were the issue, as stuff was constantly breaking. Starting in Aug 2020 (when we moved in), the AC unit in the main bathroom started leaking onto the floor. I put in a work order, someone came out to look at it within 2 weeks, tried to fix it but failed, and then left. This cycle of work orders and someone coming in to fix it happened SEVEN times over the course of a year. After the fourth attempt to fix it, they resorted to completely shutting off our AC and heating for months, leaving us with no AC in the summer and no heat in the winter. The last time I had an AC repair person come and look at it, he stated that the reason it was leaking was because the coils were getting so cold, that they were freezing, causing the AC to shut off and the coils to unfreeze and drip water into the drip pan. However, he stated that this much water was causing the drip pan to overflow, resulting in the leaks.
Fast forward a few months (still no AC/heat) and I had to submit another work order, unrelated to the AC unit, as I noticed a tile was cracked in my shower. I submitted a work order on 10/20/21 and had an entire crew, including repairmen and Greystar staff, that came into my bathroom, looked at the ceiling AC for approximately 2 minutes (not even at the shower), and left without giving me any information. I assumed this was because of the work order I put in the day before. A month and a half later, construction began on my bathroom, including half of the walls and the toilet (which was on the opposite side of the room from the shower, by about 3 or 4 feet), being removed (all for one cracked tile?). Essentially, the entire bathroom was remodeled. After the bathroom was finished, I received a bill from them for $9,436 for the bathroom "repairs", stating that the bill was for damages I had done to the bathroom. The amount of construction done on my bathroom could not have been done by a crack in the shower wall, but rather, it was likely due to the water dripping from the AC unit overflowing and down the walls.
When I reached out to resolve this issue, they stated that I did not send in a work order for the tile (despite my having a record of doing so) and that they found the cracked tile during a bi-annual inspection (but again, if it was an inspection of the entire apartment, why did they walk past every other room and go straight to my bathroom and leave without looking at anything else?).
I stated that I would not be paying that amount until after I heard back from my renters insurance team. My insurance team responded, stating that I was not to be held liable for the damages due to the lengthy record of all of my work orders and emails showing that I did report the water issue multiple times. Because of this, Greystar dropped all of the fees, as the next option would have been to take them to court with my renter's insurance representing me. During this time, they were taking my rent payments and rewiring them to go towards the amount owed toward repairs. This caused it to look as if I was not paying rent, and they threatened to evict me for late payments. I contacted them and told them to stop transferring my payments, and thankfully it was fixed, 2 eviction notices later.
Then, near the end of our lease, they had the audacity to send an email asking why we were leaving! Long story short, avoid Greystar rentals at all cost. I have had friends and family have horrible experiences with them as well.
Initially I was going to leave this review as a one star with no description, but after hearing about the Leticia Farrer case with Greystar, I realized that staying

Spacious apartment layouts and wonderful cleaning and maintenance support. Synthetic scent fresheners are cranked to 11 in the common areas and elevators. If you are lured to this complex by access to a fully equipped gym, don’t bother. Even with the renovations, there is no ventilation in there. The fragrance dispensers create a noxious environment.

I want to thank Lane and the rest of the Kent Place maintenance team for being so diligent and helpful!! I couldn’t be more appreciative for the time and help Lane took to repair my air conditioner and replace an old washer. He promised it would be done when I returned from my trip and it certainly was! Thank you!!!!
