Awful costumer service. Very rude! Would not recommend! They have a 2.3 start for a reason.

Do not go here if you’re a life insurance agent new or experienced. I have been in the life and health industry for quite some time. This is the first company I’ve come across with this many scam tendencies. The leads are not real time, they are old. If you see a company with this bad of rating please don’t hesitate to hesitate.

After receiving years of unwanted texts/calls/emails from State Farm, one agent I requested never call me again, Rebecca Burgin, let me know it is hometown quotes that she buys her cold calling data from. She is under the impression that people actually sign a form consenting to be relentlessly contacted by insurance salespeople??? Or at least that's what hometown quotes tells their clients. Don't buy data from them, they are illegal data harvesters. You might aggravate the wrong litigious victim one day who will wage an internet war against your business and sue you.

Got on with a great 2 for 1 promotion, then when that was finished, I ended up spending $1200 on leads, not to mention the time working them and following up, and not one lead was closed. I had many leads that did not realize agents would be calling. I also had many that claimed homeownership, but were renting (which is a higher priced lead). Also had the majority of the leads say that had higher limits of liability when in reality they had state minimum. Had one customer curse me out and call me a spammer (LOL). Definitely not getting what I paid for. When I tried to call Hometown to share the experience. Rather than try to offer some free leads or some kind of money-back experience to at least rectify the fact that I did not get what I had paid for, they just closed the account and said sorry for your bad experience. Buyer beware!

Shared my information with third party providers. I have never even used their website or services. How is this legal?

We are so quick to condemn and slow to praise, but with HOMETOWN QUOTES, I absolutely want to praise and acknowledge their dedication, the customer service team is superior to practically ANY other service.Queue are short for customer service, when you are speaking with a rep they are empathetic, try to understand the issue and offer suggestions. They are quick to escalate questions or concerns to management to provide immediate solutions and support. This is amazingly not a one-off either, I have had this service for a short while and have used the customer support system multiple times, for inquiries, advice, suggestions, etc. EVERY customer service rep has been wonderful to work with. Now, I have also spoken with the sales side of this service, and in particular a gentleman, Gary Prewitt - my goodness, he takes that exceptional service to heart. He has been a beacon and has recommended best practices, helped with CTA, he has followed up on his personal time for a query I had. This is the pillar to which all sales services should be measured. Now I say all that and I haven't even begun to praise the actual service, ability to exchange dead leads *within a time window, and ability to filter the lead types and specifics - this is beyond valuable. Leads aren't distributed or resold - just, wow. I only wish I had known about this service sooner.Sheepishly, I haven't referred this magic platform to colleagues (yet) and have been hoarding the water of the desert.

I've used Hometown Quotes for the past 3 years with a major insurance company. I've also used other lead companies during that time. Out of all the companies used, Hometown provided me the most opportunities to close sales. Did I sometimes receive leads that were bad? Of course I did, that's just part of the game and Hometown provided credit majority of the time. All the info Hometown sends is extremely valuable to me. If I can't reach a customer or close the sale, I keep following up every 3-6 months which is the name of the game. Hometown will do their part, the rest is up to you to close the sale. I started a new agency recently with another company and will only go with Hometown quotes.

Do not use them for leads. They lie to get you to buy in and then when you have issues refuse to resolve them. They are very shady about how they obtain their information. Literally $100's of dollars and countless hours wasted.

Tried them once. I had family call to see if they (meaning family - but Hometown didn't know they were my family) would be routed to my agency. Guess what! They WERE NOT! Spoke to a Hometown manager several times and got the BIGGEST round around there ever it.SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME AND DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Hometown

Terrible provider. When we were able to contact the leads provided they had no interest and would question where we received their information. Do not recommend.

This is a SCAM. The sales rep talked a good game, but not a single one of the leads worked out, not a single lead answered a phone or responded to a text, for all I know they were just bots. Then when I called in it took forever to get ahold of anyone, even my sales rep didn't respond. When I finally did talk to customer service, they were very much so say its not my problem that the leads are trash. The person on the phone seemed like they wanted nothing to do with us and did not care that we were unhappy. This was and is a SCAM

This is one of the worst lead generation companies I have worked with. I received 20 leads which never fruitated into any closed business. The leads are duplicates, recycled leads or from individuals not looking for insurance at all. This company does not scrub leads as they tell you in the sales pitch.
They denied the three refund requests I made for leads that had disconnected numbers, duplicate leads and a lead I had received from a different lead generation company. Once I cancelled the managements attitude was that of no empathy, or accountability. They denied even providing detailed accounting of all charges.
I would not recommend this company, they are over priced for the unreliable leads they send.
