New to the sport, so don't know a whole lot, but I had a great experience buying from this store. They helped me tune it and sight it in for 20 yards, even showed me a proper anchor and shot. I bought the new 2024 darton consequence(love it) and got out the door for 1 grand ready to shoot.

NOT WELCOMING TO NEWCOMERS TO THE HOBBY!YOU'RE BETTER OFF BUYING A BOW AND ARROWS AND PRACTICING IN YOUR BACK YARD OR FIELD SOMEWHEREUpon entering with my son I was not even greeted but stared down by an old man behind the counter. (I think the same old man mentioned bellow) I proceeded to approach him and I muster up "hey I'm new to the hobby and am wondering how to find out if I like it or not." The old man yelled around the corner, "Brandon!! We got you another one." That was very unwelcoming and slightly embarrassing. This made me feel like a burden for walking in.Brandon was nice but really discouraged me from perusing a compound bow in the hobby. He said they only rent out recurve. Which was expected. I read that much online. But when I asked how someone explores compound bows to get into the hunting hobby he said, " ohh those compound bows to set you up in the hobby can run you $1000. Then you need the sight and draw back trigger (I don't remember the proper name) and those pieces can be up to $1000 each." I'm really wondering what I'm doing here right now. I asked, "so do people just buy an expensive compound bow and decide if they like it then?" Brandon said, "yea pretty much. Do you want to rent the lane?" I said "No I was really interested in learning more about compound shooting. I should just head out. I want to do more research. Are other archery shops around?" I asked. He said, "yes but this is the only shop that specializes in adjustments on compound bows." I sat down and watched some archers. After watching some of the other guys shoot, I walk up to a different employee, working on a bow, and I asked, "you must be the bow expert haha. if I wanted to get into the hobby of hunting what compound bow would you refer me to?" He said, "well that depends on your draw back and the price you're comfortable with. Do you know your draw back length?" I said, " No. I just told you I'm new to the hobby." He said, "I'm actually working on this bow now so once I'm finished I can help you." I said, "oh I'm not going to buy anything I was just hoping you could give me some type of information that I could take home to do some research. I hope you have a good day."I then just walked out.The whole staff had this pretentious demeanor.Maybe I came to the wrong shop and asked the wrong questions. I was just hoping they'd break the compound bows down into brands and prices and types of hunting. I can find this information online on my own. I thought I was coming to experts for advice and direction.I would return but I will not because I'm afraid they'll treat me even more poorly after seeing this. But it was a very unwelcoming visit.

Overall an excellent place for archery. I took lessons there a few years back, and I found their teaching method to be simple yet effective. Through them, my skill with a bow was heightened. The owner and staff are friendly and take pride in their work. If not for them, my arrow fletches would have been nonexistent. If you enjoy indoor archery ranges, are looking for lessons, trying to find something to do out of boredom, trying to become Legolas, and/or another reason, I recommend you venture to this place.

First time in and had the best experience. I was so nervous because I just normally shoot my bow outdoors whenever the boys want to go shoot. They were so kind to help guide me and give me a lesson on how to properly shoot my recurve bow. Everyone is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable & I felt comfortable. I really appreciated the one on one time spent with my friend Chelsea and myself. Thanks for everything & for giving us confidence! See you again next time! ?

Took my 15 year old Matthew’s in today for a tune. They hooked me up with new arrows and got the bow shooting great. They are awesome. I would highly recommend Bear Creek Archery.

Went in recently for the first time to get my daughters new bow set up, and we, were fortunate to be assisted by Campbell. He was very patient, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations to get her shooting better and more comfortably. She was encouraged to see individuals of all skill levels shooting on the range, and interacted with other members of the staff while her bow was being worked on, all of whom were very accommodating. The shop labor we were charged for the few items we purchased was less than what I expected, and the prices for those items was right in line with all of the big box sporting goods retailers. Excellent shop, with great people!

Pretty new to archery and went in to get my D-Loop replaced the week before hunting. Turns out I needed new serving as well. Dave and his team spent the next hour working with me on the range to make sure we got everything dialed back in and provided a lot of helpful tips. These guys went above and beyond to make sure everything is good to go. Awesome shop, range, service, and extremely helpful owner and staff. Highly recommend!

Went into this shop to have my bow tuned and set up with an arrow build.. Was helped by a younger gentleman who took my bow to the paper and after shooting a few times told me its already tuned good. I noticed the stablizer wasnt on at the time and he shrugged it off saying it wouldnt make a difference. He suggested broadheads and arrows for me without ever asking what I was hunting, then asked this question after he had cut my arrows already. I was kinda leaning towards purchasing Easton arrows but this just led to him copying the same arrow build I had got off craiglist with my bow, rather then educating me a little on the difference between weights or even describing what things meant. I showed up 45 mins before closing but people were there well after me, I still bought the arrows and spent money here. I have nothing against this shop but I think everyone would agree your bow should be tuned the way you're hunting.

Luke helped me get started and interested in archery. First time shooting and he set me up in five minutes and gave me some quick tips. I was there about two hours and got to shoot as much as I wanted with Luke checking in and being patient with a brand new shooter. Great environment for folks that have no idea what they're doing and are open to learning.

I love the folks at Bear Creek Archery! The guys are super helpful, especially to newbies. I have gotten into shooting barebow lately and they helped set me up, tune my bow, and get me paired with the right arrows. I had them make me a couple strings after a recommendation from my coach and they turned out beautifully. The staff goes above and beyond and are always friendly. Their reputation of being great is obvious because they can get very busy so make sure you have some time to hang out and gab or be willing to drop your rig off for service.
