Used to be Bank of the West, used to be an amazing bank. Bought out by BMO and has been terrible ever since. Checks and balances won’t update for literal days no matter when you deposit. People are nice but if I could give negative stars to this company, I would. Worst bank you could have.

This is the WORST bank EVER! I’ve been with this bank LONG before it was BMO. It's NEVER been anywhere close to as bad as it is now.Their customer service skills are HORRIBLE! I have been calling the branch manager for a week now. They’re either “out” or “busy.” Yet, I’m told “They will call you back.” Never once have they called me back. It’s not their money, so I guess they could care less.The banker who answers the phone has no clue what she’s doing. When I explain what’s going on with my account and ask if she can assist me she just says “Ummm, ummm, ummm” over and over again. The banker clearly has no idea how to help with situations regarding bank accounts, but she, too, states she’ll check into things and call me back. Needless to say, I’ve never once received a return phone call. It’s really quite frustrating.I finally gave up and called the 1-800 number to get everything sorted out. Although, things did finally get taken care of, calling the 1-800 number was a long daunting process as well.Furthermore, a hacker was phishing in my account back in October (soon after my previous bank switched to the BMO name). Did BMO catch it? No, they did not. I did. It’s a good thing I check my bank account EARLY in the mornings on a daily basis. I had to go into the bank and get a new debit card. Luckily, I saw the “signs” of phishing and immediately shut my card down or my bank account likely would have been drained in a matter of hours.Do yourself a favor, steer FAR AWAY from BMO. Trust me, they’re horrible! It’s unfortunate how far downhill this bank has gone in the three decades I’ve been with them (and three bank name changes later).

NEW BMO SUCKS!!! Went to get a cashiers check like I do every month. Get told at the window I have to go inside for a stupid reason. (Never had to before) I go in and the sweet curly haired girl is struggling to see the error.Then out of know where this long blonde haired Karen employee puts her two cents in with major attitude telling me my account is closed. After she continued to hear herself talk I was told to wait for the “manager”. After waiting 20min I knocked on her office door just to be told they had to “call me later” to tell me what’s wrong. After a week they still haven’t called. Don’t bank here they’re awful!

The new change is as bad as I expected. I called, said online site is telling me there is "missing info" after asking my account and SS number, so I'm pretty concerned about that. She said she'd help on the phone and then is trying to get me to come into the bank for some reason, like I'll be giving different info than what I just gave her! Sheesh, I guess I have to open a new account elsewhere. Thanks a lot.I just called and asked why I should have to come in to the branch was told, "for security purposes". So everything they said in the email on this change over was all incorrect and they said nothing about this before, that I'd have to go in and basically open a new account anyway.

If I could give less than 1 star, I would.I've been a customer at this location for over 2 decades. I used to know everyone in the bank by name, but the staff here changes out every few months now. All the new employees are lazy & rude, even the manager. I had a real problem recently and I was blown off by the assistant manager & the manager. I had to keep calling to have the issue corrected. In a different instance, I tried to deposit money into a family member's account, like I had done for years, using their full name / branch location & last 4 numbers of their account, but the new staff members here refused to let me put that money into their bank.I used to know everyone here by name and them me. They'd say hello to me before I'd even reach the counter. When people know your name, you know that they care. That made it feel like a personalized banking experience. Now it feels like a cheap meat market. A few employees asked me to switch the type of account I had and when I asked what the difference would be, NO ONE that offered the option to me could explain it. They would just say, it won't be any different. If it wouldn't be any different, no benefit to the switch, why would I want to change? That made me realize the employees were not looking out for my interests, they were trying trying to "up" their numbers at my expense.I'm really tired of this kind of service. I'll be looking for a different bank.

STILL WAITING IN LINE. This is the worst bank I’ve ever had to use. I must pay my rent using this bank and never, ever, would I choose to open an account or make others use this bank.

I've banked here for 7 years and the bank off of 38th ave the lobby is never open only drive through so I decided to go to the bank off 215 south wads. tried to deposit a check and they want to hold it for 7 to 10 days the teller was rude and unprofessional once my check clears I'm closing my account and going to a good bank. I would not recommend this bank to anyone ever.

This is the worst Bank ever I only have almost 3 months with them and I'm going today to close down my account it's the worst they charge so many fees Huntington bank is way better I wouldn't even give Bank of the West but I had a pick one

Why is the lobby STILL not open? Doing a deposit takes 40 minutes in the drive thru even after being the first car! If you try and contact the teller they don’t answer. Yet the car that just pulled up next to me is leaving right behind me. We can do better

Jessica a front rep is extremely rude!- I had some legal documents notarized and the employee is no longer there, she was completely disrespectful and didn’t help whatsoever.

My advice as being a previous Bank Manager....is to not walk but RUN from this bank. They do everything they can to find reasons to fee you..in this day and age we need all the help and breaks we can get and the system they have in place is set up to fail you....so they can fee you.

This bank is honestly nothing more than selfish thieves who really don't care to actually help or assist you and will just slap you with fees and refuse you any help when you are already struggling through life so if you want a bank that's going to treat you well and like family look elsewhere

We had excellent customer service here from teller, Brianda and her lead, they took time to make sure our transactions were done correctly on 12/9 and we appreciate it! We will absolutely continue banking here!

The customer service is non existant. The manager was extremely unknowledgeable about basic operations. Very rude representatives. They were decieving and possessed very little information and resolve in response to simple account concerns. They provided proven false information regarding account issues and promotional questions, and were decieving. A very unprofessional banking experience. I would rather have my five year old grand daughter look after my finances.
