Find a CPA somewhere else, they don't communicate, can't return phone calls, overcharge, and quite frankly I am unsure what they actually do. Still have yet to get proper contact from them. But they are fast to send a bill with no reply. I genuinely hope this isn't the case for everyone but it appears the reviews speak for themselves. Very disappointed.

Horrible! I asked for an extension, they failed to file it with the IRS, then their employee retired and I was left with a $2600 loss because of their mistake. They asked for authorization to approach the IRS for a waiver, I granted them authorization, the IRS denied their request and they have failed to reimburse me. Look elsewhere, these guys are incompetent and unprofessional.

To many problems with their work product (mistakes on personal Colorado tax return, failure to send corp 1099s) and combative personnel who treated me rudely. They acquired my former accounting firm, and replaced the direct relationship I had with an impersonal, arms length and expensive one. I think they tried to swallow a bunch of independent accountants and failed miserably at integrating them. Very glad to be done with them.

Kristy M is pretty unprofessional. Looking at reviews of this company and it's locations, she is in good company.

The tax return this CPA company did for me was a calamity of errors. First, three weeks after I met with them and provided my documents they still had not even started my return. They didn't begin until I called to follow up. Secondly, once my return was done and I had paid state and federal, I realized something was wrong. After I dug through the return, I found where a document, showing a substantial amount of income was overlooked. This was partly my error as I had not included the 1099, only a payment receipt that included all pertinent information. HOWEVER, I'd also listed this income on the summary sheet this CPA company had me fill out, so the preparer should have noticed it and questioned it. The one good thing is they did the amended, state and federal, returns at no cost (although I'd already paid over $800 for the original return). Lastly, I got a surprise in my mail in the form of a refund. Colorado sent me back almost all I'd paid them as a result of the amended return. After a lengthy phone call, I learned that somehow, someone had simply not written in the correct amount I owed on the payment instruction letter from the CPA. The figure they had written in was over $5,000 more than it should have been. Bottom line: a CPA should have much better attention to detail, should be more upfront on delays in completing returns, and should be more accurate. AVOID THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU JUST LOVE THE CHALLENGE OF GOING THROUGH YOUR RETURN TO FIND THEIR ERRORS.

This company did my taxes for 2 years. They got the job done, but I wasn't satisfied with the service. I have two businesses and I don't feel they helped me develop a tax plan that would optimize my companies funds. I feel like I could have gotten the same service at H&R block for far less. My biggest complaint was their constant nickel and diming. Every time I turned around I had another invoice. The worst part was the invoices didn't even say what I was being charged for. I asked multiple times for them to itemize their invoices, so I could see what I was being charged for. It was like pulling teeth. I finally got them to itemize my last invoice and there were charges that didn't make since and in my opinion didn't represent the product I received.

WHAT A HEADACHE. Why did I pay $750 to these people to prepare my taxes when I needed to do so much of the work myself, AND I still need to deal with the IRS because of their mistakes?Their initial preparation was incorrect. I had to tell them to adjust the cost basis for stock purchases and sales, which is something I'd expect a "professional" tax preparer to know how to do. Their error would have cost me over $2000 in overpayment, if I hadn't caught it.They also miscalculated how much estimated tax I paid, which is surprising, since there's only 4 numbers to add for that calculation. I actually received a letter from the IRS informing me that the amounts listed on my return did not match their records.

Atlas firms is amazing. Oleg and his team have handled my taxes for years now and have been nothing but professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly helpful. They are incredibly responsive and are on top of making sure all your bases are covered. I would recommend if you're looking for your taxes done look no farther than Atlas.

We went to this firm to help with our 2020 taxes as we wanted a professional to look over our taxes to make sure we were pursing the best tax strategy for our particular situation. We were quite disappointed by the service we received from Atlas. They did not take the time when we were being onboarded to hear and answer our particular questions, but rather just plowed through preparing our returns in a way that was not consistent with our needs (we needed to file separately and they put together a joint return). We then had a conversation with them and explained why what they put together wouldn't work for our situation, requiring them to have to completely redo our taxes, causing further delay and expense. Only after the filing was complete did we have some semblance of a conversation regarding the tax advice that we originally came to this firm for, and only then to be told that they did not really have much advice to offer. We feel like it was a waste of over $1000 to use their services, particularly for them to mess up the return requiring an amendment that resulted in not getting our return for over a year.

The company and its predecessor, Accounting for Success, have been our accountants since 2002. They were and are a perfect match for our sometimes crazy entrepreneurial mindset, navigating us through arbitrary tax laws and providing us peace of mind. Smart, competent, honest, great communicators, good-humored (which matches our style), and willing to go the extra mile.

For a employer to release HIPA information about former employees is reprehensible. Is this type of behavior typical of a company who says they are ethical and professional who you want doing your taxes?
