Worst experience of my life! New in town so took a locals friend word and tried them out. First visit was for cut and color and he/she did a terrible job at cutting my hair and then dyed my hair a light blue. Begged me to come back a few days later and he would fix it and turned it purple. Refused to give me my money back but wanted to keep trying on my hair. I couldn't Even fathom letting him touch my hair again! So Im out $150 and in much worse shape than when I went there. David has no clue what he is doing! Don't go there if you have any love for your looks at all! I'm absolutely devastated!

Never again. David cut my husband and sons hair. Not only did he run 20 minutes late but he rushed through their scheduled 30 minute appointments and finished them both in less than 30 minutes. Their neckline looks awful, I could have just done this myself and did a better job and saved money. It's too long, not faded correctly. All we want is a cowboy/military cut. Not a big ask, shouldn't be difficult. Now I have to re-do their necklines so it doesn't look like they both have a mini mullet. I called to ask about getting it fixed. He said he couldn't get to them today (315 pm so not late) and he could get them in Monday. I told him my husband works and my son is in school and asked how he would like for me to get them in around those two things. He seemed absolutely confused and perplexed that my husband is gainfully employed and my 11 year old son a full time student. I then asked for a refund and he said he doesn't do refunds because he already put the time in. I said, "no, actually you didn't. You ran 20 minutes late and rushed them both in 30 minutes time for an hour of scheduled appointments." Again with the confusion. Never again. Don't go there. Thank God I didn't go in for a haircut myself! I can only imagine! It's no wonder they have no online portfolio; nothing to showcase.Services: Kids' cuts

Honestly the worst haircut I’ve ever had. It took a couple years to grow it out. For a long time it was a struggle to go out. Friends commented on how short and unflattering the cut was. I had gone in to get a trim and shape up but came home with a very short and choppy cut. Having natural curl, which was discussed, made the cut look even shorter and difficult to style. Granted it was in 2020 and perhaps staffing was an issue, nevertheless I was left with a bad haircut that I’ll never forget. Hopefully it was just bad luck as I remember the stylist saying she was new. I support small businesses and clearly Sizzor Magic has many excellent reviews.

I recently moved to Elizabeth and was looking for a local salon. I called Scissor Magic and Linda happened to have an available time to cut my hair. I booked a hair color for a few weeks later. Fast forward to my hair color appointment - same color as I had was used - all went well except for the front of the head where the color took more than in the back. Linda knew that it was not the look I was going for and she fit me in the next day to fix this. Between her experience with color and her determination and concern to make the color the same in the front as in the back she fixed this. What I want to say is that she is kind and caring and goes over and above to make sure you are happy and satisfied. This makes a very happy customer who appreciates Linda and all she did to make it right.
