While researching salons in Durango I came across Velvet Monkey and I'm sure glad I did. With 5 stars across the board they deserved every singe one of them plus some. Lisa Marie is a magician ... in no time my drab, dragged down look was transformed into one of spunk and sass. The BEST haircut I’ve EVER had, in my nearly half decade of life, that’s saying a lot! LisaMarie has expert technique and took me from boring long locks to a fabulously textured bob. My hair is fine and thin and she was able to create volume and texture without leaving me looking thin and stringy. Mad skills! My only regret is I didn’t find her sooner!

I've been going to Lisa Marie at Velvet Monkey for 6 years now and have loved my experience. Lisa Marie does amazing work, my hair is thick and difficult for most people to work with, but thankfully Lisa Marie is so skilled and professional! I always enjoy my time at Velvet Monkey and am thankful to Lisa Marie, Elise, Vivian and Haley for making my experience there something I always look forward to!
