She LOVES it there, and we BOTH love the care and attention the staff give her (Alex, Alisha, Asha, Emily, Hannah, Joseph, Reyna, Sarah, etc). DPR is our "Forever Place" for boarding and play time with Friends!

We were from out of town and passing through Durango on our way from Oregon back to Pittsburgh, PA. As we were walking through town after hiking, Rosco started drinking water from a bowl outside of one of the gift shops. He started drinking way too fast but by the time we pulled him away from the bowl it was too late. A couple minutes later he started showing symptoms of bloat. He was trying to vomit and nothing was coming out. He then got in a hunched over posture and looked “bloated”. We immediately drove over to Riverview Animal Hospital as it seemed like the highest ranked vet in the area off of my quick google search. I am so thankful we chose to come here. They were QUICK. Once was expressed our concern for his stomach flipping, they took him back for an X-ray IMMEDIATELY!! I knew the news was bad when Dr. Amy came out a few moments later and told us we needed the surgery now or that he would not make it. Not only were they great with Rosco but they were great with us as well. By the time we got that news we were emotionally pretty unwell. The surgery took a few hours and Rosco came out alive and well. Nearly 3 weeks later I’m writing this review. Rosco is 100% back to his normal energy filled self. I have nothing but gratitude for everyone here!! Dr. Amy is incredible and you can tell she is compassionate about what she does.

560 Sundance Cir, DurangoDr Heather is the best! I breed and show my dogs. They are a rare breed and I work hard to keep my older boy in great shape. I could not do it without Dr Heather. Recently he was very sore and he needed to breed a girl who was here from Phoenix. Dr Heather made time for us to come and after her acupuncture and laser he was once again acting like a youngster. 9 puppies born! Also when we had a 7 year old boy that had cancer, she kept him comfortable and was a huge help. Animas Animal is the best!! UPDATE!! My 3 year old girl has snored like a freight train since she was a baby. Her allergies have been awful. We've tried all sorts of western medicine but two days after taking some herbs prescribed by Dr. Heather, she no longer snores and is much happier. Another success story.

The room with all of the plants is amazing! The vet did her exams with them on the floor to make them more comfortable, and even had some catnip from her garden. They are also very efficient.

42 Co Rd 250 #200, DurangoCalled to get my dog spayed. They were booked for a couple weeks, and I passed off my situation as needing it sooner than later, which in my mind was accurate. But due to the thorough education the receptionist gave me, I was enlightened that it would be better to wait numerous weeks after the dog was past her first heat. She could have just been direct with her answer and that was it, but she inquired about what kind of dog it was, etc. Another place in town I called was just matter of fact, and almost rude as if this is what we recommend, and that's it. The size of the dog, the type of dog, none of it mattered. A red flag. This lady was very nice and patient with my questions. I'll definitely be taking my dog here when the time comes. The other 2 places I've dealt with in Durango I'd be wary of.

Centennial Center, 305 S Camino Del Rio ste o, DurangoDiane does a fantastic job of walking humans through the processes involved in training their dogs. Like with any class, the more homework you do, the more you and your dog will enjoy the class and grow with each other.
The facility is clean, and since it's inside Creature Comforts, my dog already loves going there.

We were hungry and this was our only choice without going all the way back to Durango. I wish I could open up a place like this near where I live. Great slider's and atmosphere. It was like camping out with the fire pits and corn hole going on. It seemed like a lot of locals were here. My mouth waters just thinking of those sliders.
