Twice I’ve been disappointed with this business. The first time I was asked to wait for ten minutes, there was a color process happening. Forty-five minutes later I left without ever seeing the haircutter. The second time I was told that they had a scheduling error and I could get a quick wash and a twenty minute cut rather than a regular wash and a thirty minute cut. I won’t be going back and I wouldn’t recommend this business to anyone.

Hello all, My mother went to Lemonhead salon in Durango today for a simple layered haircut and one inch trim on her waist length hair before my wedding next week but instead was screamed at by the unhinged owner and was send out the door in tears with basically a bob. She isn't the type to complain about these things either and tends to just tell hairstylists she loves the cut even if she doesn't. She called me earlier crying so hard I thought she was going to tell me someone in our family had died and explained that all she had done was to inhale a bit in surprise when she was turned around and saw that the entire front of her hair was cut to her ears. She even gave the owner a reference picture and explained she only wanted an inch or so trimmed off to get rid of the dead ends on her healthy hair. The woman proceeded to scream in her face "are you going to be a pain in my a*s??" and when she just shut down and didn't say anything in response she screamed that "there are a million f*cking hair salons in this town" and for her to get out. My mother started sobbing and begged any of the other hair stylists to fix it or even to dry her sopping wet hair before she left and they all refused and even started laughed in her face like mean girls. She never said an angry or questioning word to this woman and had just been chatting with her about being excited for the wedding and the plans coming up. Whatever you do, don't get your hair cut at Lemonhead Salon. The owner enjoys taking her frustrations out on her customers and will mistreat you or your loved ones no matter how polite you are.

So bummed to have to give 2 stars. The first haircut I got here was PERFECT. Wonderful layers for curly hair so I didn’t have a triangle head. Second haircut there with the same stylist and I will not return. I thought I had found my go to stylist! Honestly, I should’ve just left when she told me she wasn’t having a good day and wanted to just go home. That’s on me. But I showed her exact photos of my previous haircut and she came nowhere near it. Again, so bummed. Mostly because I have no clue where I’m going to go to fix it. I wish you could tape hair back on.

We started coming to Lemonheads to buy the Aveda shampoo , I experienced some horrible hair loss after getting covid 2 years ago, and was recommended the invati line, I’ve noticed a considerable difference in my hair, and have had less hair loss and breakage!
one day while I was in there buying more shampoo/conditioner I see a woman getting her hair beautifully crafted by Nate.
So I booked for myself and my fiance to come see Nate.
I had him cut 9” off my hair, it was super dead, and sad looking.
He did such an amazing job on both our hair, we just came again.
Dave had a cut, and I had another hydrating treatment, and got a lovely blowout and style.
Here we are, happy as ever we found such a great stylist ?
He’s also got great conversation and is a wonderful person to connect with

Lindsay is such a doll! I was bummed to hear that Tyler has moved onto other opportunities but I’m a creature of habit. Therefore, I have to stick with the Lemonheads crew and glad I booked with Lindsay :) She was so sweet and gave me exactly what I wanted. Always love the shop! Keep up the great work, ya’ll are amazing.

I showed Nate at Lemon Head Salon a picture of how I wanted my layers cut and he exceeded my expectations!!I've gotten so many compliments and couldn't be more happy with how my hair turned out! I'll be back and I'll continue to recommend Nate to all of my friends!! :))

Nate is a master at what he does, I have long, thick hair and he was able to perfect what I wanted done to it, which is a partial highlight and cut. I live a few hours away but Nate will be my go-to anytime I need my hair done, I am so happy with the outcome of my hair and wish I had a before and after for you all! Thanks again.

If you want professional and fabulous environment, this is the place ! Nate repaired, and colored my hair to near perfection ! He is super professional and super knowledgeable… I had a budget , a lot of wants and needs and he somehow met them all with enthusiasm and passion! I walk out each and everytime feeling like a celebrity! I will never go anywhere else for any of my hair needs - magic — that is the word I have in my head when it comes to this salon , staff and my stylist - Nate ! MAGIC

I came in for a second color/cut after removing dreadlocks I have had for almost 10 years. My hair was an absolute train wreck. The color I had tried fixing myself too and messed up bad. Nevermind that my hair was many many different lengths from trying to save a bit of it.
Tyler saved my hair without commenting on how bad it was. I think this was the most important thing. When you are coming back from a decade of dreads, it's a very hard/insecure time. My hair meant so much to me but it was time for it to go. I honestly haven't felt beautiful in a long time and it meant the world that he didn't comment, he just worked hard to fix it.
And fix it he did. My hair is beautiful now. For the first time it's all one length and the color is stunning. I even had to get up on stage in front of several thousand people last week and I felt proud and pretty standing up on stage.
I couldn't say more about this salon and Tyler's professionalism. I didn't tell him then, so I hope this message gets to you. I feel pretty for the first time since cutting off my dreads and it's such a beautiful gift you gave me
