I have unfortunately had several emergency situations with my Minature Yorkie. Dr. Lodahl was not my original pick for Harleigh because she is quite a bit further away than the vetinarian I had originally chosen. The first emergency I had Dr. Lodahl called me back very promptly whereas the other vetinarian didn't call me back for several hours. On another occasion when Harleigh had ingested pink fiberglass insulation, the other vet did call me back and advised me to give her Hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting and bring her in on Monday for an x-ray. It was a Saturday when this happened. Dr Lodahl called me a short time later and said I should bring Harleigh in for an immediate x-ray. Dr Lodahls home is right next to her facility so there was no waiting to see her. Her staff as well as Dr. Lodahl called me to check-in on how Harleigh was doing in the days after the incident. On another occasion Harleigh had eaten mushrooms while I was working on our property. I had Dr. Lodahls cellphone number already in my phone and she answered me immediately. She advised me what to do and I was able to take care of Harleigh without bringing her in. Once again Dr. Lodahl called me the next day to check-in on how Harleigh was doing. I am more than happy to drive the extra miles for the extraordinary amount of fast and personal care Dr. Lodahl has shown for Harleighs well being. I would highly recommend her to anyone that has a pet in their family. Thank you Dr. Lodahl for helping me help Harleigh during the most scary situations in our lives. If I could give you 100 stars I would ?❤️?

Excellent Veterinary Care- Dr. Lodahl and her staff are excellent, organized, and compassionate. Dr. Lodahl has a great depth of knowledge and experience. I have taken all 3 dogs to her for several years and will continue. So grateful.

Well I tried to get my dying cat in about a year ago and they denied me. I call to get an appointment for my dog and they have an emergency but was promised that they would get back to me asap. That was 4 hours ago and still nothing. I keep thinking this is a good place but keep getting disappointed every time I try so no more business from me or my family. I’ll go to Elk Park animal hospital in Pagosa Springs from now on.

No words can Express my gratitude for Dr. Clair here at Kindess Animal Hospital! She took extremely good care of My Cat Onyx Amun-Rah. Her and her team really do show love & and implement kindess to all Animals and Pet parents.
Decisions sometimes need to be quickly made when our pets are hurt or sick and as pet parents we may need a hug and support too.
Onyx Amun-Rah loves Tik Tok here in Bayou Queen Land & his followers and they are glad he is feeling better so they can see him.
If you are looking for love & Kindess from a vet and a good team to take care of your fur baby's then look no further. The best in the Durango & Bayfield and probably Farmington area as well. It's worth the drive!
The new clinic is very sterile and clean and just beautiful. It's waiting area is very spacious and full of really neat pictures and things to look at. Friendly staff, affordable compared to most vets in the area and prompt quick care and very attentive Dr & staff.
Dr Clair really put alot of love into this place and it's felt when you walk in and with her many years of experience as an amazing vet you can rest knowing your pets are in very good hands!

Dr. Claire and her entire team truly do personify KINDNESS. We had moved away a couple years ago but had always entrusted Kindness with the care of our sweet old dog who has since passed. We were traveling through Durango when our new dog became very ill. We called Kindness and the reception staff were incredibly caring and understanding. Dr. Claire took our pup that day at 5:00 after seeing a full day of patients, saying "I don't want her to suffer another day" and promptly treated her. We were so desperate, we probably would have paid three times what she charged, but she isn't like the corporate vets who price gouge and charge more than most people can afford. Dr. Clair Lodahl is fair, a talented vet, and most of all she is KIND.

The vet and the techs were all so kind. Everyone that worked there was so nice. After my cat injured his back, we were sent here by a friend. We thought he was going to pass away. The vet was kind but no-nonsense and ended up really working with us because we couldn’t afford a lot, so she was also very practical. She treated him and he started hobbling around whereas, he’d been stationary for a week. Incredible little place. I’d highly recommend them to anyone. Much cheaper than Farmington, also.

Very good and friendly staff! Excellent service, my dog has never been seen there and we had an emergency today all the other vet places in town wouldn't be able to see my dog until after a week or month! As soon as I called them, they picked up and we were able to come in the same day! Very Affordable. I will be making these guys my primary vet and can't thank them enough for being able to see my dog and I.

The staff at Kindness Animal Hospital went above and beyond to take care of our fur baby when no one else in the area would. They took us in and stayed open late to treat our puppy Alfie. The level of care and kindness is beyond measure. We are forever grateful to the Kindness team!
