We rented a car in Albuquerque that wouldnt start, leaving us stranded in Durango in the cold, after dark. We were in a bad situation arriving to the Durango desk, 5 minutes before close. Randy Patscheck went above and beyond to accommodate our situation both with dealing with corporate misunderstandings and our difficult circumstances. Very grateful for his help and excellent service.

On 1/9/24, we had a flight delay and arrived to the airport an hour after work hours and we were pleasantly surprised there was an employee waiting for us. He provided excellent customer service and was very friendly. We are very happy with the car provided and the process was smooth and quick, I highly recommend this Hertz to anyone.

This is a review for Hertz overall, not the agents in Durango. The car I was given had several issues, one of which was a safety issue. (The brake assist was malfunctioning. Not ideal.) I reported the issues to the return location in Boulder, but the agents there just gave me a phone number to call. When I called this number, I spoke to a woman who told me I should have reported my issues to the agents at the return location (ha!) or called Roadside Assistance. She said she couldn't help me. I asked to speak to someone who could, and she put me on what turned out to be an indefinite hold. I hung up and called back and was, thankfully, greeted by a man who actually did hear me and help me. I know our options for rental cars in Durango are limited, but if I had freedom of choice, I wouldn't go back to Hertz.

Ive been a gold member for quite a few years so i figured id get a little help when my plane arrived an hour early. Nope, the lady at the front desk made me wait the hour, even though the car was in the lot ready to be rented. The car is a great car, no issues with that.

This place is very professional and courteous. I rent from them several times a year. *Make a reservation ahead of time because this place is busy and they run out of cars frequently. Arrive early and be prepared to wait in line while they do their best.

The WORST customer service I’ve experienced. Called for 3 hours, to no avail. Everything is online, which doesn’t help while driving in and out of service.

This company is super dishonest! Do not rent from them!! Charged me $775 for a small crack in the windshield even though I paid insurance.

Randy at the Hertz counter in the Durango airport was AWESOME! He was patient and helped our Customer with a one-way rental to Texas when their vehicle left them stranded. Kudos to Randy! We will be using Hertz again.

Rented a car for 1 day on a Saturday. Returned it the next day Sunday (had it for about 21 hrs). Today is Wednesday and I am getting charged $100/day plus the $600 deposit plus the $72 for the actual day.I had to call numerous times to get results and I found out Hertz had employees working Sunday, Monday AND Tuesday yet were unable to return the car and continued to charge me. They don’t seem to have a problem with this policy either. This seems fraudulent.Recommendation:Rent from ANY OTHER car rental if you can. You’re at risk to get arrested with Hertz’ policies and how they conduct business (google it). (Last time I used Hertz, they scheduled me to return the car to a closed location.)Shame on me really.I will NEVER rent from Hertz again.

Reserved a car online, but went to pick it up and was told there were no cars! What is the point of even making a reservation?
