This was my first tool-library experience. I am a handyman from out of town and was working on a variety of projects this winter in Durango.The Durango Tool Library not only had all the tools that I needed for my projects, it was also a treat to visit and chat with Tenny every time I returned or checked-out a tool. They are truly passionate about what they do and clearly care about supporting their community!Whether you're doing DIY home improvement projects, giving your bike a little TLC, sewing custom aprons or making homemade waffles, the Durango Tool Library will set you up for success to complete the task.

The Durango Tool Library is a total asset to the community! They have most of the tools you will ever need and the catalog is growing every day. There is an online course catalog that is up-to-date with what is available at any given time. Tenny and Kathleen are some of the finest folks around and you'll be doing yourself a favor if you go in and pay them a visit.

The Durango Tool Library and owners are golden people with the best resource for tools, saws, even a portable power pack. Membership is easy and inexpensive, save on $$$ instead of buying tools.Durango Tool Library wants to lend a hand to local crafters who lack the tools they need to complete projects, whether it’s because of limited space, lack of money or someone is not comfortable spending hundreds of dollars for a tool that might get used only once.“Our mission is to provide tools and supporting resources through a sustainable and low-barrier service,” said Durango Tool Library co-founder Tenny Webster."A+++ Help with my wood cutting and tool needs to rebuild my camper van. Great spot to borrow tools! Terrific value for a membership vs renting tools. I checked out a pressure washer and didn't feel the sense of urgency to rush my work in order to return the item like I might have if I had rented this by the hour somewhere else. Instead it was like a borrowed book from a library - I had a solid week to return my item! Super friendly folks with a good inventory of ladders, power tools, bike tools, and even kitchen items. Definitely worth checking out their website to see their inventory. Why buy an expensive item for a one time job when you can borrow it?

Durango Tool Library is well-organized, with a good (and growing) collection of quality, clean tools. Great place to borrow tools for occasional projects, and membership is well worth the price. Tenny is very personable and helpful, and open to ideas for additional resources. A community gem!
