Wow I’m so not shocked by the one star reviews. I will not go into the full details as this pharmacy has already wasted enough of our time and energy. Why would you not have a number system? Why are you are you so rude and judge mental? One person out of three we dealt with was pleasant and all I was trying to do was get an RX for a toddler with an ear infection, and I could have driven to Farmington and back for all the trouble.

Dennis made my day by telling me the word of the day that I didn't know. He is always so friendly and cool. Truly A staple of the North Durango City Market.

I have been using this pharmacy for years and never had many problems before usually just the occasional times when they are out of stock of certain medications, but the other day I went to pick up my prescriptions and I had the lead pharmacist come talk to me (with a mouth full of food) and informed me that I was getting a partial refill on my medication and was getting all they had because they were no longer going to stock my medication because she believes I should be taking a different kind of medication even though me and my doctors office (who specialize in the field) have explained that I have adverse reactions to the medications she recommended. She treated me like I was some kind of drug seeker instead of a person with a disease that needs to be treated. So thank you for making me feel this way for the first time in 6 years.

I went into this store to buy some groceries today and as I was checking out I overhead a young person working in the checkout area complaining outloud about his job. I smiled to myself because it reminded me of a day when I was in the Army and on KP duty and I done exactly the same thing. Except in my case, the grizzled old Mess Seargant approached me and told me in no uncertain words that I had choosen to be there and I needed to suck it up and do my job. The best advice I was ever given! Hey young person, if you're that unhappy with your job go to the local Workforce Center and get some career counseling or find another job that's more to you liking. It does you no good to work at a job you don't like. You have your whole life in front of you to figure it out. It's all up to you my friend.

I've lived in the area for over 30 years and have enjoyed the North City Market store. However, today (8/30/23), things were so 'off' I had to comment. To be fair, the produce staff and the cashier were kind and helpful. However, unexpectedly, things went 'south' when I needed to get some roses for a dear friend who has suffered a recent loss. There was a stand of 'sale' roses by the pharmacy and I selected a nice bunch. The local store employee told me if I needed 'flower food' to pick some up in the floral department. I was looking over additional flowers and got the feeling the floral staff were observing me with more scrutiny than normal (I'm a senior citizen). I disregarded the bad 'vibes' I was getting and I asked the staffer if I could please have additional 'flower food'. She commented that all flowers come with a packet, but gave me 2 packets. I wanted a little extra to help my friend extend her flower life. I noticed a stand of roses nearly $2 cheaper near the floral department and chose to buy those instead. Imagine the shock and embarrassment I experienced when a different floral staff member (looking to be a management-type) actually 'hunted me down' at the check-out line and demanded I return the 2 extra floral packets. The other customers in line joined me in staring at her in disbelief. With a nasty glare, she actually reached into my basket and 'retrieved' the precious packets from the rose bouquet for my grieving friend. It seems petty; however, I think management would do well to provide employee staff development to improve customer courtesy. What in the world is going on? In other City Market stores, the floral department staff have been considerate, kind, and accommodating. What's going on at this location? No more shopping there!

Absolute worst pharmacy ever. The new checkout girl is very unhappy, and rude. Haven't seen her smile once. And more importantly, they run out of prescriptions all together, causing up to a week in lapsing of your meds. No apologies, no nothing, just oops. I strongly discourage you to use this pharmacy.

They always look like they’re in a bad mood and the experience is always just transactional and they’re always short with me.My medication was also requested to be refilled on 6/4 and I took my last pill today, 6/9. I called around 2 to ask for an update and they now tell me it’s out of stock. I had to call them to tell me it was out of stock. It’s been out of stock all week, yet they never called me and told me so I’d be able to change pharmacies in time to get my medication on time. They then ask for my phone number, that they already have because I receive messages from them, and told me they’d update it so this wouldn’t happen again. Even though they already have it.I would rather drive out of my way than pick up my medication from this city market

Been my pharmacy for years with good service; Changed and so have I. Twice, told the prescription would be ready after three the next day. After waiting in line, only to find it's not so, and told to come back later and it would be ready and the line is longer. Two windows to service customers, yet only one open? Quick to capture order, make promises but unable to deliver!

The pharmacy manager at this location is absolutely wonderful. He is knowledgeable, kind, and thorough. I have never experienced such good service at a pharmacy. I will definitely become a regular here!

Store is dirty. Old men working self service are so incredibly rude. I try to come in on wknds when I know they don't work. The women in the pharmacy are not much better.

Going through Durango to see what Telluride was all about. I decided to stop at this mart for Starbucks. Got my drink and was leaving. Got distracted by my phone and nearly tripped over a box of Cuties. I apologized to the employee that was restocking the fruits BUT it didn't stop him from telling me "watch out you c*ck sucking N-word" and I was in so much disbelief I walked out and ALMOST made it to my car but decided... I'm not gonna let him get away with that. Went back inside, got the managers attention, and the management team immediately handled the situation and their employee. Does he still work there? Idk but I got "compensated" with a $10 gift card as an apology... I didn't want it but I took it still because I just didn't know what else to do in that moment. I can tell by the female manager that she believed me and was just upset about it as I was but the male manager... the first thing he said was "he never received a complaint before..." but proceeded to get ahold of his employee (sorry I can't place names rn.. I was in shock still). As a Diné woman, I left feeling unsure about the area and about my safety. But thanks for the gift card, I guess.

Got both my covid shots here and the second one really stood out. Mike did the vaccination for me and he took a few minutes to go over what to expect after the shot and how to manage any possible side effects, which was really considerate and eased my nerves a lot. He had me take a deep breath and look the other way, and I didn't even realize he'd already administered it. The shot was absolutely painless. I felt him pinch my shoulder and that was it. Sincerely wish Mike was able to give me every shot I'll ever need forever. I wish there were more stars. It's rare to meet a healthcare professional that is happy to answer questions, respectful and considerate (especially with nervous patients) or can give a pain-free shot. Mike does all three.
