Since I am out of space to update this post, I will temporarily remove the original post. Once this situation is resolved, i'll repost the original with the final outcome. This is an email sent to the store manager.
Jeff, after being told someone would contact me regarding this incident, I still have yet to hear anything. I do, however, want to make something perfectly clear in writing: I have NO intent of pursuing ANY kind of legal action here regardless of the outcome of the upcoming pharmacy board hearing. Other than being treated like a complete piece of garbage and lied to, I haven't been harmed in any way as far as I know. I don't want nor do I need Kroger's money. What I want is accountability and an apology for the way I was treated and I would like to know what disciplinary action was taken at the store level. I want to know why these pharmacists and assistants are lying to people. It appears that there is some store policy in place here and it has been implemented in the WRONG manner. If there is a store policy, then it is policy. Period. You don't give licensed professionals free reign to discriminate at their will and use their own judgement to sell syringes to whomever they feel deserves them. What happens if there is a devoutly religious pharmacist who is biased against an individual transitioning from one sex to another and a person comes in asking for syringes for their hormone therapy? This puts the pharmacist/tech in a position to freely discriminate at will if they are against such things. To say that there is a "law" preventing dispensing syringes is a LIE. I have to buy them all the time and do so with zero issue from any of the other pharmacies around town. This is in direct violation of more than just one of the seven tenets/codes of conduct a pharmacist is expected to uphold. For the pharmacist to state that "store policy prevents me from selling this item to you" is the way a "policy" should be implemented thus covering the pharmacists butts and eliminating any potential liability the store could incur in situations such as these. Whoever implemented this "policy" of lying to patients needs to be reprimanded in some form or another. You treated me absolutely HORRIBLY and you have yet to answer for these actions. Going forward, is this the status quo we can expect from Kroger corporation now that you have monopolized our grocery options here? Your silence in this matter leads me to believe that this is, indeed, the case here.

It doesn't matter if you confirm your pickup time on the phone with a member of the pharmacy staff or if you get a confirmation text that your prescription is ready to be picked up, there WILL be a delay anywhere from 1 to 48 hours. You can count on making multiple trips to the store for 1 gd prescription because they're just never ready. I have wasted countless hours at this point waiting on them to have my prescription ready to be picked up just for them to send me home and say "maybe it'll be ready tomorrow." It's asinine that this happens every single time I pick up a prescription from this place but I'm forced to keep coming back because it's the only pharmacy in town that consistently carries my meds. For literal years now, my prescription has never once been ready to be picked up when they say it will be. Dealing with this place is infuriating

I work downtown, and frequently stop by City Market to pick up chips or a drink or other things. Usually the customer service is good to excellent. Today, however, As I was checking out my chips, they rang up at $5.99. I asked the woman for help checking the price, and she told me it was a digital sale (I don't subscribe to that) and they were $5.99. So I left and bought a bag of chips for $1.29 which supported a worthy cause. She's usually helpful, but I won't be buying chips or anything else here again.

Had kinda a bummer experience today here. I went out to the store for eggs, because what I was cooking required them and I was out (after working 12 hours). Got home and noticed 2 of the 6 were broken. In my haste to get home I didn't check the box before putting them in my cart like I usually do. So I used the eggs I needed for dinner and decided I'd make the drive back (less than 24 hours later) and ask if there was any way they could refund my EBT card or replace the broken eggs. All these two mangers cared about was where did the other 4 eggs of a $1.50 pack of 6 went. I heard them laughing and saying how ridiculous this was and that I stole the eggs. So they made this guy that worked there go get a new box, and handed me two eggs...where am I supposed to put these loose eggs I asked, so they put the two eggs in the carton with the broken ones. I'd really prefer not to bring raw open eggs back into my car while I'm running errands for the next few hours I said. So the guy begrudgingly took the other 4 eggs out of the fresh box and put my two in that carton. I'm sorry, maybe I am wrong for using the eggs before driving straight back into town to return them, but I felt since it was a $1.50 thing, and a third of the eggs were broken that maybe they could have handled this in a more compassionate, caring way that didn't make me feel like a embarrassed thief. Just saying.ALSO, the parking lot is a total nightmare. Be on your toes. I once had someone back up into me here. And if you are wanting to go left when you get out, good luck.

people only write reviews when something's gone bad but never when it's good. I love this city market and the employees here. I've been shopping here for years and everyone's always been kind and helpful and I can almost always find what I need here

Cit's Markets idea of order deli meat, cheese and pick up when done is a real time saver. the men who worked on Sept 6 were friendly and explained the process. the big downside is small basket for completed orders so people touch your baggie of items to get their food.

the first time i went there many of the shelves were empty. got stuck with a loaf of wonder bread. the check out was a joke. the lady walked off and after several minutes of waiting we tried the self check out. it was not working right and several customers were having problems. it is the most convenient to shop so i will continue to go there. the lot is always full and the check out lines are long. and produce is always a guessing game. i got a watermelon and it was not very good. when i get a crappy one, it is a long time before i try one again. makes wonder about the quality of their corn and avocados.

The deli in City Market in Town Plaza has the worst workers. Everytime I go there they pretend not to see you or hear you and will stay in the back so they don't have to help you. The gal with glasses is the worst. She'll just flat out ignore you and when she does it's like winning the lottery. Consider yourself lucky to be waited on. They rarely have chicken, dark or light, and only a couple of sides like mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. That's usually it. I just don't go in there anymore. Who wants to not get any service? No thanks! And girl with glasses, find another job that you don't hate.

I had an emergency flare up of my rheumatoid arthritis and was out of my town of residence. I called my provider and asked to transfer my needed prescription to this pharmacy. They said they could do it over the phone no problem, just have the city market pharmacy call them.So I did, and waited three hours. I hadn't heard back from them, so I called back. Turns out that the city market pharmacy called my pharmacy, but required a fax of the prescription, since city market is apparently living in the 80s. Since they didn't get it, because no one under 70 uses a fax machine, they wouldn't fill my prescription.I had to go to the ER to get my script in the end. These guys cost me hundreds because they won't accept an rx number over the phone and made only the most perfunctory effort to convince kp to send via fax.If you like heartless npcs who insist on using technology from 40 years ago, then city market pharmacy is right for you. If you are in search of an actual person who will actually put in a modicum of effort, go elsewhere. They cost me 16 hours of unbearable agony for to their insistance on antiquated tech and I will never shop there again.

The put me on hold in order that they could close at 7 and deny my wife the steroids prescribed by the ER for pneumonia. I had just turned around on my way out of town to try and fill the prescription, I was less than 2 minutes out.Needless to say I am unimpressed. Seems the pharmacy staff at City Market are bereft of even the most basic human decency.

So continually understaffed they can't get the previous weeks sales tags off the shelves, but I'M responsible for making sure what the correct price is? These were the employees exact words. What should have been a fairly quick self check-out turned into a long process, as almost everything I had purchased was sale priced, either current or apparently from the day before, but clearly marked on the shelf. CM is owned by Kroger. You are not some mom/pop operation. Pay a wage that will retain employees or expect more unhappy customers. And yes, we CAN find alternatives to dealing with you. This parking lot is not recommended for tourists. Even locals hate it. The parking lots at both CMs are a nightmare.

The absolute rudest employees and wanna be managers I've ever encountered. The Customer Service should be Customer Disservice. They are awful, obviously hate their jobs and use their position so they can try to have some power and authority in this world. Never friendly, rarely helpful and they treat people like idiots. Also..big one here..always make sure you tally your lottery tickets winnings so you know what you should be receiving. They are thieves, hideous, petty thieves. This place should clean house and start fresh, worst grocery store in town. The deli counter is no better. Only one time in over 3 years has someone actually said "I'll be right with you". Typically zero acknowledgment to let you know they are you. I understand they are finishing up other orders, but at least say hello.
