My friends boyfriend and dog were in a car accident and the dog ended up at Charlie's place. It took a couple days to get up to him from Denver and he was ecstatic to see his owner again. They took good care of him and he was fine. People were nice and thorough as well.

Hope you made an appointment... because if not you just drove all the way there for nothing. I'm from Michigan where most humane societies and rescues you just walk in and find a furry friend... I'm sure it's a great place though.

I adopted a beautiful Chow girl from this place. It was a great fit, because they actually let me spend a significant amount of time with her before committing to adoption, which made sure she would be a good match for me. Staff was so friendly and helpful, and it is a fantastic shelter.
