So far, so good. Every time I come here for something, I find they have more items than I would have expected. Running about 90% hit rate on random and varied needs over the past year. Bonus points for ice cream!

Wasn't closing time yet and I pulled up as the guy was just walking across the street getting in his truck. Obviously I needed something now I have to drive to a further place doesn't have much anyways

They may not always have what you need but they always try to keep the place stocked and they have ice cream and the staff is great.

We were camping in the Boggy Draw area over the summer and I had a cable that broke on our tent trailer. I was sure I was going to have to drive to Cortez to get what I needed, but I walked into the Delores General Store and received immediate assistance and they had exactly what I was looking for. It's so nice not to have to go to one of the big box hardware stores where you wander around the isles looking for a needle in a haystack while workers try to avoid making eye contact with you.

The Dolores General Store has a bit of everything, just as its name implies. Dolores is a tiny town; therefore, having a local general store like this one must be essential, unless you don't mind driving out to Cortez (...but Dolores is so much more pleasant). On a hot summer afternoon during our road trip through Colorado, my husband mentioned getting ice cream at the Dolores General Store, the same store that looks like a converted auto repair shop and sells paint.... I had my doubts, but figured there was no harm in checking it out. I was surprised to see that they actually have an ice cream counter with large tubs of ice cream to choose from. We were barely at the counter when an employee showed up to help us; he was very pleasant towards us.

Great small town general hardware store, with an extremely helpful staff. We were camping locally, forgot some items and the young man behind the counter helped us greatly with tools on-hand.
