A bunch of people that work hard together to take care of dogs found. Hopefully reuniting them with their family or just protecting them until they get the best thing ever. A FOREVER HOME. It's celebrated, because they love it when they find a loving family to take these awesome animals and add them to the pack.

I adopted a new dog yesterday, her name is Izzy for now but it's yet to be determined if it truly fits her or not. But she has been an absolute joy to have with me! The adoption process at tcras was a very enjoyable experience as always! I went in with a couple different dogs in mind that I thought sounded like they were going to be great additions to my life, and to my disappointment at first the first 3 furry littles I had wanted to meet had all been adopted just before I showed up! I was assured that they all went to very loving homes with some great families! The nice ladies at tcras had been doing a great job all morning and they didn't stop when I got there! They introduced me to a few of the other furry little friends, I'm so happy that I met Izzy instead! She is just perfect for me! It was love at first introduction for me! Although I wish I could take them all home! I think Izzy needed me as much as I needed her! Izzy is the 4th fur baby that I've had the pleasure to rescue from tcras and I have always had a very good experience with them there! 1st time was with my own "big girl" Stella who I had and loved for almost 8 years, and then with an old friend who adopted her hàrold from them, my little sister who I surprised her with her now best friend coco, and finally my new bestie Izzy who I met yesterday! Thanks for all you guys do! And for all the great supplies that you gave Izzy to come home with! She loves her Santa toy and the brushes the most. And I love the mud buster and treat mat the most! Oh and her blanket and dog bed are going to be well used also! She is settling in very well and seems to really love her new place! If your looking for a new furry friend and are able to make it out to divide Colorado then tcras is the first place, and maybe even the ONLY place I would go to find a new furry baby to add to my family! Just ask for Libby and she will get all set up with a perfect match for you and your family too! Thank you ladies again for another great experience!

I cannot say enough good things about Teller County Regional Animal Shelter (TCRAS)! The staff are incredibly caring and dedicated to the well-being of the dogs (and cats). One of the standout features of this shelter is their 'Doggy Day Out' program, which is simply fantastic. It allows you to take a dog out for the day, giving them a break from shelter life and a taste of love and adventure.Doggy Day Out not only benefits the dogs, but it was fantastic for us too. It's a win-win! Our pup was not miserable when we brought her back to TCRAS after the hike, which shows that they truly go above and beyond to ensure the dogs are happy and healthy. If you are looking for company on your next adventure and want to make a difference, check out TCRAS.

They are one of the best shelters I have visited. they do not give up on the animal just because they have been there.they do keep them for as long as it takes to adopt them out. they also work very hard at their training to get them adopted out too.

I love this animal shelter! TCRAS is unlike many other shelters where the pets there seem like they are warehoused in cement bunkers. At TCRAS you can clearly see how much the volunteers love their animals. This is a great place if you are considering adding a new fur baby to your family! You guys are great?

On March 4th of 2016 I adopted a female 4 year old cat and she is now 11and a half. Thank you TCRAS for sending her down to Pet Smart in Colorado Springs so I could find her there. I love her so much, the sun rises and sets on that kitty for me. She is so sweet and cute ,a tiny one that I named Joline.♥️

Got my beautiful cat Bella from there. She had problems eating and they thought it was her teeth or ulcers in her throat. Took to the vet, they just recommended a cleaning. So after her being rehabilitated at TCRAS I got her. After a month, she was grooming herself more eating a bit more... then- she inevitably threw up a hairball. In the hairball I found plastic confetti that had dog and cat faces on them. Ever since she doesnt gag, eats fine and is doing great!I thought I should let you know- whatever toys or food around there. please be mindful. I wonder if some psycho put it in her food? IDK but that was the problem...
