Kind of an awkward lot, with some people in larger vehicles just hanging out at the pumps, rendering open pumps inaccessible. Didn't appreciate the guy in the truck next to a pump, smoking with his window open, tapping his ashes out the window. But the gas price was good, and the bathroom was clean and modern.

First time I come in, lady is kind to me, though she won’t let me take advantage of the free icee Labor Day weekend special, being that it’s Fry’s Day and the offer starts Saturn’s Day. It’s out of her hands, of course. But whose hands is it in? Who are these Powers That Be who have cruelly decided that the weekend specials in this world shall not include Friday nights? It’s high time we had a revolution, brothers and sisters.After fueling up, I do the courteous thing and pull away from the pump, park it off to the side, well out of the way, while I do a little atlas mapping to figure out where I can hole up for the night. Well, some young blonde woman pulls up beside me and vilifies me for being parked there. The balls on this broad! Yelling at a strange, lone man parked outside a gas station in the middle of nowhere in a filthy car with Texas plates on—that’s how you get shot, kids—all over something so trivial that doesn’t really affect her. There was nothing but space beside me, folks, and she had absolutely no conceivable trouble getting by me except for that internal trouble which she brought on herself by being such a stinking stickler. And that could really get her in a world of honest-to-goodness trouble one of these days, doing like she done to me but to the wrong fella. Thankfully for her, I was the right fellow—by which I mean a man who couldn’t care one iota about her or her old curmudgeon attitude. But, mercy, a word to the unwise: be more discerning in what kind of bunk you accost random people over. Good heavens.Being that I found a hole (no, not her, not that a-hole) to pass the night nearby, I returned to this gas station the next morning to grab a coffee and redeem one of them free icees. Different folks working, and they was nice enough to let me fill up my little cooler with fountain-drink ice, also free of charge, when they could well have been ding dong sticklers like that dumb blonde and told me I gotta pay for ice. God bless the kind and carefree. Long and lovely shall we live our lives. ?

Go literally anywhere else up here for gas and service. After pulling in and filling my vehicle with a full tank (extremely slow pumps), I went inside to use the restroom. I was "greeted" by a rude man without a uniform who I asked about using the restroom. I was scoffed at and told "yeah I have a bathroom, for PAYING customers.". Can't say I've ever been so rudely treated at a gas station.

Had lunch at the new burger joint. The food was not very good and everything is a la carte. I new cared for a la carte. We will not be back!!

diesel pumps are too slow to do anything, keep going if you are looking for diesel, don't waste your time.

They have a strong manager who isn't afraid to get in there with the other employees. The store is alwap clean and clutter free. Everyone has been polite and helpful. Bathrooms are cleaned on a regular. I give 5 stars to the store and employees but 1 star to the after hour fuel pumps.

Good gas prices, closes a little early due to lack of employees but that seems to be the norm these days.

Really good staff, they sell firewood which is a staple demand of the hill country behind Pokes Peak.
