Amazing food, especially the burger and the fries! Troy the owner was so nice, hospitable, and gives the place character. Really really enjoyed this place.

At home feel. Bartender was nice. Everyone was friendly. We stopped in and had a few drinks before the storm got too bad. The Gurr's are always welcome here but they treat everyone like family.

Good food! This as a wide spot in the road in Dinosaur. Good basic cheeseburger at a reasonable price.

My family of six came in for a burger and a beer. We knew this was a bar but we're surprised there was only one table in the restaurant. We have been driving an RV across this side of the country for days and we were hoping for some comfortable seats to sit ourselves in while we enjoyed a family meal. I did take notice to the trump cut out and I was a little taken back but was willing to look past that as we all have our own opinions and differences we should try to get along. I was even willing to look past what I believe was the owner who had a breed that grew out of his chest and up to his eyebrows. We left because the "salad bar" looked like it was sitting on a warmer and I was not willing to give my family a food born disease. As we walked out my husband said thank you Sir but we've decided not to stay. The all over hairy man hollered something about "us liberal's we're not welcomed there. He then came out from the side of the restaurant asking why we were not eating there, in an agitated state. He came down on my family screaming about us being liberals again and my youngest son of 19 with a cool head said, listen man we are just a family looking for a place to eat a relax, we are not trying to start trouble. The man came at us again when my oldest son and husband stepped between him and I. My husband stood between our family and that man and told him we were not staying. The owner started crying out for some guy in the restaurant guess he needed back up. I don't know or really care what side of the political divide you stand. Hospitality, kindness and compassion goes a long way. I might not be able to review on the bar's food or drink but if I could give 0 stars for his shitty attitude I would. Not to mention him seemed like a big chicken shit! Who knows maybe his chicken is good.

While driving through Dinosaur on our vacation last month, we were looking for a good burger joint.People at the Dinosaur visitor center suggested we eat at the Highway Bar & Grill just down the street. We were glad to have had that suggestion: we had the best cheeseburgers and fries on our entire trip! The owner is the cook, and he knows burgers! Grilled-to-order, excellent service, very reasonable prices, and very clean establishment. Service at the bar, at a table, or outdoors. Pool table for entertainment, or visit with the locals. Stop in for a beer, a soda pop, and/or a burger, or one or all of the tasty appetizers -- moz. sticks, chicken dippers, jalapeno poppers or breaded mushrooms. You won't leave hungry!

The waitress was very awkward and made very inappropriate comments. The patio was an absolute mess but was open to guests.

I give a four star because it has good food. It is a bit small but the owner is friendly and prices are fair. It's a bit old and not exactly up to most places health and safety codes but that dirty very well seasoned grill is why you get such a good burger!

Slopper, Slopper, Slopper! If you stop here to eat, and you like open faced pork green chili burgers, don't bother spending your time looking at the menu. Just say, "Give me that Slopper!"Troy, behind the bar and cooking our food...probably the owner but didn't have that conversation, was a HOOT to talk to! He has stories for miles and all the juicy gossip about the neighboring counties. Almost as juicy as that meal!! ;-P Fair warning: the political decor is a bit overwhelming, but there was no mention of politics in the hour that we were there. I think a debate with Troy would be a lively affair, but nothing was ever brought up or mentioned. Troy told us a story about being compared to a Guy Fieri reviewed Slopper in Pueblo and that his Slopper was "better, by-far" and although I have never had a Slopper in Pueblo, I'm now gonna be looking!Nice little hole-in-the-wall bar with GREAT bar food and lively conversation with locals and passers-by. Thanks, Troy! Cheers!

Great stop while doing both sides of Dinosaur National Monument! Kids had the hot dog and chili dog (they loved!) and we had the cheeseburgers. Soooo well flavored and loved the toppings bar for all the toppings! Fries were great. But the onions rings were my favorite. Our waitress was extremely nice and took such great care of us. One of the best stops we had on this month long road trip! ?
